You can tell Ash has been waiting to see a zombie baby for a long time. The look of pure joy on his face is priceless...
Do you think they'd like Z Nation?
@@moonlitskylight5740 Well Ash would anyway..."No Neck" Hannah would not. But that's where it becomes fun. I tune in mostly to see No Neck Hannah freak out & drag out the puke bowl.
The wicked smile he had for the scene with the baby zombie was a little bit unsettling lol. Love this movie and the reaction was on point though
Lmao c'mon man damn spoiler alert 🚫!!!! 😢 Lmfao I said aww shiat Ash gonna is combobalate and just be hitting symbolism's outta of the park lmao. I am just getting into the reaction and already predict another MF'ing 🖕🏻BANGER 👌🏻! JUST TRUST ASH IS PURE

@@moonlitskylight5740nah z nation too low budget
I saw this movie in the theater when I was six months pregnant so it had an extra layer of terror for me. My daughter ended up being a huge horror movie fan. Kinda makes me wonder. 🤔
That happened to me, too. My mom went to go see the original Scream when she was pregnant with me; my great-grandma told her not to because it would "mark" me.
I'm a big horror movie fan now...
Babies can hear in the womb! My former band teacher was pregnant when I was in school and said that her baby would kick to the sound of music. Babies also often respond to the sound of their mother's voice in the womb.

**Man tries to carjack Ana**
Hannah: “Help him! He’ll be your friend!” 🤣
She definitely wouldn't last long in any sort of apocalypse
REC(2007) is another classic horror zombie movie, and it's first-person-view, definitely worth watching!
That whole series is great, though i watch quarantine which isnt as good but my eyes are bad
@@zombie5505 nah only the first 2 are good, the rest are just dumb
The Spanish version is the best!!
28 days later is also a good one for them
@@gabrielmorog2931 agreed, and it’s in England!!
It's a "mall" they are in...a supermarket is one store, the mall has several stores in it.
I was looking for that comment
The entrance with the Johnny Cash music is so amazing
Yeah, its one of the best opening credits I’ve seen. It’s sucks they skipped 100% of it. Even with copyright you’d think they could show just a little.
@@danijel83 Obviously, but the rest of the scenes they cut 100% of weren’t “one of the best…” I’ve seen.
No one beats the man in black. Long live the cool classic songs of Johnny Cash. His songs were far more than music they were stories from his own life.
This was Zack Snyder's first major film debut. No flashy filters, off set camera angles or extravangant lighting. Just gritty and raw filmmaking with some real passion behind the camera. This was the best zombie movie of my era growing up. Snyder would go on to direct another zombie movie called Army of the Dead with Dave Bautista. Nowhere near as good as this but still pretty entertaining. Great reaction.
Aotd è buonissimo come questo. È solo diverso, ma geniale e molto valido.
great approach, i feel the same way u feel brother. this movie defined my visual aesthetic tbh high contrast with a lil saturation and just a bit granulated
James Gunn also worked with him on this movie , james wrote the movie and zack direct it .
It helped that James Gunn wrote the script. Snyder is great at style, not so good at substance. He needs good writers.
The Sheriff on the news that said to shot them in the head is legendary makeup effects artist Tom Savini. He did the makeup and effects on the original "Dawn of the Dead" (1978), so you can thank him for the blue makeup. He also worked on "Friday the 13th" franchise and other great '80s horror movies including "Maniac" (1980), "The Prowler" (1981), "Creepshow" (1982), etc. He's a legend in the horror genre.
Also, the biggest lesson of this movie: never have a running chainsaw in the vehicle while it is moving...
He was also the best character in From Dusk Till Dawn
@Nathan Wood
Rodriguez used him again in "Planet Terror" One of the funniest scenes in the movie 😄
Not to mention that the priest in the TV is the main actor from original Dawn of the Dead from 1978.
@@richardrobbins387 planet terror - now THAT is something they should see
Tom Savini is a legend,100%.
It is also true what they say about never meet your heroes...He is 100% a dick. Just a flippant dismissive asshole. Sucks.
I love how when they wanted to cast extras for the zombie hordes, they ended up hiring actual amputees for the zombies with limbs missing so those guys could get a Lil bit of work and make some money. It also made it look Hella realistic for those scenes
I lost a girlfriend because I thought the zombie baby was the funniest fucking thing I'd ever seen. She was so mad at me that we split up less than a week later.
😂 no way?!
thats sad... its fiction. Maybe saved yourself from a whacko.
17:00 "My nightmare, is being a zombie giving birth"
Dude just cracks up 😂
Mr. Snyder at his best with this movie! One of my favorites from Zack
James Gunn wrote a good deal of this. And the look-alike game with popping celebrities on the roof of the mall is a violent version of a game he'd play at restaurants and bars.
"Hey, look Elvis just walked in" etc.
@@richardrobbins387 A lot of the story was rewritten taking out most of what james gunn did. He himself said something about it in some interview.
He should make more movies like that
“if i saw the state of her she’d be straight out the window” 😂😂 LMFAO
"You've literally just set up a Zombie baby Circus..." THIS is why I watch you guys. Legendary!🤣
You two should be on a sitcom or at least a reality tv show.🤣
Well, what do you think the true meaning of this channel really is :D
Yeah, Like SISKEL & EBERT MOVIE REVIEWS, and call it: "THE WISE CRACKERS!"
I grew up with the Original version and consider it a masterpiece, that being said, this movie is awesome in every way. It is still my favorite Zack Snyder film.👍
Hannah going "what started the fires" while theres a literal explosion in the backround had me face palming so hard
26:10 i love this line cuz it emphasizes the relationship between the two. It also implies that he may have a brother too irl
I remember watching this in theaters as a 15 year old, man it was so much fun!
Since you 2 are in London you should definitely watch, 28 Days Later and 28 Weeks Later, takes place in your neck of the woods 👍🏼
Great reaction you two
Omg I hope they will! I love them movies
I am a 58 year old (white male), been married for 34+ years (3 children-Grown) and watch many reviewers/first time watchers. I have to say that I LOVE your banter and relationship (as per only known through CZcams) and have moved you towards the top of my viewing list. Thank you so much for the entertainment.
When this came out, I was blown away. Never seen a zombie movie this good until this came out
Oh man I remember watching the behind the scenes stuff from this on DVD back when that was a thing - it's all on CZcams. You guys should react to that stuff! It basically shows a local news station broadcasting from the start of it all right up until the power goes out on everything and civilization is done for, and it also shows the entire movie from Andy's perspective, the gun store owner across the street from the mall. It was so cool, because all of the behind the scenes stuff made the movie feel much more real because of it! Love you guys' videos, keep doing your thing! 🙂
Edit: HAHAHAHAH! Ash finally got his zombie baby! 🤣
oh yes the extra stuff on dvd is so good. they don't do it anymore. the guy at the gunstore recording himself.
My best memory of 2004 was having Channel 4 show the pre-credits sequence of this film ahead of its cinema release. I was so excited they had remade Dawn of the Dead, having been a big Romero fan since forever. Needless to say - a trip to the cinema was made shortly after.
Cinema was epic for this movie
My lovely recommendation! I can't wait for you guys to react to the next film I choose! 😍 I'm also glad you both enjoyed Dawn of The Dead! I also hope my second recommendation is a hit!
Thank you so much you legend ❤️
@@justtrustashIs this the Director's Cut?
The warriors 1979 👍
@@babyfood9537 My second recommendation is The Blues Brothers from 1980 🙂
@@babyfood9537 Highly recommend! a fantastic cast and also a fantastic soundtrack 🙂.
"That's terrible you won't get a job." ROTFLMAO!🤣🤣🤣
Poor Hannah being teased.😂
The short specials for Dawn of the Dead are great too. The last video tapes of Andy and the news specials were great add ons for the movie.
yeah, so good.
Yeah that's awesome how they did that & the news anchor dude breaking down the events of the outbreak, kinda mirrors the chaos in the news room at the start of the original.
This movie is a remake the original version is also called Dawn of the Dead (1978). Three actors from the original movie were also in this movie. Ken Foree who played the televangelist, Tom Savini who played the sheriff and Scott Reiniger who played the general.
That ending though 😂
The cop is Ving Rhames. You'd remember him as Marcellus Wallace from Pulp Fiction.
He was also Charlie-27 in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, hopefully he comes back in Vol. 3.
"If the zombies ate her theyd be full for a week"😂😂😂 yooo
This is a rare instance of a remake doing a fantastic job of respecting the past and adding something unique. Great reaction, so good to see a new, fresh reaction to something I've watched so many times!
This is personally my favorite zombie movie all-time! If you wanna see some zombie dogs I'd recommend checking out Resident Evil, the first one is pretty good.
NICE!!
The guy who directed MAN OF STEEL, SUCKER PUNCH, WATCHMEN and Justice League, Zack Snyder, directed this movie, and it was his first film!
James Gunn, director of GOTG 1,2,3, wrote the script as well.
James gunn wrote the scrpit But it was massively rewritten by others. He mentioned something about it.
Awesome movies, Awesome director
@@ciskilla esatto. È stato riscritto da michael tolkin perché la sceneggiatura di gunn faceva cagare
@@ciskilla only maybe 25%
@@ciskilla I don’t know how much it could have been rewritten. It has all of Gunn’s trademark humor.
"zombie baby circus" is a great name for a punk rock band.
Not to be pedantic (maybe a little), but they're in a mall, not a supermarket. At least in the US, a supermarket is essentially a grocery store, while a mall is several different businesses all together in a single huge complex.
This was the first zombie movie I ever saw ... I remember being like 16 years old and going to the theater to see this with friends and being so freaked out...then going the next weekend to watch it again haha. Love this film and so happy you two enjoyed it!
One of the most underrated zombie movies of all time right here
"Get up, come on, get down with the sickness" while the modern family guy is banging while recording 🤣 instant classic!
Please please please do Train to Busan! It’s Korean, and the very best Zombie movie. We got nothing on Korean thrillers. I’m so excited to watch this. The two of you are my absolute favorite! Come to Orlando! I’ll take you both to Disney! 😂
Train to Busan is such a great zombie movie. It's funny that Zack's Dawn of the dead Inspired Sang-ho yeon to make Train to Busan.
@@ciskilla I didn't know that! Makes sense why they're both among my go to zombie movies.
Definitely my all-time favorite zombie movie!! The cool part is that the movie location takes place in my hometown of Milwaukee!!
this movie is a classic. this movie is my very first dvd copy and i used to watch it multiple times. this is a masterclass on how to write a zombie apocalypse.
also in dvd, there are extras about that guy who was in the roof of the gun store recording himself everyday. i miss those kinds of things.
The "Ash zombie turn" at the end was perfect!! 😂😂😂
That was funny as hell! My favorite bedtime ritual, get high and watch just trust ash…fantastic chemistry you two always make me smile👍🏽thank you
You guys are the best, I would love to see you two watch The Last Duel, its right up your alleys
a film that contributed greatly to the revival of the zombie genre. the additional shorts on the disc were also interesting.
Ayo that ending! Love you two.
Thanks for sharing your reaction
looking forward to more!
IF you guys haven't seen The watchmen movie directed by mr snyder, please check it out
They already saw 300 and loved it. I think they would like watchmen or his DC trilogy.
CJ made a great transformation. Him dragging Tucker, and Tucker covering CJ's tail... teamwork, baby!
I watch a LOT (probably too many) reaction videos. You 2 are top-shelf, hands-down in my top 3 best movie reaction couples. I feel as if I’m watching friends react to a movie, as opposed to a couple overdoing it for the camera. You both play off each other extremely well!
I just rewatched this movie! Such a classic horror movie.
29:31 You guys need to watch Train to Busan, they do this exact thing! It's a fantastic Korean Zombie flick, will make you cry, laugh and jump!
Ash dying of laughter at the zombie baby had me LMAO
12:20 Just so you know that's a dude in a suit. That's why she's able to run so fast. The makeup is so good that you literally cannot tell that that's a guy you think it's an old grandma. I can't remember who the dude is that they got to play her but he did a good job cuz she was creepy as hell
That wheelbarrow woman is the silliest part of this film. I mean she's so obviously about to be a zombie.. No one would trust her be near her..hahah
When there is no more room in hell...
The dead, will walk the earth.
In the UK, is a Shopping Mall called a Supermarket? I was rather confused to hear Ash use that term for a Shopping Mall, because in the US all 'Supermarket' means is that its a particularly large store that sells more than groceries, but it's quite distinct from a full on Shopping Mall like in the movie. I feel like it fits as a term though, since a shopping mall is literally a super sized version of an old time Marketplace
The closest equivalent would be a shopping centre and I think we only have a few in the UK. Supermarkets are a lot more common. We also have in-door markets but they're not really the same as a shopping centre/shopping mall. A grocers is like a little corner shop, we use to call it a paper shop because it's where you'd buy your local newspaper from. At least that's how it is up north, they might use different names in southern England.
This movie is part of the reason Sarah Polley moved to directing. Landing in that bathtub and then falling from that window onto her back...she did some permanent damage, bless her. It looks fabulous but gd.
"Why did you embrace it like your long lost cousin?" I died. R.I.P.J.G. 😆😂🤣
in case you didnt recognize him thats Ving Rhames from Pulp Fiction. Thats why he cool
He was also Charlie-27 in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, hopefully he comes back in Vol. 3.
I love you keep calling the mall a supermarket lol
The priest in the TV that says "When there is no more room in hell, the dead will walk the Earth" is the main actor from original Dawn of the Dead from 1978.
(You should have watched that one first)
" Take your disinfectant clothes off" Ash has that sanitary rizz.
Ving Rhames kills the badass role in every film he's in. Check out Con Air. It has Nick Cage, Ving Rhames, Steve Buscemi, John Malkovich, Dave Chappelle, Danny Trejo... Jesus Christ that movie had a crazy amount of star power for a popcorn action flick. And it is 100% awesome every step of the way.
*LMFAO NAH THAT ENDING IS CRAZY😭*
Real quick. Backstory is this was more paranormal..not the undead. There was no virus spread..if you go back and listen to the preacher on the TV he explains it. I saw this in theaters and it was awesome and gave a strange feeling when leaving. Great job guys.
Watched till the end and the end made me lmfao 😂
Both zombie impressions was impressive
when i was 4 years old my big brother let me watch this with him and his friends, and after that i couldnt sleep by myself for years and i was terrified of zombies xD i went back and watched it as an adult and it was more of a comedy than anything
Loved your banter, both before and after! Great reaction guys!
Cheers mate ❤️
'Where are the fires coming from, why is there fires?' EXACTLY! Zombie movies keep adding fires for no reason. Why? Do the zombies spontaneously burst into flames off camera? o_O
"Oh my God can I see the baby?" 😂😂😂
I live in America and I rely on the sound of a shotgun cooking to scare someone. That way I don't have to shoot anyone who may try to break in or attack me. One of my favorite sounds in the world.
Honestly being stuck in a mall would be great for supplies but probably not safe to stay in for too long
Stay for a few days, gathering as many essentials as possible. Then ride out of the city in those vans
I'm really excited to see this i love this movie! also you guys need to watch Never Back Down i need to see Hannah's pure rage again 😆
The Persian Prince and Ginger Queen return to make my day off extra hilarious! Thanks guys!✌🏻
Fun Fact: For Luda's slow transformation, they had to work on and change her makeup daily to slowly show her changing so when the time came she was pretty much ready.
Peter Jackson’s Dead Alive(Brain Dead) has a baby zombie. Good times🎉
"I kick ass for the Lord!"
If you’d watched the far superior classic 1978 original DOTD and the 1979 Italian ‘follow up’ Zombie, this movie and it’s ending would have made more meaning. Please check those out.
"I would wrap myself in barbed wire!"
Hahahaha oh my god! 😂
"She made his neck like cheese!"
And now I'll never eat cheese again. Thanks.
"Wow that was really good ashkon now look at my zombie impression "
"Nah that was terrible , youll never get a job " 😅😅😅 im dyin
This movie was one of the few movies I've seen so many times as a kid! I loved this one, it also introduced me to Disturbed, so another great thing for it :D
Hannah watching these kinds of movies gets me rolling she’s too funny😂😂😭💀
The 1978 original is better, but this is a pretty good remake.
You guys should have watched that first, along with the original zombie film, George Romero’s 1968 “Night Of The Living Dead.”
Facts
Sono entrambi allo stesso livello
World War Z has the fastest zombies I've ever seen.
When they did their zombie impressions it remind me of Shawn of the dead
Ving Rames is the shit. Such an underrated actor.
Omg so excited, I love this movie! Poor Hannah though😂
Hannah is like the fan favorite in a horror movie, but dies in the very end. She gives Kirby vibes from Scream 4.
25:31 That was actually pretty fuckin' awesome!!!!
Blows my mind how Zac Snyder can direct this and then direct that joke of a film "army of the dead". Also what a COLOSSAL mistake it was to end this film the way he did, FOR NO REASON, and quash any hope for a sequel. It was so obvious a sequel would be a hit. But yeah, for some reason making a zombie film sequel is the hardest thing EVER. I think there's only maybe 1 time it's really ever happened. Yes, there's a handful of sequels but they're not direct sequels and rarely even feel connected to the original in any way.
But yeah, ya gotta see the original. It's so much fun and the characters are legit.
I remember people hated on this movie when it first came out because it didn’t honor George Romero’s style. They also hated that these were fast zombies.
Now it’s considered one of the best zombie flicks ever made.
I can't wait til they find, "The Cell" with J Lo and Vincent D'Onofrio. Super trippy and a visual masterpiece. Might bring back No Neck Hannah for a bit. 🤣
Just started vid and first... Hannah! LET YOUR MAN ADMIRE YOUR VOLUMPUTOUS MELONS!!😂 I love watching you two admire each other ♡♡ I am living vicariously through your relationship, I need the juicy moments!!😂
I remember this movie, this is the 1st movie that showed me that zombies can be physically fast.. I was like " I thought zombies are slow and silly "... whaaat
The zombie missing an arm and the legless zombie were played by actors actually missing those limbs.
CJ was definitely the best character. Great character development for a zombie movie, started as an asshole, who would choose himself over everyone and ended up sacrificing himself for everyone
It's a "Mall" man, not a "Supermarket". Supermarkets are just grocery stories with some extras, or like a Walmart. The Mist is set in a supermarket/grocery store. This is a shopping mall 100%.
Sweet caring Hannah was out the window as soon as she saw the lady in the wheelbarrow lol.
Do you want the jokes to stop? 😂
22:40 😂 I’d be in your group in the apocalypse
