The Reflex 14B is exactly what I want. Seeing this review from someone I trust seals the deal. Team Associated engineering and support. The perfect size and spec. There are many lower priced options in this size and spec but the Reflex 14B represents the best value for me. Thanks for the review!

Very informative, especially for me. Ever since I moved to the city, I haven't been able to fly my drones much. I've been looking into making a switch to RC cars!

Alex and Austin, the fact that you both are concentrated on hobby grade rcs for a budget is wonderful! I love flitetest and I've been a very early sub to drive on as well, for a reason... quality content without prejudice and family friendly videos. My entire family loves both channels and we all appreciate what you do! Thank you for such great content!

I don't understand why this buggy doesn't get more love. I have it and the 144001. There is no comparison. The 14B is a remote control dart. The 144001 feels like a buggy built by marketing weasels to a low price point - filled with slop, loud, herky-jerky, etc...

Reminds me of a brushed Dromida buggy in this scale I had. It set me back 100$ because it was brushed, but they made hex adapters that you could ut 1/10 buggy front tires on it

Owned 2 of teams 1/8th scale buggy’s and the 1/8 truck. Would never go back to traxxas or any other brand. Never had any mechanical issues yet to replace any parts due to wear over 3 years. My friend actually took one full speed into a tree and I only lost the part that secured the front shots to the tower. Excellent build quality from AE well worth the extra money

I used to race 1/10th scale buggies, and yeah, the spike tires don't last at all on concrete or asphalt. A couple of packs and they'll be pretty much slicks. When they get to that point buy a new set of tires and rims for off roading, and keep the worn ones for concrete. Even bald they'll have plenty of grip on concrete. When racing I used to save an old bald set of tires for test running my car in the street, and save my "good" tires for racing.

a little something you should keep in mind with rc cars, grass inherently creates a lot of rolling resistance which in turn puts a lot of drag on the drive train, grass can smoke an esc and/or motor if you push it too hard, it can be rough on diffs also
so what's with the lackluster interest in surface vehicles, the governments over-reaching anti-dronitism offensive starting to get to you, cars aren't even close to the rush you get from flying, maybe adding fpv to rc cars will create some excitement, oh wait then it would be like just like driving a real car.......

So the 1/28th scale team associated cars don't count as the first? Maybe because those have a shared chassis with another brand? Like a chinese cookie cutter design?

those are a completely different experience.. Those are micro.. ultralightweight and made for extremely smooth surface.. even Mid length carpet is almost too much to for them.. This thing is primarily outdoor because it is FAST

@FliteTest thanks man, much appreciated 👍😉 if it has a 45-60 amp esc should handle a low rated 3s Lipo
