- It's been a very good Premier League season. And because of that, I wanted to make a short video the final matchday and some of the major stories at the top of the table. Longer season review will be coming the next few weeks.
Congratulations, Manchester City!

But PSG has won it like 12 times in a row and Bayern like 11 times. Come with the comparisson once city have won it as many times as PSG and Munich
@@gilgamesh8334 Stop spouting nonsense. PSG only won 4 in a row, and two times they've won 3 in a row. Look things up before writing shit. Still a farmers league though
the difference again is that the Big 6 has the muscle to compete, all billion dollar clubs. Chelsea has spent over a billion over the past 2 years alone. Utd has spent more than anyone over the past 10 years. This alone makes the prem different from Ligue 1 and the Bundesliga. City doesn't get most of their players from EPL teams, so that alone separates them from Bayern. City is a well oiled machine(pun intended), They have great recruitment, great background staff and great on field management and finally a wealthy owner who's willing to cough up as much money as necessary.
I genuinely feel like the serie A is the most competitive league currently , that epl being tough is just a myth caused by heavy campaigning and marketing
No ucl since 2010...
As a Milan fan, no we are not.
It came during a time when league was genuinely competitive. Chelsea, Arsenal, United, Liverpool all had a chance. Now, it's only 2, MAYBE 3 clubs (but really only 1).
100% agree with this. Serie A since 2020 has been competitive, especially at the top of the table. But marketing will tell everyone we have the best league in the world
then you havent seen the german league this year with bayern only being 3rd. sry but i think the german one was far more comp tbh and gained alot of respect from all over the world. this seas with germans advanced ext far in the UCL and the extrem comp league this year, made them kinda not so farmers league anymore.

@@waytun9608 of course, I say this as a United fan. I’m giving him time to grow (we tend to be very harsh on new players as fans) but man, he’s kept me entertained at the least. His spins, the delusion of certain choices, it’s not boring at least
Brilliant point regarding Arteta. Forget transfers and wages, he’s done this all without the bald bonus attack points. If ever he shaves his head the league will definitely be in trouble.
We won’t be ready when that day comes
He is bald, but has a head like a Lego.
That would be his final form
Arteta one day will leave this earth, maintaining a perfectly full hairline. 😂
if klopp went bald he might of left with 6 prems

Well at least the prem is mostly close. Psg win the league by a mile every year. Almost always the same with bayern
@@charskullno not really just look at the tables it's not every year
And when Ole was couch Mancity won buy over 12 points every year so what's ur point?
@ashtonndlovu9470 ok.fuck me sure maybe not every year. But for the last 3 years there was a title race. Leicesters season had a title race til near the end so did chelseas latest prem win. In that time psg and bayern have maybe been challenged once
Man city have the best manager in the world, who has a team he's had limitless resources to build to his wishes since 2017, and yet it came down to the final day with him and an arsenal team that were assembled under arteta 3 years ago. Liverpool missed out by 1 point on the last day in the 2021-22 season. Arsenal lost out last season by 6 points.
Compare this to La liga where Real Madrid have won by 12 points this season, barca won by 10 points last season, Real Madrid won by 13 points in the 2021-22 season, and so on...
Leverkusen have won the bundesliga by 17 points this season. The closest it has been in a long time was last season when bayern scraped the title by goal difference. They won the 21-22 season by 8 points, 2020-21 season by 13 points, the 2019-20 season by 13 points again and so on.
Serie A is just as bad. Inter won by 19 points this season, Napoli won by 16 points the season before, was 2 points difference between inter and Ac Milan in 2021-22 season, but in 2020-21, inter won again by 12 points.
Man city have not "dominated", they've clutched, multiple times. The margins for their victories have been far closer on a more regular basis than comparable leagues like la liga, the bundesliga or Serie A.
The real farmers league is the friends we made along the way
leverkusen win bundesliga by 17 point difference
real madrid win la liga by 12 point difference
psg win ligue 1 by 9 point difference
inter win serie a by 19 point difference
mancity win pl by 2 point difference . still level them farmars is retardness
Speaking of Austria, Sturm Graz has saved Austrian football (for now) their win against Austria Klagenfurt 2-0 on the final day was enough to win the Österreich Bundesliga despite RB Salzburg’s 7-1 win against LASK.
Yeah man.. That's literally the more interesting than PL title race

As a Villa fan, I'm just grateful we managed to grab 4th spot.
As for City - the 115 charges against them can't be ignored, but from a purely football perspective, they really are one of the best teams on the planet. You can't argue with results. Their recruitment has been phenomenal, their management is world class, and they seem to be a genuinely well run club.
Thank you for having a brain
How can you still be a villa fan after the basketball game with crystal palace
bro what was with the form you guys finished the season in? Will they fix it over the summer or will Villa completely collapse next year in the Prem and the UCL?

You know seeing Man City’s Success this year REALLY puts in perspective how INSANE Don Carlo (Carlo Ancelotti) and Real Madrid have been this respective year. Even with all the injuries and uncertainties, Won their respective league, beat Man City IN the UCL for seasonal bragging rights, and possibly have a chance by definition to have a Treble-like winning season themselves this year (I know for the purists the Supercopa doesn’t have the same level of prestige as the Copa Del Rey, but by definition a Treble is 3 trophies in a Season so it can by definition be called one if Real win the UCL outright)
This is why Don Carlo is miles ahead of Pep. So much injured players and he turns CL into farmers league. It's easy to do it when you have unlimited budget and you cheat your way out

It was ALWAYS a farmers league. Only during the time Chelsea was bought by Roman was there any competition whatsoever. It is always a Manchester club dominating. The arrogance of the British inhibits them to see this
Always? Did you forget Wenger and his Invincibles?
If no one steps up, the PL will just be the Bundesliga before Leverkusen. How people believe the PL is the best league in the world is beyond me. Then again the British are masters at propaganda. They’re the reason the world thinks Napoleon was super short when he was actually average height.
what confounds me is that ignorant fools like yourself can't seem to comprehend the excellence and rivalry that the epl has to offer, what league is even comparable to epl intensity, laiga?

tbf tho, it probably was the most entertaining title race involving three teams and wasn’t decided till the last game (even know it was basically inevitable city would win)
While Ferguson was in charge, Man United was farming the Premier League. Now people rant because Manchester City started doing the exact same thing
Exactly people tend to forget how saf won 7/9 titlers with united barley not winning those 2 titles
United didn’t do it with financial doping tho
I'm not United fan, but there was one thing that everyone could respect of Man Utd is that they created their own success, they didn't an Oligarch (Chelsea) or Nation State (City) to fund their success. Had the FFFP at the beginning of Fergie's reign, I very much doubt they would have faced charges the way City have.

Idk, to say the Prem was competitive feels wrong when the team that everyone expected to win won and the teams that came up are going down. There clearly is an imbalance of wealth in the league that screws over every team competing for the title and screws over the teams trying to stay up

You seem to be taking credit away from city by saying the other clubs are not good enough. Liverpool lost out on the title in 2021-22 by a point. Arsenal lost out last season by 2 games, and this season by 2 points after leading for most of the season. It's not about the lack of ability, it's about consistency over the season. For various reasons, man city have perfected being consistent enough to win multiple seasons back to back by much smaller margins than comparable leagues. I wouldn't call it farming, I'd call it being a specially world class team. Last season in CL, they made real Madrid look average.
@ecaeas4439 no one cares about margins and context. 4 in a row = farmers league. Am I supposed to feel sympathy for a club with a gulf state funding them & 115 charges?
Pep has the luxury of having grealish who isn't a 100 mill player on the bench. Do me a favour. Credit lol
@@Trudon A farmers league is where 1 - 2 teams consistently dominate the rest and nobody else stands a chance of winning. 4 leagues in a row... that's just proof that city know to take every single chance to maximise title chances. Real Madrid or Barcelona could drop multiple points in la liga and still win comfortably with the thresholds they typically win by. City's wins have come down to a few points during 3 of these 4 consecutive wins.
And sure, you make a good point about them being funded by a gulf state. If that's all that mattered and the PL was a farmers league where no one else can compete, then surely they should won by 10+ points every time easily? That's not what has happened though.

It's the money. If most of the PL teams have more money than all the other league teams, they will attract the best talent in the long-run.
This is what ive been saying and im surprised its not been mentioned more on social media. If anything more ppl should have been surporting Arsenal for making the league look a bit competitive
Glad to see Klop was able to see Manchester City's success with a level head. So many people want to clam that FFP breaches are the only reason for their success and although it obviously helps all the teams surrounding them in the league a spend similar insane sums of money while not creating a slither of the success or quality that the City squad produces. (Im an Everton fan)
It was the closest league out of all the top 5 leagues in Europe
The difference is that everyone knew who would win when it started. The EPL appears to be competitive because it's close, but the end result is almost always the same. The competiveness is an illusion. You don't know who's winning La Liga or Serie A at the start of the season, even if you can probably predict the first two (which you can't in the EPL).
@@elr492 it went down to the last game of the season, and City weren’t even top with a fortnight to go…but you think that isn’t competitive? Ok, I guess…
@@GIBBO4182 competiveness is not knowing who would win in the end. Evidence of the last 7 years points that there is no such thing when the league starts. There's very little point to what happens in the middle if you know the outcome.

As you are in Austria right now. Sturm Graz just ended Red Bull Salzburgs reign of 10 League Titles in a row!! I think this is a sign that Austrias football landscape is healthier than ever. 🎉🎉🎉
You can hate it, you can love it. The fact is that Man City is just better. Blaming it on money is nonsense at this point. I'm not saying they haven't spent a lot of money, they definitely have. But so have other teams. Chelsea, Man City, Man United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham, and West Ham have all spent more than a billion euros on players since 2010. Chelsea has spent 2.8 BILLION EUROS, and they're sixth. Man United is eighth. It's more than just money. It's talent, skill, management, quality. Look at Leverkusen and Girona.
The league was only decided on the final day. That's basically the definition of competitive. Oh well, guess that also turned into a rant - love your content :D
2 points isn't better. The Liverpool game was a penalty
Nobody said boo when liverpool and united were winning. Now suddenly City do, everyone has a problem. Calling it a farmers league. It was Arsenal and Liverpool who dropped points, City didn't ask them to. How about blaming the shortcomings of your own club instead of pointing fingers at City. Fucking idiots!
Premier League has always been a Farmers League. Man Utd dominated the 90's and 00's (with the exception of Blackburn, Arsenal, Chelsea winning one or two) and the 2010's and 2020's have mostly been Man City
before the 90s?
The yardstick of why the EPL is a farmer’s league is not because Man City won the title 4 times in a row but because no matter how dominant City was, they still failed in Europe. The top clubs in EPL failed in all European competitions and none made it to the semi finals of the CL or EL.

The definition of competitive comes from how many matches does it take for the league leaders to lift the trophy before the season ends.
In my opinion EPL and Bundisliga have been top notch the last 3 seasons.
Other leagues lift the cup with 5 or 6 games to go meanwhile epl gets you to sit at the edge of your seat on the very last day
Serie A has been competitive since 2020. Even going on to the final day to decide who wins. Napoli only had an astounding season last yea and Interiis simply unplayable now
@@OluseyiOnashile sacrilegious! that you have the nerve to compare the epl to Seria a
Lol so now you redefine competitive? Is that a f@cking joke? "The definition of the word is basically the one that aligns with my point." Give me a break. The argument in favour of the EPL over Bundesliga and Ligue was always "It's a one horse race." The same team always wins. That's what you all said. Then you started moving the goalposts when city started dominating and saying "The top 4 race is soooo competitive." Finally you guys are talking about the point difference at the end. I've never seen such weaselly argumentation in all my life. Just give it up. It's embarrassing. The PL today is what you criticized other leagues for before Pep came. End of.
@@demejiuk5660 You're making a surface level analysis which wouldn’t be a good way to define a farmers league. If we define it as a league where only one team wins then it is too broad of a definition. You completely ignore other aspects of the league like battle for europe, battle for relegation, quality of play, quality of personnel, how unpredictable the league’s games tend to be. You apply this to all the leagues of Europe you will be able to see what the farmers are. We need basic standards in order to settle measly arguments like this.
@@FreddyNjuakomyeah and other legate shave had better races for relegation and top four as well.
It's not a farmer's league if the team that wins the league is able to win UCL and is feared outside of England. The title race lasts to the last day of the season. And the league is won by small margins. If it was a farmers league it would have been won by Manchester City beginning of April.
So Germany was never a Farmer's league because Bayern won the Champions League, was feared outside of Germany and only won by a small margin last year?
Insane cope
@@No1LukasGrahamFan I personally never looked at Bundesliga as the farmer's league. I have always loved the Bundesliga and always thought it's the second best league in the world, first being the English Premier League.
@@kwazilucas Fair enough, but If City continue their Dominance, certain questions will be asked about the premier league just like they were asked about the Bundesliga. some people only look at the End results, and the results currently show complete dominance by Man City, which is bad for the reputation of being "competitive"
@@No1LukasGrahamFan people will always talk, in fact every league is criticized for something. When the English Premier League was not dominated by City, they still said it's not the best in the world. Some people will never change their minds.
Economics of football explain everything. The premier league has the most equal profit sharing structure allowing for teams at the bottom end of the table to afford significantly better players and managers than their counterparts in other leagues. Consequently, the premier league is more competitive because teams outside the top 6-8 on the table are significantly better than in other leagues. While the top teams in the La Liga, Serie A and Bundesliga are as good if not better than in the Prem, lower tier Premier league teams will finish much higher in other leagues.
The premier league is aware that this increased competition drives viewership and wants to deal with Manchester City because they are attempting to do what Real Madrid/Barcelona has done to the La Liga, which is to financially dominate it- leading to footballing domination. Unfortunately for the premier league Manchester City are an exceeding corrupt and powerful organization who are able to manipulate their way around the rules and beat their competition by fine margins. If the premier league allow this corruption to continue, it will lead to reduction in viewership and ultimately revenue for the league.
Man told us it was going to be a rant and here I am feeling like it's all very reasonable. Anyway the rest of the league can probably relax soon since (unless there's a big change of heart) Pep has decided to leave after the 24/25 season. City have a great squad but Pep is the difference between a good run of seasons and the centurions, the domestic clean sweep, the treble, and the 4peat.
