A bit of a longer video this time, giving you the basic outline of a Wiccan Altar, which will (hopefully) give you an idea on how to start and setup your own. It's quite a rough guide, with not nearly as much information on Altars as there is, yet I wanted to keep it somewhat short and "basic" (in a good way) :)

Please do your research! Looots of it. Start with meditating and seeking a diety so you can set up your altar. It all really depends on which path you go down (eclectic, green/witch, etc), so research that too. I know I’m a bit late but I hope you’re still practicing and all is growing well. Blessed be :)

I’ve never looked at anything dealing with alters. I’ve always collected these things randomly putting them in my house. My mom just gave me a bell that was my grandmothers:) I also got a little emotional about the offering, it’s good to remember those that have passed on. Thanks for the info.

I am very glad my parents never enter my room fully so I am able to have a big altar and have all my tools out and present in my room
I am spiritual. I love studying and learning different religions and decided if it’s for me or not and if I wanna take something from it and make it my own.
Best thing to be openly spiritual. Allows you to really alter your space using a multitude of tools.

Thank you for this very imformitive video, it taugh me a few things to keep in knowledge and mind. I feel that cyrstals should be a must in your altar but also know they are not needed, Because life is thought over matter. I don't need an altar but still have one that I change up as the energies in me stir me to. I feel crystals should be present due to their Sacred Geometry and relevance to electromagnetic connections between the earth, Devine energies, and ones self, including how they are related to emotions and chakra centres. But I do not have a certain set up of how my altar needs to be, I just go with the flow. If one day, you randomly get the idea to crumple a piece of paper and set it beside your candles without them catching fire, DO IT. It doesn't stop the flow of energy and electricity anyways. That paper could give you some deep insight in difderent ways based on just how the candles light refelcts off it to spark a thought. Remember nothing is an accident, everything has purpose, and everything was meant to happen as it does, as this is right now. I have come to realize this and it's such a beautiful connection to the Divine/Jehovah/etc then alone the Natural Life and energies found in nature. It feels good to be able to feel the emotions inside different beings and objects around me, I guess I should say I love having deep respect and love for everyone and everything around me which energizes me, this video was very inspiring and very influential into how I will use my daily practice and energize myself for continual better purposes.

This was a wonderfully made video and your peaceful nature is very calming/soothing. I can only imagine how good you must be at energy Work. I am a beginner, but I am around 30 years old so a lot older than many beginners. I was wondering if there is any books you recommend on how to start practicing, symbols, different power through colours and crystals, that type of thing/book. Anyone else with a book they think is helpful I would appreciate all advice

A book that I quite enjoy that is also inclusive of the things you mentioned would be ‘The Wicca Bible’ by Ann-Marie Gallagher, as a lot of other beginner books on Wicca are not necessarily inclusive if lightwork or energy work whereas this one has a bit more of that. Hi! This is gonna be a lengthy explanation but I was hoping you could help me! :)
I grew up christian, I believe in God and Jesus and Satan and the entire thing, I was never a devoted christian myself, I have always had my own skepticism about the story of Christ and the bible. But growing up as a child I have always had a part of me that was so fascinated with the world of 'magic' and supernatural and that grew into me learning about witchcraft, rituals, spells, faeries and Wicca from around age 7 to right now (16 y/o) and whenever I read or did research on it and felt compelled to try it out I always felt bad? Like I said I grew up in a Christian household so I felt like God was telling me not to, or this feeling I had was a warning, I felt like if I tried it i would be opening myself up to something I shouldn't be a part of but it's something that im sooo into! I have 18 crystals that I collected in hopes of regaining myself mentally and emotionally because I've been in a dark place for a long time and around toxic people, so I thought meditation, crystals, cleansing my space with sage and incense would help and honestly it has! But I'm torn between these two things. I'm also quite the scaredy cat, the dead, demons, ghosts, malevolent faeries, etc scare me so I'm also scared of exposing myself to such things if Wicca is something I wanna try out in the future. I have really strong paranoia and depression so that also ties into this fear thing I have about Wicca. What do you think? This may be a lot and I don't expect you to know exactly how to help me but I don't have many people or sources to explain my situation to :( thanks in advance xoxo
Rosie A. Its 100% normal to feel fear about practicing witchcraft when coming from a strict religion such as Christianity. As someone that comes from a VERY Christian family I know the guilty feeling well, you have to give yourself time to push away that fear that’s been planted in you most of your life and have faith in the powers of the earth and that it’ll protect you from harm, only then will you truly be able to move on. It's absolutely normal to feel confused and maybe some fear as well. It's definitely a very difficult question to answer, especially in just one comment (a proper conversation over some tea would probably lead to a much better answer, but I'll do my best regardless!)
So of course you may have some guilt, and fear of things such as negative energies. Now with Wicca in particular, there is no such thing as a Devil (it is a Christian concept) (with that being said, every Wiccan is different and some might believe in a Devil but generally speaking, Wicca doesn't have any forms of Devil etc). Everyone has fears, but with a practice such as Wicca, it is all about your intentions. So if your intentions come from a place of love and positivity, nothing negative can enter. You only open the doors to negative energies/lower vibrations if you call them. Of course there are protective things you can do, and carrying crystals is definitely one of them!
In the end of the day, you should be comfortable with your belief, and neither force yourself to be a Christian nor a Wiccan if you don't feel comfortable. If you are happier as a Christian, who also happens to use sage and crystals, then do that! I know a lot of Christians who use sage and crystals and even some who read tarot cards, so it is all up to you. And please remember not to let anyone else tell you what is good or bad. Don't let someone else scare you into something out of fear, you should believe in something because you love it, and because it brings you happiness ❤ But if you want to talk more about it, you can message me on my Instagram, I'm happy to talk more in depth and private about it if you have more questions 😊

Rosie A. I’m in the same scenario as you and my parents will never accept me for this nor for not being straight sexually so I’m kinda lost. Even the whole toxic relationships I relate too since I just came out of a Abusive relationship. But with Wicca and Witchcraft I feel more peace then with Christianity so this is where I’m torn just like you. I hope we both find the answers we need! Much love ❤️ my friend! Maybe we can be Christian witches if that’s possible lmao.

As i am younger then some that are interested i cant use candles because i am not trusted at all cause I'm known to be quite messy or just clumsy
i think you don’t really need to have candles to do spells, replace them with like flowers or crystals!

thank you so much i was so lost about this thank you you helped me so much, i just want to know how do i know my goddess and/or god, do i choose like "i like this goddess i will make her my goddess" or do i need to find it as a sign or something, the goddess needs to indicate she's my goddess for example. sorry if it's confusing
For me choosing my God was never a question I've always had a fascination and a connection with Ganesh as a child but finding a goddess was somewhat confusing I ended up just picking a goddess who had characteristics that I liked in a connection to Ganesh, I have been working with her for over a year and I've come to feel quite connected with her. If you haven't had any signs or connections with any gods or goddesses yet, I would just recomend picking a god and godess that you like, and try working with them if you don't feel a connection you can always go back and try and find another god and goddess to work with, I've spoken to wiccans who've been practicing for years even and had a strong connection with god and goddess, but eventually felt like working with a new one instead, so it's not a big deal if you start working what's God's who aren't right for you. Of course! It’s absolutely up to you, the two candles are really just the basis and you can expand on it and make it your own - take most of my information in my videos as a suggestion or inspiration that you can use to create your own craft ❤️

Oh I think you might be talking about a humidifier? Incense is smoke, so usually in the form of incense sticks, or raw such as incense bundles (or sage/palo santo, etc)
Its a bit different to essential oil lamps too, as those are more for smell

You could for sure, especially if you consecrate it :)

How would you get rid of offerings??
It depends on what it is, but you could either place it outside in your garden or forest if it is for example fruit or very natural foods. Make sure not to dispose of any alcoholic beverages this way. A lot of times people dispose of the offerings by just throwing it into the bin. I also know some people (myself included) that will leave the offerings out for a day and then at the end of the day eat it themselves as to not waste food. Of course this depends again on what it is you are offering

hi i know this video is pretty old but i was wondering if the pentacle had to be a five pointed star or if it could be another symbol?
The pentacle is indeed a five pointed star, but Wicca has many different symbols, you can have a look at The Triple Goddess for example
So this is a pretty late reaction, but I heard that you need to place the elements on north, east, south, west. But the only safe place that I have is too small to place things on 4 Sides. I can put things next to each other tho... Is that a problem?
That is fine! These ‘rules’ are more so guidelines but if you can’t make it work exactly as the guidelines, it is not a problem. I also just have the elements present on my altar, but not necessarily in the correct order or in the correct directions

what if I don't want to work with any energies yet
Witchcraft (and Wicca) is based on energy work in one way or another. Perhaps you mean spirit entities (such as Deities, Ancestors, the spirits around you)? In that case you don’t have to work with any if you don’t feel comfortable about it. There definitely also is a difference between ‘energies’ and ‘spirits’ so I would suggest you to research these a bit more to better understand them, that would be a lot easier for you than it would be for me to try and explain it all in one comment 😅 I hope that helped

I do have a question which just occurred to me, if you want to put a bowl of water and salt onto your altar would you have to keep refilling them? Since over time Water evaporates and salt would clean out any negative feelings on your altar so would that mean you'd have to keep replacing them from time to time?

I have my own Crystal shop business so I get most of my crystals wholesale when I stock up my shop :)
is there another way to represent air?
The best way to represent air is what you personally associate with it. Maybe it’s a little airplane figure, or feathers that you found, or a butterfly wing etc. It is more so about the symbolic association which helps you connect to the element

Usually you don’t buy an entire Altar, you make one yourself - the tools could of course be bought on Ebay, that is entirely up to you. I recommend Ebay, Etsy, and you can also check local thrift stores or garage sales
