Loved this conversation. Love when Kay mentioned her new found admiration for women. I love that she's aware that she's a gift. that as women, we're gifts. If you look at scripture, when God decided to create Eve, his intention was to gift Adam for the great job he had done; and for completing his task in the garden. Eve was a gift, a reward. When scripture mentions how a man ought to treat his wife, it continues to emphasise this. as women we upgrade, elevate and reward anyone in our vicinity- the challenge for us, is grasping the depth of that, understanding how valuable and powerful that is, then removing ourselves from people (men especially) who haven't earned us as their reward, men who cannot perceive the blessing bestowed upon their lives by our presence and men who do not have favourable environments that can hold delicate gifts such as ourselves. It does help to talk . Thanks for those words . I remember a good friend of mine I used to have also told me she thought I didn’t check up enough on her after a break up she had . She said this a few months later and I felt like bringing it up to her would hurt her and rather wanted her to bring it up whenever she felt like she needed to talk . To be fair that’s how I prefer people to deal with me . people are different and we just need to talk to our people/friends.
