      Appreciate Video clip! Forgive me for butting in, I would appreciate your opinion. Have you thought about - Zetanniay Visionary Preset (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now)? It is a smashing one of a kind product for creating stunning photos in minutes minus the normal expense. Ive heard some awesome things about it and my close friend Aubrey got amazing success with it.

    As a photo 101 instructor I know that everyone learns a different way and at a different pace. I've just emailed all my students to begin viewing these. Mark Wallace is understandable, the script doesn't go in circles and, uses an accessible vocabulary.

      then you should know that the iso story with digital photography is worthless. (Digital) cameras do not have iso. Film does!

      @@ridderus ISO is the international standards organization it's a name the same thing as was ASA. It's a meaning of sensitivity onto film or sensor equals the same thing. Hi ISO film results in hi grain no different to high noise. Basically kept to avoid confusion.

      @@ridderus The organisation is actually IOS. The word Iso comes from the ancient Greek 'isos', which means 'the same'. The goal was that for instance Iso 100 is the same for Canon as it is for Nikon

    Thank you, Mr. Wallace! I just received my first "real" camera and I appreciate the way you have explained the basics and also all of your visuals, which are especially helpful to me in giving me an overall picture of each light-related setting. All of this is new to me since my prior "point and shoot" did so much for me I had never explored those settings on it. Now, I am just trying to figure out how to use my Canon Rebel T6 and I think I have an idea of what these 3 settings mean. I am looking forward to viewing more. I hope all of your videos are explained in the same way. Thank you so much!

    Thank you so much for your precise explanation. I was struggling to play with exposure triangle. Sometimes pictures come as I have expected and feel happy about that but other time it does not work as I expected it to. I am bit more clearer after watching this video.

    This is a huge help! I've always used Auto, the lazy way, as I could never keep f-stops and aperture and shutter straight, only the ISO! LOL Thank you very much for actually showing the difference, really stuck in my head! I love the simpler way of breaking it down!

    When you mentioned gain, it totally clicked for me! I'm used to adjusting gain on my radar at work all the time (ship navigation) Thanks for the great explanation on the triangle! Just bought my first dslr (Nikon d3400) and I'm stoked to get clicking.

    You are amazing in explaining the functions of each the Shutter Speed, the ISO and the Apertur and that there is the Exposure Triangle which most know nothing about what a fantastic informative approach to this. THANK YOU! these explanations are so much easier to keep the information in your head as they can be very confusing.     I was once deeply into photography and as with anything I do including my career I concentrate on the technical side of things. I had a thorough understanding of exposure and never saw this until now. It may have helped me at one time, I don't know. But I'm glad to see that its here for those who might have a little difficulty with it. As a long time film user, I can see where the concepts have become a little more abstract in the digital world.

    there are many photo videos on the internet, watched many, however, some tend to get too involved with stuff. the ones that give the best advice always try to keep it all simple. I am glad to say, this is one of the best. the science of photography is all about how individuals practice it all. not about which equipment is the best. just a personal opinion.

    You can use a diagram of this type to illustrate/indicate the theoretical exposure setting.
    To do this, you draw a line from each corner to the opposite side indicating the specific values, i.e. aperture, iso and time ​​(the angle for shutter from the top right to the left side of the triangle, this for aperture is that from the top left to the right side of the triangle and this for iso that from bottom corner to top side). The intersection of these three lines gives you a theoretical exposure setting. And when you change a parameter (aperture, iso, time) you redraw the line to another specific value on the respective side. This also changes the location of the intersection of the lines (=theoretical exposure setting). So when you change one of three parameters, at least one of the other two parameters also changes.
    If you want to apply this to the above diagram then sequence the values ​​of one of the parameters must be inverted otherwise this diagram cannot be used to indicate/illustrate the theoretical exposure setting. Many thanks for the video!!!
