I can't take Norton seriously with his mam's sunglasses on 😂 finally Sunday has arrived with the boys.
I see what you're saying but I would laugh more if he was wearing pit vipers 😂
He's got his mum's knickers on too. Soiled ones.
Norton giggling in the background is the best thing ever.
as much as i love the over night camping, when i saw this pop up i was so happy., talking nonsensical ballocks whilst exploring an abandoned place was what made me fall in love with your channel. really enjoyed this.
Welcome to the club
Yeah , but you mean BOLLOCKS
I find nortons building quotations interesting
yeah man. thats the random kind of stuff i think about lol
I’m planning a conservatory and Norton is obviously the best grafter out the 3 on ya, so tell him there’ll be a good drink in it fer im. You 2 would be spare pricks on site
Wonky eyes😂😂
@@doncornholio7996 I like the cut of your jib, old man
My daughter’s great aunt was put in Lennox Castle age 15 because she ran away as a teen and misbehaved. Probably the result of her mum passing. She was released when she was in her forties. Margaret was not mentally ill or had deficits when she was institutionalised but she did on release. I wonder if that is the teen you were talking about. My daughter’s gran and family visited her regularly. She was very much loved.
That's horrendous. Trouble is there were so many women it happened too for simply being rebellious. Baby out of wedlock and the woman got locked up, the man left free to continue on with his life without consequence. Even in the 80s single mums got all the abuse especially in the newspapers. Such a different world now.
I firmly believe you guys are basically CZcams’s version of the Wyld Stallyns from Bill and Ted. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but someday you will be legendary. Until then, be excellent to each other.
Bill Ted and camera guy lol
My gran used to work in here, she used to tell me stories that her and 4 other nurses used to watch over 60 patients, when my gran eventually left she took a patient with her and brought her home, my dear friend of the family my auntie Francis she lived with us for 20+ years before passing away in 2015
I spoke to my grandmother and she was telling me that my auntie Francis was brought into the hospital at 17 and she eventually left at 77
She then eventually passed away 2015 age 93
What a wonderfully loving lady your gran was, to take that lady home with her and let her live with your family for 20 years. Lovely lady Yr gran was for doing that bless her hart and soul. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻✌🏻♥️♥️✌🏻👍🏻
That’s amazing of your grandmother ❤ did she ever say why she was in there?
You guys have not run out of ideas. I was feeling a little low but now you three have cheered me up. Keep up with the great work 👍
Norton wearing his mom's sunglasses is brilliant
I’m a hell on earth fan from Lennoxtown! I remember exploring the castle about 20 years ago and you could enter every room from the ground all the way to the flag pole. Shame its in that state now. Some interesting videos on youtube you have prob seen about history of the site when it was an institution. The place was huge. Good vid lads!
Lloydy: “Al, vape and blow it into the hole!”
50 quid says that’s not the first time Lloydy has said that 😂
Thanks for the image in my head.
Is there a wat to unsee that mental image you gave me!!!
😂
I really enjoyed this History Hit documentary. Those professors with their authorative and informed arguments make for a riveting and absorbing discussion of some of the Middle Ages most obscure periods. Whilst I am unsure what "bell end" means and why Professor Al always needs a proper haircut, their dramatic telling of Scotlands darkest epoch remains a true master class in documentary TV.
Norton’s building references are amazing, considering he always looks like he’s just stepped off a building site.
Al looks like Jesus, if Jesus had to sign the register 3 times a week.
And Lloydy looks like the child no mother would admit to giving birth to.
😂
I'm a fan of Norton's building quotes tbf
Brits are snatching up buildings like this in Fance . They are keeping the exterior and rebuilding the interior . Some are doing an amazing job by saving these amzing buildings
I agree doing an amazing job as well
No one wants to live in Scotland though so this will never happen here.
@@pure_awareness why does no one want to live in Scotland? It has breathtaking veiws and the poeple are nice. Great for fishing too

Scotland's darkest secret is next-door lads.
Every halloween night theres folk up there dressed as murdered nurses wondering about scarying people who go for a look
Sounds very safe.
Tbf that sounds a right laugh
You lot have me in stitches! Thank you brightens my day!

What a fun one guys !!!! Huge hugs to dear sweet Al.....I love ya buddy 😘
Another fantastic vid lads, drone footage is outstanding and beautiful. Nortons laugh as always makes me howl.
Very interesting place I'd love to explore xx
You guys make me laugh 😂
I really need that at the moment as I'm going through some health stuff.....
Good friends are truly hard to find nowadays so hang on to them if they bring you joy & continue doing what you are doing 👍
Subscribed..... & much love from Australia 🇦🇺 🙏
The corporation was the council (it’s now called Glasgow city council).
When I was a kid people still called council houses corporation/ corpy houses. And the buses were called corpy buses before it became privatised.
I actually forgot about that until I heard you mention it.
Hey Norton, I happen to like when you talk about the place you guys go to. The castlesand mansions are beautiful. I wish you guys could slow a little bit, tell a bit more about where you are. You three are so entertaining❤❤❤.
You guys should visit the MacDuff castle near Kircaldy.. there are caves along the sea line to explore and some castle ruins next to an old graveyard.. perfect for you lot
I love the Scottish videos, I live in Glasgow and you guys know more about my country's history than most people I know 😂
Enjoying the vid!!! Not the black spec on the left...
With the beard and now the sun glasses, Norton looks like his Mum! Wow lol
while you're up in scotland, you could go to Poltalloch House over in argyll near Kilmartin
super cool old building thank you for sharing it!
Finally it's the weekend 😊
Brilliant video lads always great to see a new video from you lads bloody brilliant
you guys always make me happy!
Always a great watch!!! love you 3 guys so much fun ...
Thanks for posting, nice 👍🏼
Thanks for sharing this guys, sad to see what used to be a majestic building at one time just rotting away. The architecture of what's left is really awesome. Too bad these places can't be refurbished to a tourist attraction or a hotel. Too bad there wasn't more of it left to explore. Take care guys, looking forward to your next video.
Fantasticly funny and informative video guys. You make our Sundays now ❤
Are you re-stocking any of your sold out merch boys? Another great video thanks for making me smile 😊
Great video guys, never imagined yous would come here. We used to play there as kids, im from this area 😅
Another Great Explore With The Wild Guys Always A Pleasure To See 3 Amigos Go Travelling. Love The Castle Epic Building Thanks For The History, Was Amazing, Love The Glasses
As a scottish person that lives in a "village" is basically a town but doesnt have all the requirements to be one.
In summer i can hear cows screaming for no bloody reason while im trying to sleep at 2 am. And theres ruins from the 1800s tumbled down massive houses. Why do the fireplaces always stay intact and nothing else? When i was a moody teen i use to sit on a old farmers tumbled down fireplace. Looked like a stone arch way but must have been such a wee cosy farm house back when built. I use to love climbing over fences into feilds and finding streams, river and abandoned places. Thats why i love you guys so much.
You’re late, we’ve been ready since 7 a.m. 😂
Tell me about it 💯😜
@@northpeckhamestateoldschoo2947 I’ve been waiting since Tuesday
Al looked like Kenny Everett with those sunglasses, not Jimmy Savile
Great video again thanks ❤❤😊
What a phenomenal place! Killing myself laughing about the group drinking at the top of the tower caught on the drone 😂😂😂
I saw Lloydy in an M&S Food last week, channel must be doing well...
I bet he forgot to put on his Barnsley accent and was talking all southern too !!!!!😂😂😂
@@gs425 Nah funnily enough it was an M&S Food in Barnsley so we can let him off 😂
As soon as I seen the notification pop up I sniper clicked it so hard I sprained my pinky finger, another great video.
Great video as per lads.
My da and my aunties used to work in lenox castle as cleaners, Used to find needles in clothing etc.
At last some thing decent to watch
Love the droning in part on the other group.. Keep droning on in!!
watching this video like the castle isnt a 40 minute walk away from my house
Awesome episode guys loved it ❤️ 😅
Need to get on some more day missions. Lived in Scotland for a few years when I was younger. So lush, and apparently great exploring spots. 💚
Norton looks like a 50's diva with them glasses lol. Love it 😅😅😂😂
I was thinking along the lines of Deirdre Rachid.😂
Built between 1837 and 1841, it's little wonder it's in ruins if it only took four minutes to erect, i'll get my coat.
Glad you switched to Sundays! 🙂
15:41 Very Profound, John Norton! I'm impressed! It's always great to see other _(i!)Regular_ Folk seeing the same thing!
IE Humanity's return to the Stone Age!! The Further Back you go, the Bigger the scale of construction gets, as well as Accuracy!
Just look at even Older builds like the Pyramids in Egypt, to Sacsayhuaman in Peru to see Accuracy and sheer Scale go through the roof! I'm more than impressed with your Educational _Prowess!_
I remember visiting this place with my mate Jimmy in the late 90s (I think about then)
It was about when the area was about to be developed.
You could drive up to it nearly. You could still see the white tiles on the surgical areas and the occasional gurney and various other bits of furniture lying around the outside. We didn't know anything about the history at the time (pre Internet), but the place had a real spoopy vibe to it.
Mostly because it was dusk, but mostly because of the creepy security guard following us about.
Was it jimmy Savile?
@@ronkingston2833 no 🤣
That was the security guard
@@ronkingston2833 it's probably the sort of place he'd hang about in back in the day
Norton is literally like me XD loves climbing up but shit myself on the way down XD
I love Norton talking about the structure
Its a David Hamilton building, he also designed Hutcheson's hall, the Nelson Monument in Glasgow Green and the Goma.
I’ve been here with a few friends before , and it was the most horrible/eerie place I’ve ever been too! It got dark so fast when we went there & seen so many shadows , heard horrible noises I’ve never walked away from somewhere so fast! Couldn’t pay me to go back 😮
@hellonearth
You didn't mention the bodies buried out near the seating area (lowkey memorial)
as they buried patients without writing them off or telling the families but wasn't known until it was shut
Norton on the rope swing:
"The Hunchback of Norton Dumb"
Al is my favourite.
This is where I’m from my gran used to work here . She had some crazy stories about the dangerous patients she had to deal with working here .
Whoever said holiday companies should name them selves going down was absolutely brilliant 😂😂😂😂😂 funniest thing ive heard since my ex girlfriend said she was leaving me.. excellent video lads Keep em coming ❤
I worked with Nurses who trained and worked here,it was hell on earth for the patients 😢 I worked in a place called Bellsdyke Hospital in Larbert Falkirk...it was an adult mental health hospital, most of its gone now...brilliant place tl work anc learn ...thanks for showing Scotlands shame...it was terrible there ❤🏴
When they found the face and said it was Al and said "its Even Got Your Wonky Eyes" lol I just broke with laughter , and this is why this is one of my favourite channels. Too funny, you guys are naturally funny, never change that 👍
💥WTF was going on up in the Turret! 💥ALs looky likey was hilarious! 💥Nortons eats Yogurt made from Man Juice💥 Lloydies Laff is hysterical!
Awesome as always guys! 😂🤘🏻
Funny that...that star trek hand sign you did at the start...is also freemasonic lol.😅🤭 " they used to shove them in , and drug them up". These places are still exactly the same.
What a great episode, pissed myself laughing all the way through it 😂
I hope to explore this place someday I like going to haunted locations and connecting with the spirits
I'm from Barnsley there made out of clay not wood lol love ever video's of you guys
LOVE the URBEX stuff! Also, trying to figure out who looks better in Norton's Mum's sunglasses? Hmmm. Thanks guys, this was worth waiting for.
I really like that orange/blue body warmer, where is it from please xxxx
What a legendary spot❤️
Good video 👍👍👍
Stayed here as a student . Horrible creepy place , no locks on the doors yet you could hear people shuffling about in the corridors and listening at the doors ! Was terrified to go to the bathroom at night . One of our group had a breakdown because of it . I once went down to the enormous kitchens after dark . When I put on the light , every surface was alive with cockroaches! Nearly 50 years on and I still shudder to think of it !
You guys are certainly brave. I wouldn't have trusted those stairs!
It's astonishing that it only took four years to build something like that!?
A beautiful concoction of events
Absol, utely stunning building, imagine how class that would be where it not filled with "loonies".
Someone needs to get this place back in business.
There's sites like this all over Scotland, most of them knocked down(for good reason) but I can tell you for a fact that what used to go on inside them was absolutely ghoulish and inhuman. The stories you can still hear in Scotland from like 3rd hand historical accounts just leaves no words to be said. The understanding of mental issues back in the day was lacking to say the least and they actually buried people and sometimes children close by to these absolute shitholes, a lot of people didn't leave these asylums except in a body bag.
Love the dot on the top left of camera lol
Dunmore house in Stirling is good as well as bandeath munitions depot
I kept expecting the rope on that swing to snap.
We still got the skills to build a building like that . The cost is the problem. It would be 10 gazillion pounds
Sunday is now "Funday"! 👍
15:15 Yeah I remember playing o.d.t as a kid, but I don't think I got that far in it.. I remember it being really confusing lol..
Seeing the Get Naked graffiti in the same shot as Nortons butt crack was brilliant filming on Lloyde's part. Way to use the environment to flatter the crack. Award winning cinematography.
Can’t wait to watch Al’s freak climbing documentary!😂
Sunday uploads ❤🎉
the nurse houses were separate from the hospital! in a place now called ovaltown just below the castle on the campsie side. this hospital used to house the most dangerous people!
Top Job Chaps 🤘
Great video as always guys, I must admit Norton has a point about the steps were they made to measur/order, also what size were the people that built it, look at the size of each brick, then there was that window, I believe giants built these beautiful buildings, I mean check the size of the weight used for the lift. @15.39 we can't because giants did the building. ❤❤❤
It looks like a very interesting place to visit.
