I got lucky enough from my local dealer here and scored the panda dial as well. I LOVE IT!!! I have a new love affair with it, and I havent been this enthused about a watch since i got my Blue Squale 1521. Great Job Seiko! Screw the haters! Every watch has it defects, but thats what makes it special! For 500$ this watch is a steal!
Very informative video. Well done with lots of macro shots and being able to see the different dial colors. After seeing this video I went to check them out. Must say the yellow colored dial was unique. Happy to say my wife picked the white dial version for me for Christmas. Only been a couple of days but so far loving it. It fits nicely on my 7.25” wrist. The bracelet is so much more comfortable than I expected. I removed 1 link. A little concerned I may be in between sizes when warmer weather comes but so far it’s better than expected. I own several much higher priced timepieces and this is right there with them in terms of comfort. I did see that Uncle Seiko has a clasp that gives you an extra micro adjustment, so good to know that’s an option. I enjoy handling my watches and setting the date and time on my automatics. That said, there’s something nice about picking up this solar powered watch and just putting it on. I have no experience with solar and no clue how long a life it will have. Hopefully a long time. Good job my friend. Happy New Year and look forward to more content in the future.
Everyone has gone crazy for the white dial - and it is nice - but I had a look at the gold dial last week and it's the one. Just transforms the watch into something warmer, more stylish. It's really more of a camel than a gold, and it gives it a much more sophisticated, chic sort of look. Takes the watch from the 60s to the 70s. Agreed on the blue dial: much nicer in real life than any of the pictures. These feel quality in the hand and I'm not surprised by all the buzz. I reckon these will be hard to come by soon enough - especially the panda everyone wants.
@@paolom7240 I disagree. Besides the color layout, everything is different. From case size and shape to the hands to numbering on the bezel to the pushers to the bracelet Just because something has three subdials doesn't make it a Daytona homage
I already ordered and waiting to arrive my gold edition…. I have never seen on person, just pictures and videos . But definitely I’ll put a Nato Strap. I think is the best to improve the look.

Personally, I would prefer a 2 sub-dial Panda (ditch the 24-hour sub-dial). The date window is not equally positioned between the 4 and 5 o'clock indices, which bothers me. But I do really like the overall design.
Prefer it on the bracelet. Citizen is much better at disguising solar panels. Although, in this case, I like the look of the solar panel sub dials. I think it needs more lume. Overall, I like these. But will they last forever like eco-drives and tough solars?
It’s quite nice but I’m not into it really, although I must admit I’ve done lots of hiking in Ginza myself that led to errr spelunking of a certain kind. Nevermind

It is a very nice piece, I picked one up today and have to say I like it and cannot see any faults.

I think one of those is a Japan/International release model reference. I forgot whether if it's SSC or SBDL is the JDM reference.
