Okay, I don’t think that Rayla leaving was where the writers got it wrong, tho it hurts the Rayllum fanatic in me. Rather, the handling of the situation happened, particularly with Callums story. WHY DID HE JUST FEEL SORRY FOR HIMSELF!?! That’s not Callum, he works to make things change if he doesn’t like the situation he’s in! Have him move on, maybe he finds another human primal mage and, while tutoring them, they both develop feelings! Cue potentially natural, not contrived relationship drama as Rayla thinks she can pick things up the way she left them. I can write half a dozen fanfics JUST from this plot point alone, and all of them would feel more natural. And I think if the rest of the story wasn’t so bad, I think the fandom may have been a little more forgiving on the Rayllum front.
Can confirm as well. Don’t mind me, I’m about to kill a character’s slow burn crush and his sister so they could save the gods and have that character go into their vigilante arc. And during that arc, that love interest is brought back to life and manipulated by some other villain to try and murder that character
Don't mind me I'm just gonna have one character fall for the other but never confess, but on the other characters death bed they say a few small words "I love you, I always have" Now the first character realizes all too late that they actually had a chance and are now doomed to live with that information from now on
I just finished watching it about 2 minutes ago, clicked onto CZcams and this was the first video in my feed. The universe knows I’m distraught and wants to add to my pain.
The character was made from the style of horror found in twilight zone or tales from the crypt where ironic consequences to a person's actions are the hook. That's why Ben parker was killed by the criminal peter parker didn't try and stop. So it always makes me wonder why so many Spider-Man fans get upset when his actions have ironic consequences or things don't work out for him. People were pissed when gwen stacy died because was unfairly to Peter but that's also one of the greatest moments in comics. Either way any character that appears in thousands of comics over 60 years is going to have moments, and also long streaks, of bad writing. People will get over it eventually and 30 years from now they will be bringing back Paul the same way they brought back Ben Riley after people stopped being upset about the clone saga.

I mean, we writers live off of their audiences emotions. When you feel something so deeply after partaking in a story, we, with our dark magic connections, feast on that from a distance
I'm also a writer but this is just stupid, because the "will they won't they" gets frustrating and stale after so long.

@@SkiggsMoDiggs as someone trying to write fanfics you really really have to justify it. Like for example : Dante’s inferno level of supernatural means in which a dark god or something don’t want you two to be together because the entity already had done that to your relationship in a past life.
