For anyone wondering what guitar John is using; it is the legendary Rick Turner Model 1 guitar customly made and produced exclusively for legendary guitarist Lindsey Buckingham of Fleetwood Mac in 1979. Lindsey Buckingham has used this guitar for about 32 years and stated it is one of the best instruments he ever played ! Before 1979, Lindsey used a Custom Gibson Les Paul and Fender Stratocaster and Telecaster.
i love the meaning of this song. and i love how john knows how to evoke such feelings out of people with his brilliantly chosen lyrics
His music ALWAYS manages to give me goosebumps... awesome.
It upsets me that he's such a funny guy and it seems to go over the audience's head all the time. His intro was funny and nobody was laughing.

I absolutely LOVE my Eric Clapton Stratocaster, but that Turner looks so comfortable. I'd like to get my hands one just to see how it feels. We already know how it sounds.

Its a Rick Turner Guitar, the same guitar that Lindsay Buckingham uses from Fleetwood Mac, John also throws in a cover of "Dreams" in this song often when he plays it
The model 1 sounds great in this tune. We have almost an exact match of this guitar at Heartbreaker Guitars

@Neil4Speed I got to watch Lindsay play from about six feet away at Fleetwood Mac's Rumours tour back in 76 or so, had no idea he was a 'Frail'er, but it does make a note sting. I have also communicated with Rick Turner about the guitars he's making for Henman these days...(I design electrics as well). He's so knowledgeable it's scary.

@kerranz Your memory serves you correct! I have the same guitar, wonderful instrument! John Mayer is truly talented great tune. I bought the guitar more based on Lindsey Buckingham who's style is really unqiue!
