The 80V HP technology delivers 35% more power for gas performance, making this new 30" Lawn Mower more powerful than a 223cc gas mower. As part of the WHISPER SERIES, RYOBI's quietest lineup of products, this mower is 70% quieter than a gas mower.

I would like to try one of these out.
Keep it up, Ryobi.
I just saw one of these for the first time at Home Depot with a price tag above $1800.00. With the cost of a second battery running around $800.00, I could purchase four new Honda 21-inch (HRN 216) gas lawnmowers @ $549.00 each and still come out cheaper than this product. The Ryobi price point alone is a non-starter, much less replacement costs for extra batteries and the eventual replacement of the entire unit.
Last spring, got a 40v cross cut whisper series and have had nothing but battery problems. The batteries constantly overheat and damage the cells. The mower is great, but the 40v system is not. Already had to have both batteries warranty replaced. I'm dreading this season
$2k is a bit steep for a push mower. At $1200 it'd be a lot more tempting
2k for a push mower? bwahahahhhhahahaaa 😂 I'll definitely pass on this as well
You’re right, That would be a much more attractive price point. Twin motors, the 80 volt battery, and the quick charger are all cool, but at 2k you’re over half way to a rider. I need to find a coupon, a sale, AND an employee friend.😂
The direct gas competition is $1600. Toro time master. However I have to say the real price gouging is the battery. $900. If we assume they use a higher end Samsung cell the unit cost on those is about 4.50 a cell in bulk, probably even less for a massive company like TTI, and it looks like there’s 100 cells in those batteries, so likely at most the cells are $450. Being generous with another $200 to build the thing (which I doubt tremendously) and there’s still $250 of pure profit margin.
My 40V mower works good just wish y’all would bring back a metal deck mower option for us old school folks!
I’m sorry. $2k for a push mower! Hard pass. I’ll stick with my 40v system.
Ah yes, after years of building up your 40v platform, just leave all your 40v users in the dust with some 80v battery no one will buy. I'm going ego so my tractor batteries and string trimmer batteries are the same
At the very least they could have made it work with two 40volt batteries too 😢
Sell just the mower for folks with the 80v zero turns that have tight spots too big for string trimmers
Way overpriced, Ryobi. I'll keep my Toro for now.
