80 Year Old Karen Attacks Service Dog 😳 My Favorite Karen

  • In this latest video, I'm excited to share with you an encounter with my favorite Karen-a term often used to describe someone who is being unnecessarily difficult or demanding. Despite the generally negative connotation associated with the name, I found this particular Karen to be quite humorous. The story unfolds with an 80-year-old woman at a grocery store, who spots a man accompanied by a dog.
    Curious and perhaps a bit confrontational, she approaches the man to inquire why the dog is allowed inside. He explains that it's a service dog, but when she presses for proof, he informs her that he isn't required to provide any. The situation escalates when the dog jumps on her, leading to her kicking the animal, an action that results in her arrest.
    Throughout her interaction with the police, this feisty octogenarian doesn't hold back, delivering sarcasm and smart remarks in spades. In the end, it's her sharp tongue that lands her in hot water. Join me as we dive into this unusual tale that shows even a 'Karen' can make us laugh, albeit through a rather unconventional series of events.

      Wait, are you comparing living with a disability to forced late term abortion? Those things are not equivalent. And most forced abortions are usually done in some random dude's basement with an old fashioned coat hanger. Just tossin' the fetus in the trash, right into the dumpster behind dunkin donuts. So, I don't think you have any standing comparing these two things. It's just wrong.

      If people didn't flagrantly abuse the system for their own selfishness then there'd be no issue. Legitimate service dogs are not the same as "emotional support animals". Businesses are not required to allow ESAs.

      @@AmbientShades You have a point. I spend a lot of time in a medical marijuana dispensary and I see the difference quite frequently, service dogs are highly trained animals and serve a pretty specific purpose (on top of emo support). Emo support dogs are just pets, not trained at all. It's an excuse that emotionally immature people use to justify bringing their pets out in public for attention. There is a difference between people who just use emo support animals vs service support animals... the emo support crowd are just immature people who failed to learn how to cope with reality... the other people are genuinely disabled somehow outside of their own minds. One is far, far, far, easier to deal with as a customer than the other.

    Did they pull the video? If the dog jumped on her then it wasn't a real service dog. If the dog didn't jump on her, then she had no right to kick the dog. There needs to be a law where real service dogs need to be registered and carry a license. I've seen so many fake service dogs barking and growling and no real service dog would do that.

    • @RiskyBehaviorENT
      @RiskyBehaviorENT  Před 4 měsíci +1

      I don’t think they bothered with the video. Cop listened to the people in the store and really didn’t care about what she had to say. But people in the comments are saying that it is against the law to ask about someone’s service animal. So maybe since she was breaking the law he considers her the agitator and therefore in the wrong.

      @RiskyBehaviorENT we'll most likely never know. I just really dislike people pretending their pet is a service dog. I have a dog I love with all of my heart. He would love to go places with me, but I will never pretend he's a service dog and take him places dogs are not allowed unless they're service animals. I take him to Petco and Lowes and HomeDepot because they allow pets, but other than that, he stays home.

      To be honest, I am confused, 🤣 she said she kicked someone in the butt. I assume she couldn’t reach the man and since the dog is short, most people assume she’s talking about the dog because before that she said the dog jumped on her. It could’ve been a friendly jump and she panicked.

    The ADA law allows the ESTABLISHMENT to ask the handler of the service dog two questions, is that a service dog, and what service does it provide (I.e. alert, medication, balance, etc). Some random Karen doesn’t have any right to bother them. All service animals are supposed to have some visible identification on them. Service animals can be asked to leave an establishment if they are aggressive, misbehave or soil inside the business, but the business needs to offer then make accommodations to assist the disabled person with completing their task while they wait outside.

    Let me first say that I am 60 so obviously from an older generation, there used to be a law concerning animals in open consumables establishment, but with the rise of the need for service animals the laws changed. What do I think the right thing would be? as in the days of old, if you were blind or deaf there is an obvious reason, but to have one because of anxiety, ptsd, etc. although valid with todays technology online ordering is an option.
