      I recommend to visit Pisa on The 16 of June for the patron Saint Ranieri 's luminaria . There Is a magical and an Amazing atmosphere and It Always ends with fireworks. Or at the end of June you can see the historical comemoration of the Battle on the bridge (gioco del ponte in italian)and its parade in sixteenth century costumes. Unfortunately this year because of covid Emergency neither took place.

    Hey Max. It’s so nice to see someone do a video of the place I once called home while working in Italy.
    My first suggestion, I see you took the train from Firenze. From the station, there is so much to see walking if you are going straight to the tower. It’s about a 20 min walk. There are so many local places that are fun to enjoy. Pizzeria da Filippo is the first place missed as it it right outside the train station. The next stop is the piazza Vittorio Emanuele II. It’s where the locals hang out and we used it as a meet up spot whenever we would go out as a group. As you walk through the shopping district there are two grocery stores to pick up supplies. Conad and the Pam. Then on to the beautiful narrow streets of the city. There are more authentic shops along the way and then you hit the Arno. If you are in to night life this crossing is where it’s at. If you want to hit a club at night, Bazeel is where it’s at! If you are out during the day, walk the Arno. You can’t get lost and it is beautiful as you have shown. If you like live music, Arno Vivo is the place and has affordable drink prices for everyone. There is a little place along the Arno that has wonderful jazz music and even if you are not a fan, you will enjoy the jazz vibes. Chupitos has a wide variety of shots if you like and I can name 100 other places all in walking distance. Oh yeah, if you want some Chinese buffet, the way you came in on the video, there is a great place we used to go to for some really good Chinese food.
    I hope this helps your channel and I’ve always been down to help those that came to visit my second home! Cheers and thank you for even showing me places I didn’t know! All the best.
    If you get a chance next time you visit, walk. I recommend that for anywhere in Italy. You miss so much on the bus.

    Hello! Great video, however I suggest you to come and take a walk also in viale delle piagge, it's a long tree-lined venue that goes alongside the river... There you can also see another campanile, wich is in fact more leaning than the one in piazza dei miracoli, San Michele Degli Scalzi!
    You can also take a walk on the lungarno and see another peculiar church, Chiesa Della Spina, which was originally built on the sides of the river Arno, but was rebuilt when the parapets where made, it's really suggestive :)

    I never realized how *leaning* the tower really is!

    • @29outlaw
      @29outlaw Před rokem

      The tower was closed in 1990 when the angle of lean reached 5.5 degrees. All the engineering computer models said the tower would collapse when the angle of lean reached 5.4 degrees. Engineering efforts began to restore the tower and to reduce the lean. The tower reopened in 2001, and today the lean is only 4 degrees. The tower will be stable for 300 more years. The methods used to straighten the tower were so effective, that engineers could have brought the tower back to full vertical if they had chosen to, but they left it with a lean on purpose. I guess they knew nobody would visit the "Straight Tower of Pisa".
