Quick Guide: How To Connect Wireless BROTHER PRINTER to Wi-Fi Network (Model: HL-L2390DW)

The links in the instructions on who to contact for technical support are more than useless. Their tech support team charge a fee of $99.99 to connect the printer to your wireless network. DON'T FALL VICTIM TO THESE SCAMS! After spending hundreds of dollars to purchase your printer, who in their right mind would want to spend another hundred dollars...

Have you downloaded the application to your phone and/or selected the "brother" printer within the application on your PC.
There is an app for the phone called "MOPRIA PRINT". This you can download in the app store and use to print wirelessly from your devices. If it is on your PC I believe it is the same application.
You can also manually select the printer within the print screen from which ever application you are choosing to print from on your PC.
When printing from the extention of the app instead of the default print screen, it bypasses the wake mode and prints right away.

I bought this used yesterday and it took forever to input my SSID password for my home network as it is VERY long and using those up down menus one character at at time was brutal. I messed up a couple of times and found out there is an easier way - run the software/drivers installation that can be downloaded from the product support page. Then click the wifi button for it to flash...inside the software it will detect the WIFI network that the laptop (presumably) is on and as a result, all one has to do is confirm that the printer is going on the same WIFI network. Once I did that, the rest of the adding the printer to the network was automatic. I did not have to enter my WIFI password at all.
Once that was done I got the software installed and then did the firmware updates as well as the software updates. Printer is working like a champ!

Mr. Machuk....wow...my printer has sat in the box for a couple weeks...just because of previous experiences with my only other wireless printer setup. That one I had to just "dog it out" until I stubbornly figured it out (along w a huge shot of God's grace).
I came across your video....BAM!...like an oasis in the desert! PharmerA11 was right on.....Brother should acknowledge You as the go-to resource for setting up these machines. I would suggest with confidence that there are several of these printers gathering dust because of frustration and fear of failure on the part of customers who have just given up.

I entered my network key. when I press OK On the last number I click OK and it just moves to the next spot. It doesn’t take me back to set up.
You should be able to click OK and then press up to apply the selection.

So easy to set up. You can also print from anywhere anytime. It’s connected to a cloud and as long as you download that app on whatever device you’re using you can print from it. So neatI bought it to print shipping labels for my small business and it worked great, just make sure you use ink jet labels. Love it ! 10/10

This is the third printer I've bought in 15 years. All different brands. The set-up is always a nightmare. Imagine lawn mowers or toaster ovens were made like printers:
- To make toast, turn the model dial to the toast symbol, then turn the time dial to the desired time.
- To re-heat food, turn the dial to the re-heat symbol, then turn the time dial to the desired time.
- For your convenience, your toaster oven can interface with many types of electrical power supplies and wall receptacles. Before using your toaster oven for the first time, review the list of power supplies expressed in joules and amperes (tip: convert joules per second to watts to match the toaster oven's electrical resistance factor to the standard voltage supplied in the region where the toaster oven will be plugged in). The toaster oven is also compatible with many wall receptacles in use globally. To identify which wall receptacle you will use, download the ToasterOvenTM App on the App Store or Google Play store. Then, click , , , , . Use the ToasterOvenTM's built-in wall-receptacle identification software to take a photo of your wall receptacle. In less than 30 seconds, the App will indicate a 16 digit alpha-numeric code representing your wall receptacle. Write this code down. Note, the code is case sensitive and may contain characters. Next, on the back of the toaster oven, identify the two buttons with up and down arrows, and the single-character LCD screen. Use the two arrows, select the first character in the wall-receptacle code. Press both arrows to select the code. Carefully enter each digit of the code in order. When complete, press both arrows simultaneously and hold for five seconds. If you have connected the ToasterOvenTM App to your toaster oven with BlueTooth (see BlueTooth connections), your mobile device will made an audible "ping" sound to indicate the code has been entered. To complete electrical power interface, download the ToasterOven_Peripheral_Hardware installation guide for your country and model, available from the downloads section of ToasterOven.com.
