You should be able to make Improvised Respirator Canisters with a Can, Duct Tape, ane Charcoal Tablets. Punch small holes in the can with a sharp object, fill the empty can with Charcoal Tablets, and seal it with Duct Tape. Gives you 5 minutes in the chemicals. Lot of steps and one whole new item (empty can or something) but it'd be neat to make more things improvised. Edit: Gotta love the age of this.
If you favorite your gas mask filter in your equipment wheel you can see it's bar percentage actively moving when consuming in gas and this works for combat gas masks aswell
@@KKKKKKK-sr1fz They're talking about the hot bars essentially. Specifically - The action wheel on console. You're able to see how much of your filter remains by checking the hot bar rather than entering in your inventory and shuffling down to your mask. Just a bit quicker, and a nice tip. 👽
These updates they adding more is almost making a story for the long time players. Start with complete lack of society, no outside involvement, just wake up on the coast and battle zombies and other survivors. Now, there are random gas events (outside involvement of trying to liberate areas of infected eith toxic zones). Next? Possibly AI? Actually factions of groups moving in? Would feel more like the Old Mod again, newer graphics and animations/tracking, but playability of Arma2. Finally would be where dayz should have got too
I was inside the Gas zone with a Buddy and had all pieces but boots, became cut 2x and bandaged to 0, but regaining 2 bleeds. I exited within 5 minutes and started giving myself Saline bags outside. I popped 4x Saline and then finally 1 of my own taken clean blood with a cocktail of MultiVitamines, Codine, Tetra and eventually after losing my blood down to Yellow, Coughing up blood, puking blood it actually went away to NOT SICK status within about 10 minutes. Luckily I had all the bags on and my own blood but maybe this is something to test as I did actually survive.
I dont know what was the reason I became unsick... maybe my own fresh blood, maybe so many IV bags but I had 2 - 3 downward arrows for blood many times between getting sick, coughing and puking but eventually was ok

The one in the military base is more worth it it's harder to get shot by snipers and you need to climb a ladder to get up you secure the location your invincible

Remember, if you're in a gas zone and your boots are near destroyed, put your repair kit in your hands and drag the boots to the repair kit! The boots will stay on but be repaired!
I think you can actually do that with every piece of clothing too so if the zombies start damaging the rest of the suit too much you can do the same thing to fix them
Wish there was an oxygen tank, that would prolong your stay in the infected zones, with the penalty of not being able to wear a back pack. That way, your lootingnisngonna be linited, vut you have a lot more time. So you could coordinate with your friends, about where things are, or probably bring the stuff to them.

Hello WOBO! There is one interesting observation about the contaminated area that you could check - I was able to recover from smallpox by transfusing myself with my own blood.
I've been playing for around a week and abit.just survived a surprise gassing.I ran out the area,had 2bleeds.I fixed them then popped a vitamin.I still had an illness to I read online about getting blood transfusion.luckily I'm a bit of an overthinkDr and had a bloody with IV attached.I used it and I'm cured now.
I agree it doesn't make sense but letting the NBC infected spawn with a chance of carrying some rare lootable guns or gear would actually make it worthwhile to hang around the dynamic gas zones. As of now there isn't really any reason to stick around if a place gets shelled with gas
If you could loot respirators and NBC gear from them then it's good. Even if not it's a new element to the game to spice it up. Different looking zombies

found a house around cherno thats higher than the gas. Just opposite the hospital where ground zero is ((front entrance)) there is a block of houses, ANY house that has a third floor and youll be safe from the gas. That includes any city area really, if the house / building is above 3 floors and above you should be fine.
IRL Israeli gas masks have the option to let you drink while wearing them, they have a long tube that you use like a straw. Could make for a more desirable mask in future updates.
I think it would be cool if they added helicopter crashes that were carrying the toxic gas, making it a gas zoned helicopter crash with the best tier loot
Playing mostly solo this is gonna give me new shit to do. A base inside one of the zones is gonna be ten times harder to raid now. Landmines and bear traps gonna be hard to see one cut and you are in trouble.
@@RG_RONIN if you can get a decent supply of mask and outfits with barbed wire and I imagine nbc suits get ruined easily then they are getting cut from the gas. You just need alot of filters.

It feels like Bohemia doesn't know Livonia. Making Radunin a static Zone is like so stupid. Not only is it the fastest route with a car from Nadbor to Brena, but also a great PVP and Loot zone. Comparing Chernarus and Livonia, it's like Making Stary or Novy Sobor a static zone... (Lembork and Radunin being the equivalent on Livonia). My suggestion would be Dolnik as a static zone. While Chernarus Zones are far east (Rify) , little north and farther west and little south (Pavlovo), it would make sence to keep gliniska airfield (north, little west) and Dolnik (south, farther east. What do you think?
I'd like to add, that I'm guessing, NBC Suits spawn in medical tents? So they made the area with most medical tents a static zone? Great Idea!... Is there a channel to submit feedback on these experimental changes?
I know this video is a year old but when he said if you log out of a dynamic gas zone you’ll be teleported out of the area. I’m new to this game and unfortunately that isn’t true, you’ll still be in the gas zone until it goes away.
What if you built a base in Pavlovo on top of the hospital? You could make the entrance in the zone. So whoever raiding would need enough filters before they could attack you

I gues this limits viable base spots because if if u wanna spawn in your base while there's gas it will move your spawn plus having to wait to return to base, or having to leave before u are ready... I see lots of problems with this

I know this is very late but do you possibly remember trying to give another player gas poisoning by giving them your “infected” blood? Of course when they have the same blood type.
Personally I'd like it so that gas cannisters are very rare BUT, once you have one you can repair/refill it with medium-rare items like the charcole. Having to find whole cannisters means that either they'll be so hard to find that no one other than teams will bother with gas, or they'll be so commonplace that it's not much of a challange any more. Same applies to the NBC suit I suppose?
100% you can cure gass poisoning without pox. the first time i ever got exposed to the gas was when a dynamic gass zone spawned on top of me (scared the shit out of me because that was my third day playing after having just taken a 2 year break) and i got the poisoning from the gas as i had no nbc gear. When i sow the poisoning symbol, i popped one of each medicine since I didn’t know at the time that the affects of each dose doesn’t stack. I believe the last thing i used was a blood transfusion
All very good and I like the twist but the loot needs to be a rocket launcher or a minigun or solid gold exosuit or or something really mega.... these zones aren't gonna get visited as I just really couldn't be arsed finding all the stuff

As of the secrets of livonia update you no longer spawn outside of non static gas zones and you can cure gas poisoning just by using a blood bag that was extracted prior to being poisoned
I have yet to find the green poxy pen for these. I have died several times before just by getting too close to a zone or one time bombed... I have heard the incoming rocket but never seen it or seen the explosion..
You can also slow down the process of dying once you have been radiated and no longer in the radiation zone. If you stay in a car you won't vomit blood and will only cough blood which will allow you to stay alive longer. If your running with a friend it will give your friend a chance to give you a saline bag to codine and morphine pen which will help lessen your coughs. But unless you have the vaccine or cure for radiation poisoning your friend will have to feed you pills and saline bags till you can find the cure.
Imo, requiring ALL pieces is a bit over in my opinion, I do not understand why I can't wear any type of gloves or tall boots instead, okay maybe the shoes, a tiny bit, but the requiring the gloves makes absolutely no sense to me, the NBC gloves and surgical gloves are practically identical and, just like the boots, can be tucked into the suit changing absolutely nothing compared to actually having the right boots and gloves. I myself had collected every single piece needed to go into a gas zone except the gloves, which, for some reason, I can get 6 pairs of pants to spawn but not a single glove, and decide that I should be fine if I just wear normal gloves because, like logic would dictate, it would be perfectly fine but NOPE, 2 bleeds immediately and I ran out screaming, having to search online and find out the hard way that you need EVERY SINGLE PIECE... Like i said before, ridiculous!

Not at any hospital I've ever came across? that's what I don't like about the game.. they could spawn more things to help when in need close to these zones. "like for the guy that didn't even know he was in a gas zone" guess I'm dead? not bleeding anymore but poisoned.
That bleed causing poison is a bug, its because you also get contamination based on the number of the bleeds. Devs forgot to check for the source of the bleeds.
I'm going to try this hellish game once more, I just wonder how I shall play, as I used have no mic that would work in game, and was forced to always be fighting cause you can't trust eachother mute really, I sniped so many, but now I got it, but still, people honestly are horrible but I've met many good people, just really depends, if I get a mosin of course.

If I log out after hearing the artillery from the dynamic zones, and I log back in will I also be teleported out of the area? Could you conceivably just log out in time, wait 35 minutes to be sure, then log back in with the zone having finished?

Never used a flare gun before, but now it seems like an easy way of checking/bating if somebody is in the military zone.

It's a way to balance it out, in a realistic perspective it doesn't make any sense. But from a game design perspective, it makes perfect sense.

In real life, NBC masks have the exact same feature. You can attach your mask to your canteen.

Test servers still spawning tier 1 loot at rify went in twice and just found a sg5 and a couple kolt pistols and kitchen knives

now the update has happened, I got to work out how to survive, luckily my stashed gas mask survived the wipe but it got updated and is now filterless.

100% you can cure gass poisoning without pox. the first time i ever got exposed to the gas was when a dynamic gass zone spawned on top of me (scared the shit out of me because that was my third day playing after having just taken a 2 year break) and i got the poisoning from the gas as i had no nbc gear. When i sow the poisoning symbol, i popped one of each medicine since I didn’t know at the time that the affects of each dose doesn’t stack. I believe the last thing i used was a blood transfusion
All very good and I like the twist but the loot needs to be a rocket launcher or a minigun or solid gold exosuit or
or something really mega.... these zones aren't gonna get visited as I just really couldn't be arsed finding all the stuff

And 3 hits on me as I find a humwee - one on the nearest gas station, an other on the humwee, and the lastly the third on the industrial town I am planning to loot for battery... on top of all this as I run through the forest to an other gas station two packs of wolves spawn on me too.... :D Wtf..
As of the secrets of livonia update you no longer spawn outside of non static gas zones and you can cure gas poisoning just by using a blood bag that was extracted prior to being poisoned
does that mean you can get poisoned if you use blood that was taken while poisoned?
When a dynamic zone goes hit does anything different happen with loot spawns?

I have yet to find the green poxy pen for these. I have died several times before just by getting too close to a zone or one time bombed... I have heard the incoming rocket but never seen it or seen the explosion..

You can also slow down the process of dying once you have been radiated and no longer in the radiation zone. If you stay in a car you won't vomit blood and will only cough blood which will allow you to stay alive longer. If your running with a friend it will give your friend a chance to give you a saline bag to codine and morphine pen which will help lessen your coughs. But unless you have the vaccine or cure for radiation poisoning your friend will have to feed you pills and saline bags till you can find the cure.
Imo, requiring ALL pieces is a bit over in my opinion, I do not understand why I can't wear any type of gloves or tall boots instead, okay maybe the shoes, a tiny bit, but the requiring the gloves makes absolutely no sense to me, the NBC gloves and surgical gloves are practically identical and, just like the boots, can be tucked into the suit changing absolutely nothing compared to actually having the right boots and gloves. I myself had collected every single piece needed to go into a gas zone except the gloves, which, for some reason, I can get 6 pairs of pants to spawn but not a single glove, and decide that I should be fine if I just wear normal gloves because, like logic would dictate, it would be perfectly fine but NOPE, 2 bleeds immediately and I ran out screaming, having to search online and find out the hard way that you need EVERY SINGLE PIECE... Like i said before, ridiculous!
I'm not sure I understood what you said to inject? po-x? where the hell are those at when you need them? Not at any hospital I've ever came across? that's what I don't like about the game.. they could spawn more things to help when in need close to these zones. "like for the guy that didn't even know he was in a gas zone" guess I'm dead? not bleeding anymore but poisoned.
Where are plate carriers spawning ? I haven't been able to find any in 1.14

Switching gas filter for the NBC resp. is not possible. At least not anymore. I'm on XB1.

That bleed causing poison is a bug, its because you also get contamination based on the number of the bleeds. Devs forgot to check for the source of the bleeds.

I had the gas poisoning and gave myself a blood transfusion and it went away. Not sure if it still is that way
I'm going to try this hellish game once more, I just wonder how I shall play, as I used have no mic that would work in game, and was forced to always be fighting cause you can't trust eachother mute really, I sniped so many, but now I got it, but still, people honestly are horrible but I've met many good people, just really depends, if I get a mosin of course.

looks like if you now log out in a random gas zone, you will spawn back on it.
