THE best Hard Rock band on Earth. Think that's everything covered. Nice choice of song as not many react to this.
*"Youth"* is a bonus track from their 2021 album "Unseen World" so it's really rare to find it on the internet much less as a first Band-Maid experience! They've only played it live three times. There's not a problem with that, just not the usual vector. Yes, they are powerful, and yes they like the contrast between your perception that they are delicate and submissive and the reality of their rock. They have three official music videos from the album: *"Warning!" "Manners,"* and *"After Life."* Their most recent album is "Unlease" with a couple of videos *"from now on"* (instrumental) and *"Unleash!!!!!"* Their most recent video is the ending theme for a Netflix anime " Kengan Ashura" called *"Shambles."*

Not usually one of the normal songs that get reacted to, this was a Covid era live stream video, so it lacks crowd participation. Don't shy from their official YT channel Band-Maid doesn't shut down reactors.
They probably do copyright claim videos tho which mean no ads revenue. Its a little bit tricky.

@@MaxSujyReact If you keep listening to Japanese rock and metal (Japanese all-female bands in particular) you'll see it is very competitive. There are some outstanding bands that are "run of the mill" in Tokyo.
Congratulations Guys, in a Sea of reaction channels you are only the 2nd ever to start their journey with "Youth" Which is a song the average casual fan doesn't even know exists.
I cant take credit because I was testing songs for copyright and this one was easy to get around. The metal scene in Japan is overall heavily on copyright (can react but cant monetize).
Lovebites and Nemophila are probably 2 of the biggest metal bands in Japan atm and BAND MAID is without a doubt the best rock band in the world atm.
As mentioned, it's very rare to see anyone react to this song let alone being introduced to this band with this song.

しかも一番最初に「Youth」を取り上げたリアクターは初めて見ました😁2019から毎日BAND-MAIDを聴いている自分でも正直、数回しか聴いてないレア曲です。でもスタートとしては悪くない。同じチャンネルでは「Why Why Why」とかもおすすめですがやはり公式チャンネルがベストで、どのコンテンツもリアクション動画でフルで使えますよ。
いずれにせよ、この曲は氷山の一角のひとかけらに過ぎません。ハードロックを基調に、メタル、パンク、ポップス、ジャズ、クラシックetc.が混じり合うBAND-MAIDというジャンル。

They may be the best rock group in the world today (I think they are). They are certainly the most creative band since the Beatles. (Yes, I stand by that statement!)

Miku was working in a Maid Café after being in an idol group that didn’t break through. She envisoned the idea of a maid-band that plays hard rock and metal. She recruited Kanami, after finding a Kanami guitar cover on line; Kanami then recruited Akane, who recruited MISA. Akane and MISA had been students together at the Tokyo Music Academy. The group decided they needed more vocal “oomph”, and collectively recruited Saiki. Miku didn't know how to play guitar when they started, so Kanami has been teaching her. She's become good so fast that she is really adding to the music mix, and Maidiacs are daring to dream of a dual shred.
The band was struggling early on, and in 2014, even as the label was considering dropping them, they posted the music video for “Thrill” which went viral globally. When they realized what was going on, it gave them the momentum to forge ahead, and they have now done multiple tours of Europe and the U.S. and are building a global fanbase who call themselves the Maidiacs.
They have released seven full albums, as well as several EPs, singles and music videos. They have put out around 170 songs, covering a wide variety of styles and sounds, without any duds. They combine a punk vibe with instrumental virtuosity (two things that are often seen as being incompatible), and have done some amazing progressive-rock songs with a metal edge to them.
They toured the U.S. in 2022 and sold out 14 cities in less than 48 hours. They followed it up with a 2023 tour which had to be expanded from their original plans. Their fan base skews heavily to actual practicing musicians. Some of those followed the band to multiple dates and documented everything on youtube-some of the footage is hilarious.
I’ve seen them three times (2019, 2022 and 2023) and their shows are truly life-reaffirming. So far no announcements of another European tour but it seems likely in 2024.

Like most Band-Maid songs, I like them from the get-go but really start to appreciate them after more hearings and seeing their LIVE videos. I'll go back and see an older song like YOLO, Order, Shake That, Freezer, Before Yesterday, Real Existence, Non Fiction Days and Alone, etc. and realize there's no band that can consistently construct and play like Band-Maid.

Nice reaction, and wow, you started with the deepest of deep cuts! Many Band-Maid fans don't know about this song. It's not even a B-side but a bonus track on a limited edition release, and I don't think it's on streaming services. The fact that you loved it bodes well for their >100 better known songs.

MISA's bass guitar is standard size. She's just not very tall, and at 5'7" she's the tallest member of BAND-MAID. Miku is only 5'2". If you like Wagaki Band check out BAND-MAID's April Fool's Day persona, BAND-MAIKO. The mix in Japanese Traditional Music in with their own bard of Rock. They only have two Music Videos though. One is a reworking of the BAND-MAID 'Secret My Lips' called 'Secret Maiko Lips' and an original BAND-MAIKO song called 'Gion-Cho'.

Welcome to the Band Maid club. One word of advice though, You might want to to stick to their official channel for videos. This is a rip from a "for purchase" Blue Ray so is technically a bootleg. That channel looks official but is not. Tons of amazing fan cams and DOZENS of official videos on their page.
Honestly, this is the song that was left off the standard release of the album and imo, the rest of the album (and catalog) really goes up from here.

I am in my seventies and I had given up on modern music. It is boring and has zero creativity. I came upon Band Maid through a reaction to them by someone I usually listen to because they react to music from my younger days. That was a time with groups like Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, the Doors, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, and so many more. Anyway this reactor turned me on to Band Maid and it saved me. Finally music worth listening to again. These women are truly great! Equal to many of the bands I listened to so long ago. I love this band and was lucky enough to see them last summer in Salt Lake City of all places. Believe me, they are even better when seen live. The hardest working band since Zeppelin!!!!
first you choose an anderground song they havve a lot of better song instrumental like "from now on" and "Onset" but for me their best song writing is tje song called "blooming". Bienvenue dans l'univers de Band maid le meilleur band rock sur la planète.

Max and Sujy, welcome to the Band Maid pigeon-hole. "Youth" is a not so often introduction to Band Maid music. "Thrill", the official music video, or "Domination", the official live video, are the songs most people view first. Band Maid has been together for ten years and have written and recorded over 120 songs (all of them good and some incredible). The Maids wear their costumes based on the Maid Cafe concept popular in Tokyo. Miku Kobato, who was an idol contest winner and who worked in one of those maid cafes, approached her music management company with the concept of women wearing maid costumes playing hard rock and melting faces. Boy, was she ever successful. Many of the band's fans call ourselves Maidiacs and we are loyal and rabid. The more times you react to Band Maid music the more followers you will get on your channel.
