Having fun in the snow with Quadzilla. 2021 Can-Am Outlander XT-P Apache 360 Tracks Promount 66" steel plow with drift cutters Recorded on an Insta360 one x2
They rust pretty easily and I replaced them with some hockey pucks that I drilled the center out of. I got the idea from a CZcams video and they work well.
Quick question, your orange stick markers on your plow, may I ask where you got them? They seem beefier than factory ones that just end up flopping over and do not help. Cheers mate
Hi there, I bought them off Amazon. To make them fit, I tapped the holes on the top of the plow to accept the thread from the bolts on the markers. I then cut the bolts to length so I can simply screw them into the plow without having them bottom out on the plow/wings. They worked great, bending when needed, and returning to their original spot. Hey! Wondering if you've damaged your drift cutters at all when the plow flips from striking something hard? It's the only concern i have with buying them...
Apologies for not responding sooner...I never saw this comment. I hit an edge of solid ice pretty hard last year that triggered the spring "flip" and although it was really loud, there was no damage whatsoever. The cutters are thick steel and are much more substantial than I had expected. They're totally worth it in my opinion.
Have you ever had to replace the plow skids yet on the can am plows? Just ordered my first one but have heard that can be an issue?
