  • I went to upgrade the power system in my Typhon Grom and to my surprise (not really), fitting everything in there nicely is far from easy. I ended up having to design an ESC mounting plate that fits into the battery tray and routes the straps to essentially shorten the battery tray, all without making any modifications to the chassis.

Hey Dude!!! Just so you know I love your videos. I also love going to Critters Raceway. Such nice people. I currently only own a Mojave Grom but I will be at the track almost every weekend and would love to see you there someday!!!

Hey thanks so much! I appreciate that man. I’ve gotta get to Critters ASAP, been a little busy but getting my buggy ready for the indoor season. Come check out the weeknight racing once it starts back up, I’m hoping to get there weekly for their Tuesday night races.
The Mojave Grom is sick, I’m looking to pick one up very soon. Groms are real fun on the indoor track, they do pretty well! Hope to see ya there.

@@GeddyRCI would recommend buying metal differentials for the Mojave grom because the plastic ones strip I learned that the hard way. Just telling you so you don’t make the same mistake. You could also make it brushless but I feel like it doesn’t really need it because it’s such a small car and is already great. Besides those differentials

I'm planning on keeping the Mojave Grom bone stock except for the diffs as you said. The trap I've fallen into with upgrading to brushless can get ridiculous as you simply.. break more things lol. And then you keep upgrading and spending and next thing you know your $140 has you $500 in the toilet!
However the diff upgrade is also solid.
