Find a gig. Which sport? You may ask to help out a guy who does PA. Run music for him. Get a feel for the flow. It's also good to know if you will have any reads. Somethings you will want to write out. If it's written out for you, try to read it ahead of time and amend it to how you would talk. If you read it cold, it's easy to mess the inflection and emphasis up. Some people write way different that how you personally would speak... and some people write in a confusing fashion.
