I can't agree with you more about traveling alone and the whole fear thing. you are 1000% right about that!
He's right I think it not a financial problem it that were afraid to travel. And that cause us to come up with depression and anxiety. a phobia quickly getting home sick. We need to learn to travel more. DON'T need much really just a plane. Plus Weekend at Bernies is my favorite. I need to see a beach this year. heck, this summer.
For a lot of people money is very much a problem, as is time off from work in the US.
There’s no mandatory vacation time and there’s people who won’t even take it if they have it for fear of being fired. It’s crazy!
I keep hearing that the USA can’t do what other countries have due to size, when it’s actually just an excuse to not change.

I disagree with his comments about travel. Frankly, travel is vastly overrated. For the most part, it's a huge hassle. Most destinations are over crowded (pre-covid). Often, there are more tourists than natives. Most places, especially Europe, are very expensive. Everywhere you go, people are on their obnoxious cell phones. In fact, technology has made the world more alike and more mundane. Traveling was much more interesting 30 years ago. Now, I much prefer to stay home.
