Taeyeon is the leader and main vocalist of Girls Generation, a legendary girl group and she is one of the top soloists in Korea. 14 years in the game and she is still at the top every time she released a new song. If you decided to check out on her, there is no way you wont stan her because she is very versatile. Some of my fav songs are 11:11, Fine, Blue, I, What Do I Call You and Rain.

Taeyeon is the leader of Girls Generation, the Nation's Group. They debuted in 2007 and she later debuted in 2015 as a soloist, she really has the golden voice you would enjoy. Girls Generation is ina hiatus as a group (for comeback activities) since 2017 (some left SM but are still part of GG and will come back if they wanna come back. They have been doing solo work and made an ot8 apparency together on a variety show for their 14th anniversary!!!

The choreography of Dreamcatcher's BEcause was confirmed by the choreographer to have been inspired by the Us movie. If you get an opportunity, you should watch the dance practice. If you decide to do a deep dive on any group, I know I'm biased, but Dreamcatcher really is one you should do. I promise you, you won't regret it.
Dreamcatcher is a group who have they own concept,is the one and only gg that i know who do this kind of concept more “rock” and is my favorite gg!Hope you dive more into them mvs and stuff
They aren't the only group with a rock styled music genre tho? They weren't the first, even. For example Marmello, PinkFantasy, Rolling Quartz, Rockit Girls etc

@@kalamies. Rolling quartz is more of an actual band though, Marmello is also more of a band that debuted a bit after Dreamcatcher, Pink Fantasy debut after dreamcatcher and their debut song wasnt really rock much of a dark edm thing (Irwa), Rockit Girl debut 2019.
None of the groups you mentioned debuted before Dreamcatcher.
I would also like to point out that none of them debuted with a rock song as hard as dreamcatcher (almost metal like).Maybe rolling quartz. Dreamcatcher really put out a statement with their debut. I have noticed the popularity of rock girl groups/bands growing in Korea but it has been from dreamcatchers debut to now. Before dreamcatcher that was almost non-existent. There were guy rock bands and even those were average in popularity. You can see the influence dreamcatcher has on new groups as well just with Pink Fantasy-Poison having metal elements mixed with edm just like Dreamcatcher.
Also dreamcatcher is the girl group to mix Kpop with different rock sounds.
There were groups who made a song or two with a rock sound to it like "Me in -Wonder Girls" or "Beautiful Stranger - SNSD" but these groups werent rock centric groups.
I dont know what you're on about . If anything Dreamcatcher is the first and most influential group when it comes to rock in Korea right now. Paving the way for other groups to thrive in it or incorporate it in their music. We International fans are a huge factor as well in the increased popularity of it but MOST international fans discovered dreamcatcher first and then supported other groups.

Well well well... To give more context to Dreamcatcher "BEcause"; it is a summer song which is meant to be fun, cheery and bubbly.... unless the group is Dreamcatcher and it is their take on a "summer" song which is based on a Korean tradition where you tell ghost stories or visit haunted places so that you can feel the "chills" to fight the summer heat.
Officially the song unravels a story of an obsession and longing for love. The capitalise BE in the title is used in context as the Hanja character 悲’ (‘BE’) as they sound alike and the word meaning sadness, and the title BEcause could be loosely translate as the cause of sadness, and paired with the line BEcause I like you or BEcause I love you, the sadness is caused by liking or loving someone. Also, as you noticed, the whole creepy toxic vibe is link to the choreography where there is a scene of someone choking another, and the lyrics about "forever mine, even your breath" and then "your face blue...like an ocean view" kind of reflect someone being strangled until the fact turns blue etc.
Also, you are right that the the MV plot theme has another layer that borrowed quite a bit of plot elements from the horror movie "Us" by Jordan Peele where doppelgangers who were forced to live underground depraved of the "finer" things and are trying to are trying to take over their "privileged" above ground counterparts...won't go into details as I guess you watched the movie). There are a lot of details in the MV that point to this such as the movie "Us" which has scenes depicting a hall of mirror, someone being captured and replaced, the carnival; similarly the choreography also uses the movie themes such as the doppelgangers holding hand in a chain, the slight side to side head tilts, ending pose of the center member which two hand on her face, mirrored choreography etc.. There are also a few easter eggs for the doppelgangers concept such as the MV is 3:13 minute long (coincidence? I think not) , and that the opening scene and ending scene has the members in completely different outfits (with the ending outfit more whimsical), as well as the completely drain symmetrical hourglass at the end indicating that at some point, the doppelgangers replaced their original counterpart.
More impressively, musicality, it plays into the theme of opposite doppelgangers where there is a two part chorus (whimsical and cute, and a more rock follow up) and two part bridge (soft vocals followed up by a deep spoken rap with atmospherically vocals behind) trying to show this mirror duality.

Caitlyn Taeyeon is THAT woman. One of the best voices in the industry. She’s actually from a group Girl generation from the 2nd generation of kpop but they don’t work as a group anymore ( too complicated ) but her solo stuff is just AMAZING. You should check her out when you want to.
They dont work as a group because they all GREW up, lol. One main reason they cant comeback despite of Korea clamouring them, is that most of them if not all are booked - like Yoona Seohyun Sooyoung Tiffany Yuri busy with taping movies and series, rest are doing variety and music.
"That was creepy, also really good" yeah. That's Dreamcatcher for you. Some of the best performers and vocalists out there, with a really unique concept! With them really you can say NO ONE DOES IT LIKE THEM!
absolutely YES to Caitlin getting the "Us" reference in BEcause!!! Girl, whenever u got the time and if you're down to get to know more of them, I highly suggest Deja Vu (it will take u on a journey with the vocals and the production) and the Dystopia trilogy - Scream, BOCA and Odd Eye, in that order to catch the whole story.
I love Red Velvet so much ! some of their concepts are a little weird but i love it haha some of my favs (that you haven't seen yet i believe?) are Zimzalabim, Umpah Umpah and also Joy's solo songs :)

If you ever do a deep dive on Dreamcatcher I hope you do the Dystopia trilogy: Scream, Boca, and Odd Eye. It's a shorter storyline and these title tracks slap hard. 🙌🏾 These ladies are my #1 group, a spot that they share with Mamamoo, and I was hoping you would get to them. Dreamcatcher is my fav girl group, no comparison for me! I'm so happy to see you react to them 😊 rock/horror is their thing, this is probably one of their titles with the east amount of rock in it, I think. Their music is great! They have the same producers as Ateez. Dami is the rapper, she's amazing, and the voice you loved during the bridge was Siyeon, a terrifyingly amazing vocal goddess.
Dreamcatcher is a very rock-centric group. Their first songs are more rock-heavy metal, but now they're experimenting with more sounds (always keeping the rock part, that's their signature :D). The rapper is called Dami! And if you want to listen to more of them i highly recommend you "Boca" (it's part of a trilogy: Scream, Boca and Odd eye) but you can watch it as a standalone if you want, it's soooo good i'm sure you'll love it 💗

I am so happy that you liked dreamcatcher. They are so different from anyone in the industry because all of their title tracks have rock elements in it. Their discography is also extremely diverse. They have songs that are reggae, edm, jazz, r&b, etc. Another cool thing about them is they share some producers with Ateez. Leez and Ollounder are the main producers for dreamcatcher and are a part of Edenary. I really hope you continue to react to them bc they have extremely talented vocalists and have some of the most difficult choreos in the industry.

Key and Taeyeon go way back but now they are everywhere in Korea from Amazing Saturday (variety show were they are both cast) to this lovely duet, they are known as the Kim siblings and both are such strong artist, Taeyeon is a beautiful vocalist so many lovely songs by her you should def check her out another time, and Key honestly he just release an AOTY, man he can sing and the production in his album is insane very well put together, def check out bad love when you have time, anyways I always love watching you and I love seeing your love for music makes me appreciate the songs more, love you girl

You were right about Changer Caitlin, it is indeed a song for the fans! They were actually working on a new full album for later this year when they suddenly got the news that Wow would need to enlist soon so they abandoned the full album and put together a more simple title song that they could finish quickly as a gift to Choice in the form of one last OT5 comeback before Wow and Donghun enlist. It was very upbeat and cute but I think it's safe to say a lot of Choice teared up watching it knowing it'd be a while before seeing them perform all together again
others might have commented this first, but Taeyeon is the leader of SNSD (Girls Generation) and she has an INSANE voice. I think you would really like her solo stuff (I really like Why, I and Weekend) but you can also here her in SNSD songs since she's the main vocal haha :)
I hope you can checkout Key's Mini Album, Bad Love. He is so in his element of modern retro theme. He worked so hard on this album...his vision since his debut. The songs are all awesome and my personal favourite is Eighteen. He's performed Bad Love and Red Tape and Helium. His live performances are always so satisfying. Shinee members are just so talented!
