Like peridot said, they were used on gems who had no known powers upon emerging. So could Pink Diamond have no known powers?
Maybe Pink had "non-traditional" powers, or powers that hadn't shown themselves... Much like Steven's powers while he was discovering them?
I mean the diamonds never really described what powers pink had.
I know that this is 5 years late and we now know a lot more, but let's ignore that for a moment. In this theory, he presented the idea that PD wore limb enhancers as a unique invention for herself specifically. Later on, different limb enhancers would have been manufactured and mass produced to boost weak powerless gems. It'd be kinda like seeing someone with a catapult, a device you've never seen before, and being inspired to make slingshots, something much smaller, easier to mass produce, and much weaker but still effective for soldiers.
Now I am imagining pink diamond the size of peridot. Wait, that's steven.

About the counter argument, we see pearl cover her mouth in catch and release. I know that this could be out of shock but she does this whenever she tries to talk about pink diamond. Limb enhancers were the first theory I thought of when I saw the episode, the second being maybe she had to "grow" somehow either by shapeshifting or some other life-power related thing. Who knows, maybe Pink herself was a master inventor that helped shuffle about Era 2.

OK SO I HAVE A THEORY, when Steven dies Rose will be able to reform. Rose is trapped in Stevens physical body and cannot be removed without hurting/ killing Steven, so when Steven dies rose will reform and separate from Steven in this reformation. Well we still don't know what is in Rose's chest. I mean think about it, we've been seeing the chest more and more often. With the preview of Pink, maybe now we'll get to see what's inside the chest. Whatever is in there Rose wanted to keep it hidden and safe. So it's only logical that the contents are related to Pink Diamond. This is just my theory.
I think the theories about rose quartz being pink diamond were correct and that there will be the grand total of six confirmed seasons of Steven Universe and one movie that is in the format of a Broadway musical

This makes throwing away Peridot's limb enhancers terribly wrong. The Crystal Gems essentially crippled Peridot and made her helpless. Even with Peridot's new powers she is not as strong as she was with the limb enhancers and not trying to retrieve them makes the Crystal Clods look like jerks.
none of the Crystal Gems are Era 2s, nor had they gotten up-close to any before Peri, so they wouldn't know the extremity of which Era 2s really are helpless without their limb enhancers//complete with them
Atill they didn't try to retreive them once they knew after Peridot became an ally. The Gems have been jerks to her. Leaving her in a broken barn, almost beating her up when she bad mouthed Rose, Amethyst throwing her tablet away if Peridot didn't have her powers would have had nothing again.
If they hadn't done that, Peri never would have discovered her magnetism.
That wasn't Amethyst's intention. Still there is the fact that they isolated her in an old barn, threatened her life when she was an ally and generally ignored her unless they need her. Steven is the exception but even he ignores her and thinks leaving her in a bathroom is good shelter.
Yet peridot had a whole redemption ark and got her own place. Yes it’s a old barn but it’s not like the gems could magically make a new room. (Maybe they can maybe they can’t) I think it’s nice that peridot got a whole barn plus the land around it. Because peridot as shown loves the earth, and what better place to go then the barn where you can enjoy the earth. ( a bit repetitive but you get what I’m saying) Also she had lapis (until she up and left peridot) and pumpkin to keep her company. She also likes farming which makes even more sense why she would live in a barn on a farm. As for her now living in the bathroom, let’s take a step back to the episode where she was hiding *in the bathroom* I think maybe peridot wanted to sleep there because she was familiar with it or something (could be wrong) Also amethyst and Steven tried to help peridot plant a garden in a kindergarten. So They didn’t just shove her in a bathroom and say “ bye”. As for the crystal gems and the limb enhancers, I can’t quite recall but I think peridot gave up them. She had a foot limb enhancer that Steven gave her and I think she got rid of it, or something. (I may be wrong though) As the crystal gems aren’t the *ahem* nicest people to home world gems. They shoved lapis in a mirror and were mean to peridot. But by now you should know that they aren’t perfect. Pearl used Garnet, amethyst did some irrational things, and etc. No way am I saying that the crystal gems are pure perfect beings, but maybe you shouldn’t be so hard on them. I mean Steven who was nice to people like peridot, did mess up. When he turned himself in he hurt Connie’s feelings, and worried EVERYONE. He may of not done as bad stuff like the gems but I’m just trying to say that even thought they were mean to peridot they WERE nice to her, that the crystal gems aren’t the best neither is Steven, and that maybe you misinterpreted some things. I’m not saying you’re wrong, I fact you’re sorta right. I’m just giving my thought on the subject.
On the question of whether I would want peridots limb enhancers back: they were obviously something she was highly dependent on (think alcohol boosting confidence). It would be a great opportunity to really compare her past character with her now character, and see just how much peri’s morals have advanced since she was introduced
My answer to the question of what gem makes/creates the enhancers are Bismuths; the blacksmith gem.
Bismuths are used more for Heavy Lifting and building structures on Homeworld; It's only our Bismuth who decided to become a blacksmith of her own choice (although that's not to say Homeworld doesn't have another class that specializes in smithing)
But maybe it's not a Bismuth, but a gem more like Peridot, seeing as she knows her way around tech.
What if the destabilized were prototypes. I mean given her size in the flash back they were probably pretty big. So garnet finding a much smaller version in the hands of a subordinate gem would be a surprise if they were something that had previously been unique to pink.

I don't think Pink Diamond poofed and came back WAY bigger than how she was before. In the Episode Reformed, Amethyst couldn't change her size very much at all. This maybe because she is defective, though. But PD might not have been defective, but simply Era 2. There has not been any gem onscreen that changed their size by a lot. So this means she could not change her size dramatically, even if she isn't defective or Era 2.
Who else just hears lemon hancers instead of limb enhancers.
I'm hoping peri makes modified limbs now that she takes pride in her shortness. The modified devise enhancers would look more like a mix of sombra and moira's gloves and the fingers while not in use would either attach to her chest like a bandolier or stay under her wrists like a bracelet.

Seems possible. In the mural in Garnets flashback it shows Pink holding two destabilizers. It’s possible that early limb enhancers didn’t have the destabilization and or the shocking ability that Peridot had.

It doesn't make sense that she wore limb enhancers because that is an era 2 gem advancement. Now, before you say "she was around for the beginning of era 2" let me say that OUR Peridot is from era 2 and when Steven asks if she was there for the gem war, she said, and I quote, "Oh no, I wasn't lucky enough to be around" meaning that she wasn't there when pink diamond was around. And she continues to say "but I read over a few hundred years of reports!" meaning that she not only wasn't around for the gem war, but that she emerged hundreds of years later if not more, let me know what you think.

I actually think a gems appearance is based on their state of mind. Like when amethyst was in the form of a little kid in the flashbacks because she acted like a kid. And when she acts more adult-like, her physical form represents her State of Mind.
So because pink diamond acts like a bratty child, her physical form represents a child (which is why she so small.)
I believe the Pink DIamond from the mural was a fusion... and thats why there was a hair change... maybe she fused with Pearl.... and she hid the pearl stone by the hair going up.... This is my theory. That might be the reason Pearl covers her mouth... maybe thats how Pearl killed Pink Diamond, or hides that big secret.

I highly doubt that. No offense of course but the Diamonds probably wouldn't fuse with a non-Diamond gem. We don't know much about Pink but I really doubt she fused with a non-Diamond gem, let alone A Pearl, considering their normally servant gems. I do think it's an interesting theory but also an unlikely one.
Maybe Pearl was her pearl... they bonded and fused in a similar matter as ruby and saphire... then Pink was caught by someone, maybe white diamond or yellow, and shattered her. That would be why we still dont know anything about Pearl. Pearl is a real rebel and fighter and Pink Diamond might have admired that.
Kelsey Cummins but Pink is different from the other gems. Shes childlike and there is the possiblity she would do anything to be like the other diamonds. She might not have fused with a pearl, but fusing with another gem and hiding that fact away would've made her bigger, stronger, more powerful. That is, after all, why gems fuse, even if intergemtype fusing is frowned upon, so was her human zoo and her childlike demeanor

Not as emotionally as she had in recent episodes, but it still holds the possibility that seeing Peridot Poofed and seeing the Limb Enhancers fall could have brought back a memory of Pink Diamond's Shattering.

The one big problem I can see with that is one of proportion. Limb enhancers are just that, LIMB enhancers. They do do anything to the parts of the body they don't cover. That's why Peridot's head stays the same size (making it disproportionately large) in her current form.
So if Pink Diamond wore limb enhancers it would only make her limbs bigger, not her head. Proportionally her head would appear TINY. And it doesn't. In both The Flashback and the Mural her body is more or less of normal proportions for a gem. Even if her enhancers included a helmet (like we think Yellow Diamond has) that would still leave her with a tiny face under huge "hair" (he hair is big in the mural and flashback, but on no where near the scale I am talking about). So unless the enhancers were along the lines of a suit that covered EVERYTHING (including her face) or she COMBINED it with shape-shifting (making her head bigger so it would fit) I don't see how the proportions would work.
Maybe the ones who make the limb enhancers are some other bismuth
