  • Testing the backhoe hydraulics on BX23S or BX25D after I installed the rear remotes. Would be the same for either tractor. I also want to make sure the ergonomics of the seat function as designed. I install a Heavy Hitch KPH2-O for safer towing of my hydraulic dump trailer.

      That’s awesome!! These machines are pretty fun to mod out! I’ve done everything to mine that I’d like so far. I haven’t used the backhoe since we bought a mini ex. Thanks for watching Brian!!!

    Good info but can't see what your doing. You need to bring your camera in close.

      I do the best I can. Thanks for your suggestion and thanks for watching!

    Glad to see the backhoe is working well with your remotes addition. I am also in Ontario and wanting forks for my BX25D. Where did you get them? Do you also have a quick disconnect for switching easily from bucket to forks?

      When I bought the tractor I removed the bucket and installed the BX6315 quick attach bracket. My forks are HLA Attachments model HD09KULA240. The factory bucket, my forks and custom loader plow all pin onto the BX6315 QA bracket. I bought the forks at Stewart’s Equipment in Erin, ON. Thanks for watching!

    Ive heard that backhoes are a huge pain in the ass to install and after watching this I think they were right

      Pretty easy to install once you’ve done it a few times. I have a KX040-4 mini excavator now so I never touch this thing anymore. Thanks for your comment David!

    Nice video. Did you have to disconnect the line from control block dump side to hook up backhoe?

    • @KillingItCountry
      @KillingItCountry  Před 2 lety +2

      I don’t think so - either the tractor supplies the control block or the tractor supplies the backhoe which then supplies the control block the dump to tank always goes from the control block to the tractor if my memory is correct.

      I put together the controller and was able to figure out the lines with backhoe on. Brilliant idea you had. I went with a single spool because it was on sale. Next project is the hydraulic thumb.

    Hey, I know this setup is a couple of years old, but do you recall if you had the backhoe and the rear remotes both connected to the tractor at the same time? I cannot tell, but in my head I cannot work out how that would work. It would seem only the backhoe or the rear remotes, but not both the way it appears. Thanks

    I know this is an older video but I'm curious about the hydraulic hook up. The backhoe looks like it has 3 lines pressure in, pressure out and tank. Did you connect the pressure in to the tank out line from the remote spool valve? If so all the pressure from the backhoe valve may damage your spool valve. That output is not supposed to have pressure without the power beyond adapter. You should have a disconnect in the pressure line from the tractor and connect the backhoe between the tractor and the remote valve. Otherwise you would need to add the power beyond adapter to your remote valve. This maybe the best choice if that line going back to the tractor powers your 3 PT hitch. Since the backhoe already has 3 lines it is set up for power beyond already. Add the quick connect between the tractor and the remote and plug the backhoe into it to complete the circuit. Hope that make sense.

      I could never make it any clearer in the comments compared to the detail of my videos. It’s been a while since I had my mind in hydraulics. Everything is working great.
