The lyrics of this song so perfectly fit the bluegrass genre. lots of religious imagery, and dark subjects. I would suspect some old bluegrassers around here would love the song ,never having heard the original.

Ten minutes ago my wife says, "I wonder why their isn't a country version of Enter Sandman", so I jumped on youtube and...lo and behold....this is close enough for me!

I have enjoyed listening to this version so much for a long time.
Driving to work each morning it was my go to track and I sang along like no one was watching.
I feel kind of guilty for the value I have had from this performance and I haven't paid a bean for it.

True musicians know how to apply a song perfectly into another genre of music
Their CD "Fade to Bluegrass" is one of my favorites and is all Metallica covers.
After hearing this, I think I could totally do a roadtrip with that album. 'tis a lot of fun!

+Install Gentoo Add honey. Pro tip: assemble from bottom up, PB, banana, honey. Add top slice of bread, and flip. This allows to honey to settle into the bread, and increases the distance from the sink you can safely eat the sandwich

A thousand +s. No, a million!! I got my first banjo when I was 12. I first banged my head to Metallica when I was 18 at Monsters of Rock in Memphis in 1988. I've been listening to you guys in my garage for years. I know every inflection of your voices in this song! To see the video blows me away. Y'all are awesome!!!

Let me just say I grew up around bluegrass my whole life and I am only 17. I have seen and heard many great bluegrass bands,pickers, fiddlers, ext.... And I would like to thank you Iron Horse for bringing it to the younger generation of people who didn't realize how great this music genre really is. Thank You :)
I grew up with Metallica and I grew up with bluegrass, and I must admit that I like this version better than the original one. I can't believe I'm saying that, but it's true. This is just fantastically good.

I never would have guessed, but this song lends itself to Bluegrass quite well.
Almost all metal songs and blues songs do. They have rock has origins in blues and bluegrass and so does metal (metal much more so, just using different instruments)

8/19/24, sometimes the CZcams feed offers up such random, off the wall, unexpected and never even thought of stuff…but gets it SOOOOO right. I already loved Enter Sandman by Metallica and I enjoy Bluegrass, this is the best of both worlds.

Pr3ct Someone says this every time a band covers Metallica. I'm aware of the Napster incident but I don't think Lars has tried to sue any bands covering their material. In fact, Lars actually lent his lawyers to Beatallica so they could defend themselves 'cos they were getting sued by Beatles' record label!

Its amazing how bluegrass's becoming my favorite because of you guys.
I've always found it amazing that two genres of music so far apart from each other can work so well when one is played in the style of the other. I'm a bluegrass guitar picker who grew up on both bluegrass and metal. It's like a match made in heaven. Now we just need Cradle of Filth to do Blue Moon of Kentucky. :D
