  • As 2022 becomes clear that our economy is taking a turn. Has the forecast in new RV hitting the road in 2022 in trouble? Full Time RVing maybe in trouble as inflation, high cost's of goods and services have an impact on the market. Not a good time to buy and be in debt possibly.

At the end of 2021, we bought our 6th rv. Please make sure you get on the roof and walk to check them out. The three that we went to look at all said they were in excellent condition, but all had either missing roof under the vinyl or a very soft roof that had water damage. Even the one we bought, which was advertised as excellence we have put about $15,000 into it.
Although, that sounds like a lot, even the new RV that we bought spent more time in the shop than us actually using it. They all need repairs, they all are very expensive to maintain.
It's not a walk in the park vacation out here, takes a lot of energy and money to keep on moving.
I like this segment you did, it was very real.

Being debt free is the key! With the economy being the worst in over 40 years - I'd hate to think how bad month to month would be!

As a millennial (early 30s), please keep sharing your knowledge & opinions Scott! Its so helpful. I am not a full time RVer yet, but make due with car camping on my long roadtrips to cut costs, even if the lack of my own bathroom is a drawback. Would love to look into buying a small RV one day but now is not the time obviously.

Look at used RV’s later in the year. Or renovate a smaller Skoolie.

Higher interest rates and sustained higher gas prices could likely end the RV boom as we know it. Food inflation doesn’t make it easier either. The final nails in the coffin would be if home prices decline and or the employment data takes a bad turn.
I’m not saying don’t RV or don’t buy an RV, just be aware of the economic developments in the works.
Also, take a look at the stock charts of Winnebago and Thor industries… looks like Wall Street is already pricing in the end of the RV boom.

Nope, with housing unaffordable to most, house on wheels will be very attractive to most as many youngsters and old timers will need a temporary to permanent roof over their heads that is affordable and easily obtain than a house or renting a place.

many of us get zero financing rate when we bought. i have zero rate on my truck and my winnebago. my house is paid for, camper 6 months paid for and 2021 truck zero interest rate. i think you might be talking to future buyers or the younger gen. that owes alot. not sure where you get your info at. this economy is in bad shape the biggest mistake is buying realestate thats going to bust. and in these times dont invest in a stock market thats going to take your money. a person has to have really good credit right now or dont finance any thing for another 2 years.

Didn’t say economy was in bad shape now. But it’s coming. The main point was this is not a good time to be overly extended with debt. Average finance new RV debit with people under the age of 40 is 76,000 according to RIVA. Student loans, cars, RV’s. That’s a lot of debt.

The economic hardship, recession, unemployment and the loss of job caused by covid pandemic is enough to push people into financial ventures. I'm taking a trip into investing because I lost so much during this pandemic. Multi creation of wealth is the best strategy to ensure financial sustainability..

I can't disclose too much, but yea I've been using his strategy and through his guidance, I've been able to make approx. $31,208 in dividends on a monthly basis. Not as complicated as it's used to be.
