Love your review. I too struggled for a few years with spending so much on a bag, and had the Chanel Classic Flap as my holy grail. I also decided to go for it because of the crazy price increases. I’ve saved thousands on my second hand Chanel so I can’t relate to the prices being just as expensive….it’s just not the case when you know what you’re shopping for and have the experience. I just can’t justify these ridiculous price increases during a pandemic with the state of the world. And what’s worst is the quality has also downgraded as well compared to just a few years ago unfortunately. I’ve also noticed the same with Louis Vuitton as well. That’s why I’ve paused on purchasing these brands for retail for now and have moved on to other luxury designers and even some contemporary designers for amazing quality and prices.

There are these chain adjustment metal clips on Amazon you can buy for wearing it single strap and crossbody, to make it slightly shorter. I think it would suit you really well falling at or above your hip (if that makes sense 🤪). Enjoy your bag!

I have a navy blue, I do not do the black bag or coats, navy is my neutral. This is one of the few handbags that I can actually use since I travel with a lot! Enjoy it and never apologize for rewarding yourself!

The price has gone up bc every influencer had one - without the exclusivity, ppl won't go to Chanel. They've not hidden this!🤭🤭🙏💜
Beautiful bag for sure but that price increase is ridiculous and I just can’t justify it but kudos to those who can. I won’t be purchasing anymore Chanel items brand new from the boutique because it’s just not ideal anymore. I’ve been purchasing my Chanel preloved and they’ve been in great condition for thousands of dollars 💸 less with better quality then these new items now.
All Chanel flap bags are such relatively poor quality now - if you catch the leather with yr nail or phone it will mark the leather, & then there's the chain, metal work & interior (I don't know anybody, including former Chanel Workers who won't tell you that Vintage is better.) Pre 1992 if possible - the Vintage bags were so much better quality, my Aunt has several & they're still gorgeous, & she still uses them. (& I had one, from the year I was born, as a present, it's beautiful. It took a while to get it, bc it has to be sourced from a decent supplier, obvs) I don't like caviar leather tbh, but personal choice is everything🙏💜
