Thank you!! 😊 This was such a long video, and was just wanting the list, lol .
Love these educational videos!! I'm relatively new to the hobby and I'm constantly worried there's something I'm missing. Keep them coming!!
Awesome! Thank you!
yeah they do give good info, but the truth about water conditioners is you can make 2litres of it yourself for approx $2........99% of water conditioners are simply sodium thiosulfate crystal's mixed with water.
If I use bacteria liquid then can I change 100 percent water of aquarium.. If the answer is... no.. Then what's the point of using bacteria liquid...
@@sufaldas3582 no the point is to speed up the nitrogen cycle
i know im asking the wrong place but does any of you know a way to get back into an instagram account..?
I was dumb forgot my login password. I appreciate any tricks you can give me!
Thanks for putting the list on the screen in text so that I could pause and add some of the items to my aquarium shopping list.
1:46 "heavy metals" True, I find my fish to prefer smooth jazz...
Funny
# Underrated Comment.
@Zavier Elliott lol...So you wanna "hack" things, hack this..
I’ve been a super amateur fish keeper for years. Watching all of your videos makes me feel a bit more competent! Thanks guys! Also, the thumbnail at the end 🤣
Great video, keep up the good work :)
When you talk about water conditioners, I realize of course your videos are mainly aimed at American viewers. However, it might be noteworthy that in some parts of the world the quality of tap water is much better. For example, tap water in the Netherlands is of excellent quality. No chlorine is used in the water treatment process because it's just not necessary due to the extensive treatment process used. If there's any present at all, it's because of other reasons and luckily at far lower levels.
(doesn't mean that I don't use conditioners, I use Seachem Prime)
My water company even publishes their regular water quality tests. For my home town, there's barely even any nitrate (0.97 mg/l) and nitrite is below detection levels (< 0.01 mg/l).
Very helpful video! Thank you! I'll add, that I have my first Betta, and for emergencies I love to keep on hand several Fritz Betta Waters. Came in handy during my first two months with my Betta when I had to move him out of the tank quickly at a time before I found out that I should be using the API Master kit test kit, instead of the strips to test the water.
I just adore you guys! I’ve got one single betta but thanks to you both, I also have a wealth of knowledge! I hope I’ll be able to expand my fish hobby in the near future!
Great video guys loving the tanks in the background. Along with a good product descriptions and there purpose. Also like the area you covered on caution of them and there use. Loving the T-shirts
Your comment about the value of CZcamsrs to the hobby is correct. Many years ago I quit the hobby due to lack of availability to information and accessibility to necessary products. When thinking of returning I scoured CZcams finding yours and two other wonderful informative channels that gave me the confidence to return to the hobby. The two of you and others sharing your expertise is invaluable to the hobby. Wholesalers who can’t see that are blind.
Your great guys, I’m a newbie and don’t now much about fish keeping, so keep up the good work as us newbie’s always go back to all your first video’s I thought I could get a tank and just put fish in it, now I’m thinking omgoodness what am I getting myself into, anyway when I bought the tank I fell in love with a 60 litre Hexagon, thank goodness I didn’t buy the big one with the cabinet, I will see how I go with your help and if I’m really into it then I can go bigger, thank for all your help, hugs to both, Julie x ( from the uk )
I'm so happy I found yalls page it ha answered a lot of my questions on my 20 gallon that I have. Now I know what to do now since I changed everything in the tank
Ive been loving your videos learning soooo much... Now Im a Happy Member 🐟 Thank You!
The ending was the best part! 😂🙌🏽
Facts
So true!! I actually laughed out loud.
"The part with the thumbnails?" "No, the end. When it stopped."
I enjoyed the whole video and learned some things so I am grateful.
totally AGREE!
Shameless promotion, but also shouting out to other companies and just a good attitude about it overall, I can appreciate it. I really love the new camera angles in front of the tanks!
Thats what she said hehehehe !
I've been subscribed for a few months and honestly I don't regret it. This channel has given me the confidence to start a tank with guppies, barbs, danios and neon tetras and It's going on swimmingly! (no pun intended). I had previously owned several tropical fish around 5 years ago and they all died within a fortnight. To this day I still don't know what happened to them, but my tank has passed that time frame and Isn't showing any signs of ill fish or poor water conditions. This channel has helped me grow my knowledge on fish keeping and It's now a new hobby and passion I wish to help people out with. Thank you KGTropicals!
I have been keeping fish for 40 years now, I can tell you if I met them 35 years ago I would have a few less gray hairs! They seem very passionate and care deeply for their aquatic friends. A very good video for the beginner or seasoned ichthyologist.
Enjoyed the video, I use a lot of these or have them just in case. Loved the gourami tank, they're the fish I fell in love with!
Thank you so much 😊 new to the fish 🐠 world and I have learned so much from you and your wife! Love your videos🥰🥰
Hey I am new to fish keeping and love your videos. Thank you for sharing the info about Fritz, was buying API before, but im gonna try fritz now.
Wow, you guys have really stepped up your video production value. This looks fantastic!
I was just searching for a video like this earlier this morning!!! Perfect!
Thanks for another great informative video! I can always count on you.
I have most of what you have shown! I love API Quick Start. Really works!!
The end cracked me up. Thank you for sharing this info 😁
Oh my gosh... I so needed a good hearty laugh! Thanx John
i think it would be a really cool idea if you put in the corner somewhere the names of the fish types in your b shots of your fish swimming around, i love learning all their names and telling them all apart
216 thousand subs. Nice fritz listens to your success. Love you old videos. Educational. Thank you for service you provide.
Love ALL your videos. Thank for helping me with my knowledge on starting my new fish tank!
Haha great segment. One thing I had noticed I found controversial was the fluval ammonia check readings were much higher then the fluval kit. I have only one Betta. Pet Smart did take it back even after using it. Nice aquariums by the way. 👍
Thanks you so much. I just made my list for my next visit to the fish store .
Thanks so much for your video! Your videos have stopped me from making so many mistake. You guys are the best.
Love the end! Lol! Just came across you. So informative! Thank you!
Good Topic ! I have a whole house water filter system that removes chlorine and chloramine and sediments, however I sadly learned that it did NOT remove heavy metals. That was a sad lesson to learn several years back. I, since then, continue adding Amquel Plus detoxifier/conditioner with all water changes and all is well.. I also add salt very occasionally, when adding new fish to tank..
Thx guys
Just started and u helped me out
Tremendace job welldone
Thank you for the information and the giggle at the end. I hope you do a making a thumbnail segment again in the future.
The last part of the video where your filming the thumbnail had me audibly laughing and that isn't easy to do for me. That part alone makes the whole video worth watching, the information is just a bonus at this point lol
I watched your old African Cichlid videos and you guys helped me out so much setting it up and picking the fish, thanks :)
The faces at the end lol 😆
Great information, thanks guys
Have watched this 3 times already for the ending. LMAO you guys are the best!
Very educational, thanks!
Great video!! And yes John you are saying Metronidazole correctly 😊
New to the hobby. Such a helpful and nice community
Keep up the great work!! Love you guys!!
Deb, Love your sense of humor with education.
You guys are really good what you do. I learned a lot from you guys. Im basically a baby in this aquarium world lol
What a beautiful thumbnail I love your content keep up the remarkable work! Thanks for all you do!
I have all but 2 of these products. Looks like I will be making a trip to my LFS. Thanks for the explanation on these chemicals. It really helped. 👍
@Fire Mouth 82 nope cause that happens when they pick a certain brand or type since its general they are not getting paid
@Fire Mouth 82 maybe but i dont think so
@Fire Mouth 82 if ya know anything about this should be be adding live bacteria every water change?
@Fire Mouth 82 bruh toxic enough, I was talking fast and who really cares about grammar?
That was just the right video I needed today. Thanks, Guys....
Dare I say I loved the silly faces John made at the end of the video...you guys are awesome!!
Thanks for sharing! Had a question- in an older video you mentioned Seachem Paraguard as a must have medication that covers a broad spectrum of issues. Would you still recommend that? Or has your opinion about the product changed over time. Thanks!
Oscar's are my dads favorites. I eventually want to get a huge tank and keep Oscar's. They're the coolest fish to me.
Love your content thanks so much for this video.
18:20 haha golden, I never really thought of how you looked doing thumbnails.
The 'getting the thumbnail' bit had be in hysterics! 🤣🤣🤣
nice oscar and aro tank there, cheers nice list and who else have a oscar tank at home ?:D
Me
@@lamgodoo6322 oscars are so cool :D "D thks for sharing; and anyone else ?:D
Now cycling my tank for them
@@Rustysturtles so cool :D "D cheers there fr sharing your good news :D anyone else ?:D
1 tiger and 4 albino tigers......2 were supposed to be lemon and were shipped across state. Now I don't have room for the lemons I wanted. Oh well, I still like the fish but wish they were what I ordered. They did give me credit for the cost of the fish but that shipping.....
Love the end that wass so funny🤣😝📸✔️
Love your videos they are really helping thank you sir😁
Great info and video. Thank you. Just need to know if these meds will harm my snails and shrimp in community tank. Will adding salt harm shrimp?
awesome video loved it! did you get a new camera? also love the chill vibe, would it be possible to do a video on some of the best alternative medications for us EU and UK folk, unfortunately we can't get the medications here like general cure, maracyn because antibiotics are prescription only, thanks
great thk u,just started discus n small arowana for my 10 yr old son( singapore)
Been watching KG since the garage african cichlid beeeding room, before the store lol
Holy shit. The thumbnail making SENT ME. 😂😂 I watched the whole thing.
Could you guys do a video on aquarium salt? Im interested in it but i also have bladder snails and some live plants so im not sure
Thank you so much uncle...for making this video....
I like your recording setup here!
Without John and Lisa I wouldn't be doing half as good as I am now in fish keeping.started with a simple 10 gallon tank.now I have 10 active running aquariums with 125 being my biggest and it has Oscar's(one year into fishkeeping).cant wait to get my oscar shirt!!!!!!!kg tropicals is the best@@@@
Us too
I'm new to the hobby too and wondering if adding too many is bad too? I right now only have API quick start and stress coat. Wondering when there is too much that can be a problem
I love the background music so much, the videos are awesome but the music makes it so much better .
I keep fluval cycle, seachem prime, and paraguard always on hand.
“That’s what she said” bahahahaha you got you a good one sir! 😂😂😂
Did not know it took that long to make a thumbnail. Awesome video!
Hi 👋 thank you for all your videos they do help alot 😊 I have a question about Melafix and Pimafix can you use them at the same time ? Will it be good 👍 or 👎 not
Love you guys videos and they have helped me out a lot! One issue though. Is there any alternative to API General Cure since you can't seem to get it anywhere without spending $100+ for a small box of it?
Omg, your fish are so happy at 1:09 🥺❤
The ending was sooo funny 😄
Very useful like all your videos
"Let's Make A Thumbnail" - my new fav segment
I have been also switching all my chemicals and meds to fritz just seems they r becoming the more popular brand at my local stores and seem to offer more in one bottle then most of the other brands
I’ve ordered some melafix and Pimafix as I have a suspicion one for my neons has a fungal infection. You’re channel is the first I look at when I’m unsure about what to do as I’m new to the hobby. Always very informative and helps me understand the steps I need to take. Great vids as always. All the best.
Great video 👍
I wish I would have already seen this video before I ordered Seachem stability, it's going to arrive tomorrow for a new 10 gallon tank that I put 1 betta in with 2 small mickey mouse plates and 10 young neon tettra's. They have been in there for 3 days now. The whole learning about the nitrite cycle thing has freaked me out! I have had a couple betta's in 3.5 gallon tanks each which I do a 50% water change about every 2 weeks and have had no issues for a year now, They both look beautiful and energetic, I put a couple ghost shrimp in there also which they enjoy as well as 4 neon tettra's. I don't think those tanks ever went through a cycle. Anyways, I will keep doing what I have been doing with the very small tanks. The 10 gallon though I see that I should most definitely go through a cycle. Do you think Seachem stability will get me through or should I return it and order Fritz Zyme 7?
Seachem is perfectly fine. Many people use it. Some prefer it. A lot of this is personal preference
You guys are just awesome 👍🐠🐟🎏
Love your videos watching you from Australia 🇦🇺
I loved the ending, you should do more
ok so we could put aquarium salt in tanks but i have fresh waterfish so do you think they could stand aquarium salt i have 1 betta 5 glofish 2 albino cory catfish
John doing his best oscar impression at the end there
Thats what she said ! Hehehe
lisa i love the shirt you had on in the video where did you get it . i would like one too!!! the video was very informative thanks.
i have 2 pacu and 2 oscars
my nitrates shot thru the roof after i switched to beef hearts and my the oscars and 1 pacu got fin rot and the oscars seem to be losing colors what would you recommend
i did a 75% water change and used quickstart
been 2 days the oscars seem more active any tips on medication
Hi John. 2 days have passed and I did a 50 percent wc. I noticed that my discus is eating but still hiding. As I changed the water, he began the erratic swimming again and went to the back of the tank to hide in the plants. I'm still at a loss. I hope whatever it is bothering him will go away soon
now this is the aquarium channel i needed
Love the shirt John
Which one do you use with stress coat in it?
Do you use the fritz complete and fritz guard at the sametime?
Hello I was wondering what kid of fish are those after 6 minutes and 3 seconds on the video... I caught one in the wild and I finally see one on your video to finally identify...
Great content. I’m trying to help my Jetta who seems to have swim bladder issues and he floats on the top on the tank. Is there anything you suggest for this please? I don’t want to give up on him and it hurts me to see him like this.
4:03 what if i dont have a quarantine tank? Or would i be fine with a fish bowl and a heater with dechlor water as a substitute
Great fan!..what's ur suggestion with the use of garlic water for my aquarium? plz replay..
Like your video so much.May I ask you something? Can I put MELAFIX directly to the main tank while the filtration is running? Is it possible, I mean will not damage the Bio crystal, Bio ring, and so on. As an Information, I'm not using Active Carbon nor UV Lamp. Thanks for the answer, I'm waiting. Thanks.
