    Thanks for the detailed temperature info, that’s what I was looking for. I think you can switch the control to a temperature setting. It will be in Celsius, but 20°C is about 68°F and the unit will ramp itself up or down to get the temperature setting.

    I can't believe it took me so long to actually find and start watching your channel. I've seen it as a suggestion many times, but I have so many other content providers that I watch already, I just didn't think I needed to add another one. however, none of my regular guys are posting anything right now, so I figured I'd check you out. I saw where your channel name came from and immediately subscribed and started watching videos. we live in the same town. in fact, I'm just about a half a mile north of where you made this video, off Cole road. crazy coincidence. anyway, I like what I've seen so far and will continue to pay attention to your channel. thanks for posting.

    These are great little heaters , I have one in my truck camper and live in my camper full time in the mountains living my ski bum life ...but they are not stealthy at all , they do have aloud start up phase and the fuel pump clicks away loudly when running ....other than that a great little heater ....

    • @Outside605

      Stealth is more difficult but not totally out of the question. My 2KW is pretty quiet on a low setting. That said, they still make noise. I'm sure the larger units are louder. As far a s the pump, I got creative and it's pretty quiet now. Basically mounted it in a enclosed box with foam surrounding it (waterproof camera box).

    Good stuff. Hope that diesel heater works out for you long term. I too can't stand the Buddy heaters which is what I use now, they are so inefficient and the condensation is the worst. My friend uses a small electric 750/1500W space heater (which he runs by a generator outside the truck) which really works great and I was considering going that route. Obviously that wouldn't work for stealth camping but I don't do any of that anyway. I may have to look in to these diesel heaters a little more though. Keep us updated on it.

    • @Outside605
      @Outside605  Před 2 lety

      If I know I'll have access to an outlet, such as in a campground, I like the electric heater too. I have a small space heater with a thermostat that works very well. The issue is only a few of the campgrounds out west in my area have power. But electric is definitely the easiest in that case.

      It seems to be getting tougher and tougher to find places that allow overnight parking. I utilize parking lots to sleep on my road trips and fishing adventures. 10 years ago, there were a lot less "No overnight parking" signs. Now, it takes me a bit to find a place depending on where I'm at. Luckily truck stops are still an option.

Not against using a campground if absolutely necessary but it would be nice to just park somewhere, relax, eat, sleep, and back on the road. @breakingmoney3077 Před 2 lety

      From an engineer standpoint if that's a fuel line making that noise. You need to put a massive fitting in-between the main line to the heater. That way it's not sucking so hard to get fuel it will stop thuding. Not too long but long enough to where fuel can be stored between the heater itself and the main line. That should stop the auction thuding.

    • @Outside605
      @Outside605  Před 2 lety

      It's the fuel pump itself that makes the noise.
