Your story reminds me of when I left Miami and moved back home to the US Virgin Islands with my children including my 15 year old daughter and her cousin (who you happen to look like by the way lol) . At 1st they hated it, it took them a while to adjust but now my daughter is in love with my island. She is a local artist and is so popular here.... I have to share this with her :)

Your videos have been so helpful as i prepare for my month long stay in The Gambia in July. So you have any suggestion on shots to get prior to tracking there? I don't typically like getting vaccinations, but i would like to be a safe as possible.
I saw utube that said no additional vaccinations required for US citizens to Gambia only covid and negative test 48?hours prior. 🧐please post if you learn something else

I went to Gambia in February after being away for 20 years. I didn’t need or take Any vaccinations and I was fine. I stayed for six weeks. I would say take some cold medicine. I got a cold due to the weather change.
Get Anti Malaria pills. You will take some prior to your departure and 1 every week while in Gambia. Talk to a Dr of African origin. The ignorant folks who know nothing about Africa will scare you as usual.
