The Story:
The Avatar is frozen in ice. After escaping the Fire Nation attack on the Air Temples, an airbender named Jonin flees into hiding as Fire Nations assassins are deployed to eradicate the remaining Air Nomads. Jonin is haunted by the voices of his fallen people and is left with a choice: He must decide to either remain in exile or risk his life, seeking out the remaining Airbenders.

It's been such a ride working on this project and helping out with the Particle Simulations, I also rendered the fire assets for BigFilms. So for those interested in joining the project for part two, I actually have a series of After Effects tutorials teaching you how to create these types of Avatar Bending FX in Trapcode Particular!
I can help edit ... If it's not too late
I'm interested sir.

How can I be a part of the part 2
Nvee is such a great actress I hope she can get more parts in projects ! Her emotion 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Nvee's acting is so great, you can really feel her empathy and kindness!!
Nvee from Blackswan 😀
I never thought a fan film could be better than the official movie.
😂
What movie? There is no movie! Here, we are safe.
@@RodolfoPimenta1998 why people keep talking about some movie that we all know doesn't exist?
@srevahc There is no movie in ba sing se
.... Actually, there's no movie anywhere!
We appreciate that
Found this because of Nvee but i also love Avatar in general 🔥🔥
Hello 8
Congrats guys! Congrats to Nvee!!!!
For the Luminas, NVee appears at 11:07 🖤🦢
Just wait until you see her in Part 2 😎
@@JNJstudios can’t wait!
NVee part starts from 11:06
Ohh it’s Nvee from Blackswan at 11:07 🥰♥️
So much emotion here. 😭 I could feel all the grief, fear, loneliness Jonin is feeling and no words were needed to convey that. I really got the sense that he is merely surviving but not truly living in the here and now of the story because he's still "living" in the moment of the genocide. Looking forward to seeing the rest. 🌪🔥
It's hard to believe this is fanmade. The cinematography and special effects are amazing!! You guys should definitely be proud; you did a great job!!
Definitely not perfect but I am proud of what we pulled off. It was a lot of passion to cancel out the lack of resources haha

Can't wait for part 2! ❤
I bet that was an amazing experience
Netflix serie?
apa benar anda ikut serta dalam peoyek ini. mantap hebat
Okay this was such an incredible first part. It was so cinematic and emotive. Even though they didn't speak much and there wasn't much action I found myself swept up in the emotion of the scene. You could really feel Jonin's grief and anxiety - seriously such a good job. Can't wait for Part 2!
Yeah when he breathed and took a step I really felt myself bored ash wondering wtf am I doing with my life watching a nigga walk sit and breath for 10 mins really made me emotional like come on nigga be real it was boring ash I would had a better time looking at google images and b roll talking bout cinematics dumbahh nigga I bet u get entertained watching paint dry🤦♂️😭😭😭😭
11:07 NVEE????
YES!
Literally THE BEST fan film that I have ever seen by far. When I say my jaw dropped at the opening scene, I mean it hit the floor. I only ever dream of being able to create films like this. Even the teaser shots at the end had me drooling. All my love and support goes to all those who made this film exist. I will be sure to be there the second any new content drops. Sincerely, your new biggest fan ❤
I love this. It's not perfect by any means but we tried with what resources we had. And we love hearing that people get to enjoy all the details we put into it. Thank you for sharing 🙂
Hi
This is oscar academy award winning film in the 80's bruh! That's how good it is.
Thank you for that. We really wanted it to be quality
No one is talking about the sound designer
Please, please... don't wait too long... That's my favorite movie ever...
Never imagined that a fan made movie would be waaay better than the actual movie released in theaters now 💯🔥.... Keep up the good work 🙏💯
It’s actually quite sad and pathetic that hard core fans of the show can make a better adaptation than a studio. Hell, I’m surprised that Netflix has not hired you for their adaptation. WAIT?! WHAT?! What I am even talking about?! There is no movie here in Ba Sing Se, right?! 2024 update: Is anyone one here after the official trailer for the Netflix adaptation?
The same goes he/she can't find or make his/her own original film... Copying or imitating is not the way to show your have the talent..

I saw it! It was great
Here after watching netflix this is better
The twin fire daggers were a nice touch!
We thought so too
Wauw thank you! I love it. Greetings from Amsterdam please more more more
I absolutely loved this, I believe that this really captures a lot of the essence of what makes ATLA great partially minus the humor (which is totally ok) but I don't think by any means it's a "dark take" but I think it really tackles the emotional feelings that 1 would have having experience the show once before, I encourage everyone who's a fan of this to tweet at Janet Varney & Dante Basco or anyone else involved in the ATLA Universe to bring this to their attention and hopefully they appreciated It as much as us fans do or retweet it to give them more support for their films.
Wow thank you and that would be awesome!
I teared up at the end!
Nvee ❤
This film Amazing 🔥🔥
When fans do it better than the movie that shall not be named ❤
Oh my god. This is amazing. The way you guys managed to capture to rawness of the genocide, and the fear and cruelty. Can't wait for the second part. Damn, Brian and Michael should make this canon, it's way too good. Wish you all the best, cheers from Uruguay!
Wow thank you for that feedback!
Huge inspiration to all filmmakers and fans of ATLA! Can't wait for part 2
This fan clip is Better then the movie. Big, huge thumbs up 👍 and 👏
That cliffhanger tho… great work!

I love the Buddhist, Hindu, and Aboriginal, Inuit philosophies that this shoe is based on. The word Avatar is a Sanskrit word meaning, manifestation, "reincarnation", and or projection. Easter's philosophy is underrated as the concept of "Maya" which means this existence is a dream state until we wake up. Hope this show acknowledges ancient wisdom.
I hope this pushes the Netflix one that was supposed to come out ages ago to be done
***EVERYONE STAY CALM***
This is done so beautifully to the point it unbelievable that it's fan made...
Thank you so much Seriously. We wanted fans to enjoy this cause we are fans ourselves
That guy has seen some things!!
Beautiful everything! The music was 👌 . You are brave souls to attempt to tell such a huge story. 😍😍😍
OMG I CANT WAIT!!! I remember being super excited when you guys started making it on TikTok and now it’s finally here!!!!😆
Thank you for being with us since the beginning
This is highly professional and contains so much nuanced emotions and symbolism in the story's visual framework.
Wow thank you so much. Everyone a part of it put a lot of work into it
man this need to get more views for upcoming projects
That's the goal! This way we can be more consistent and not release a video just once a year. Lol. We currently have 2 Avatar more projects in the pipeline that have already been filmed. Just need help with resources for VFX and completing them
The concept is amazing. Capturing the horror of Genocide and perspective of ordinary helpless human trying to survive. I wish netflix funded this instead of recreating ATLA. Let masterpiece be masterpiece. Avatar universe has so much to explore and this project is the prove
this looks AMAZING!
This is better than the actual movie yoo so good
This is incredible!!! The music, the effects, the acting!!! I love it!!!
Incredible work JNJ. You guys are amazing, it was a such pleasure to work on this with you!! 🎻🎶Bravo!!
How did I not see this! Your music made this production a chefs kiss

I love the algorithm sometimes! This was a great take on the fantastic series.
Thank you. Yeah we wanted to create an original story fans would love within the universe. Thank you for the support

Even though that its only fanmade....its already ten times better then the liveaction hollywood made version. Great work!!!

Amazing Avatar movie..👏👏👍👍👍😍
Bro I’m And So Excited!! I Can Already Tell This Is Going To Be AWSOME!!
This is absolutely amazing, I honestly believe that you guys captured a lot of the essence of what made A:TLA great & fits well in LA even though it might be interpreted as serious or dark I still think there's a lot of room for levity & comedy, I also think it is/could be on par with Netflix's LA A:TLA. I think you guys are doing a great job and I'm gonna be tweeting directly to Dante Basco & Janet Varney who voiced Korra & Zuko respectively and host the Braving the Elements Podcast
This girl reminds me of Katara. Looks just like her. Well done!
Even though she’s a different character she actually does
I really liked this, maybe you should consider entering it in the Fan Film Director’s Choice Awards
After 1 year waiting finally it's here!
Bruh this is so underrated, I'll try and share to as many pple as I can
Thank you thank you thank you
Great film….I can’t wait for part II. I also subscribed.
Thank you!!
I'm late to the party but at least we won't have to wait so long to see part two! I like seeing NVee act. It'd be cool if she were allowed to do an OST for it too but that might be tricky. 😅
Way better then the Hollywood movie
Just imagine if the live-action series is gonna be like this!
This is so well done, it's nice to see how characters other than the avatar and his friends live during the war 😊
Amazing!!
I need for part 2 I can't wait for part 2
Simply AWESOME and well made. Thank you!!! I pray you get the funding you need to keep going.
Love the episodes. I need more seasons please. Truly award-winning
The insurgence is cool
Wow this was epic! RIP Netflix Avatar lol
This is a resume on film and I hope every one involved gets funding to do whatever they want creatively !! Beautiful work.
That means a lot to us! Spread the word
IT’S COMING OUT ON MY BIRTHDAY WOOOOO 🎉 let’s go Airbenders
Happy birthday!
Wow! This is really exciting! I... wish I could be a part of working on this 😮😭
I thought the video would be mildly entertaining but in no way was I expecting this!! Wow! Well done. Hard to believe this is your typical fan made fare because the quality of the video is fantastic! You have a future in film if you’re not already making millions of your talent.
I CAN NOT BELIEVE IT! IT'S THE MOST GORGEOUS FAN MADE MOVIE I'VE EVER SEEN 🤩🎉
Hahaha thank you
I can’t believe he just left that cactus juice. That shit will quench ya it’s the quenchiest
lol 🤣
Got to admit love how that they don’t have whit washed characters and it has a good story unlike the last air bender I love it when people make their own version of a popular franchise or movie and make it way better
I love this movie concept ❤
This is beyond masterful! Such well-thoughtout storytelling in so many scenes with hardly much dialogue and setup for the next installment; you and the team are true fans of the source material! To see how much care and attention to detail you guys have been just in this segment alone is staggering!
I like that this takes place in the time between the genocide and the main series too, giving reference to what we know and shedding some light on what came before the show we enjoy. Plus, it gives depth to the airbenders by seeing how things were impacted right after that attack on the air temple(s) too by seeing it through a survivor's eyes living on bare minimum.
I can only hope the creators of ATLA have/will see this and be as amazed as we are! I look forward to seeing Part 2 soon!
Wow thank you for this feedback and the compliments. We really have cared about this project so much and want to only improve and create more
YESSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!
That's amazing 😍😍😍😍😍. Big love from Pakistan 😍😍😍😍😍😍
this is AWESOME
I’ll try to give some of my thoughts in a short review/first impressions.
Cinematically speaking this was beautiful. Perhaps even overdone at certain points as they are beautiful shots for sure but at times interrupting the established pacing. There are certain shots here that don’t really add anything to the table. I think it might be a good idea to be more critical of what’s shown. All and all though, massive respect for the visuals. It’s not easy to acquire the ‘professional’ look you’d see on big budget productions but these visuals compare well enough.
Moving on to the music and soundwork. I was seriously impressed by these as well. The music stays truthful to the ATLA universe with some creative freedom here and there. Some SFX that stood out to me were the impact sounds. This can be heard at 15:42 for example. Sounds fit great with the movement and this is a great example of that. Something I didn’t like as much was the music playing at 11:45. I felt like the flow and subject of the conversation didn’t match the eerie sounding music. The music felt like a threat was nearby, though that wasn’t the case. Even though this is subjective, I still felt the need to address it.
Something short, fan-made films suffer from the most, is cheesy acting. Well, I’m glad to say the acting was quite good! Nothing spectacular, but gracefully done in the scope of the project. The writing was a mixed bag, some good some less good. Some parts felt like characters were exchanging sentences instead of having a conversation. What I’m saying is, it could feel less robotic. Overall though, the actors really pulled me in. Good stuff!
There’s one thing which I think this first part is lacking, and that would be continuity. Most notably for me in the color grading department. I can tell more cameras were used. I’m not sure if both cameras are using different picture profiles but it seems like that is the case. Shot from 10:28 = blueish tints. Shot from 10:31 = greenish tints. This happens multiple times throughout the film, and can be especially jarring when suddenly jumping to a different area with a completely new colour palette.
There’s some small continuity errors like the transition between shots at 14:35 to 14:38. It seems they are either A) just starting to walk, or B) not walking at the same speed as the shot before which creates an awkward transition.
About a minute later, at 15:14 the camera is a little too shaky given there is no action going on. It seems to be the only shot having the shake, and is therefore lacking continuity.
It’s nitpicking really, but I hope some of the stuff I said hasn’t been spotted by the team and can be improved on for the next part. Once again, massive props to everyone who worked on this.
This is amazing and professional feedback. I felt like we just got a legit critic who watched our video. Thank you!
I have to say, as director, writer, principle editor, cinematographer, and "colorist", a lot of the flaws seen here were on my shoulders. I put colorist in quotations because I suck at grading and we were shooting 4 different profiles from 4 different camera brands. So for part 2 either I get better or find actual colorists lol.
And after working on this project for the past 2 years, I was definitely aware of most of the issues. A lot of the problems were due to time constraints and lack of resources, and the rest were me trying to figure things out. Haha.
But the rest of the team--the VFX artists, the composer, the actors, are so talented and really put in so much work, bringing this project to another level of quality and with a limited amount of time in between their day jobs.
Thanks again for sharing your thoughts. But now my expectations are set, and I'll be looking for another in-depth review from you on our next release. 😉
@@JNJstudios I’m glad you found it useful! I am a filmmaker as well, so the paragraph about trying to make everything work with limited time and resources is really recognizable, haha. If I have learned one thing it’s that a shooting day always takes longer than you’d expect. It’s hard when working with multiple parties to get the perfect shot as you don’t want to get behind on schedule. I have however learned to never rush anything. If it’s not as you want it to be, it’s worth re-shooting. The ‘don’t rush’ mentality is likely to result in a longer project duration, but for a passion project that is perfectly fine.
Either way this video is the result of 2 years of hard work and you should be really proud! As one filmmaker to another, realizing a project on a scale like this is inspiring, and a dream come true!
I’m looking forward to the next part and will surely be giving another in-depth review! Kind regards.
VFX was top notch, suggestion to the costume team on the hems and use accessories (beads, jewelry etc) to add 'Spice'.
I know! Totally true. But we added as much as we could afford. But future projects, I promise. You'll see the spice!
Nvee the actress ❤❤❤
NOOOO WAY!!!! This was SO GOOD!!!!

Really Great Work....i can understand how long it takes to create such a good product...love it 😊
