- The Mod of Redemption is a mod currently in beta and has been making waves in the Terraria community. It's full of all kinda of bosses, lots and lots of lore. It's a mod unlike any other than I have played and I'm needing to turn on a side of my brain I don't usually turn on while playing Terraria.

24:30 The Eaglecrest golem's second phase Ukko, aka Ukko supreme god, is the ancient god of weather, rain and thunder of the Finns and Karelians. The name Ukko essentially means "an old man". Akka on the other hand is the wife of Ukko, and can be considered the goddess of fertility, or the goddess of all living things. Akka also may represent the feminine side of nature, the earth mother who is fertilised by Ukko and made green by the rain.
They both belong to The Kalevala, which is a 19th-century work of epic poetry compiled by Elias Lönnrot from Karelian and Finnish oral folklore and mythology.
I just had to make this comment as seeing something like this is quite rare, and since its a part of my culture I cant go ignoring it haha
EDIT: Patient Zero ( Kari Johansson ) I'm not sure about, but he appears to be a reference(?) to a finnish hockey player from around the 1950's
14:11 Actually, going to the jungle and looking is better. Plantera bulbs, as of 1.4, spawn immediately after you kill either 1 or all 3 mechs. And to my knowledge, life fruit starts appearing immediately upon entering hardmode
Don't know if I buy that, lol. I never can find a bulb after the mechs. I know it's technically accurate...but I still don't buy it

Close... ONE Plantera bulb spawns immediately. There's still a 20 minute gap (if you aren't speeding through time by sleeping) between any others that grow. Used to be 20 minutes FROM the third mech being defeated, and twenty minutes for each one after that. That coding was also back before you could zip time along with a bed. The single spawn helps a little bit, especially if you already have the jungle mapped out a bit, since it also updates the map without you having to 'see' the area again. But fortunately, the one spawn, PLUS the sleep acceleration combined; make Plantera much less painful to farm for...
PS: Life Fruit is supposed to only start growing after you defeat one of the mech-bosses.
Yeah, Patient Zero is best to fight it more zoomed in than zoomed out, his attacks are repeated in patterns so it's mainly just getting that muscle memory (plus you could've used a defensive accessory like the Celestial Shell, Brain of Confusion, or the Frozen Shield).
The final boss actually has a dope mechanic, the fight changes depending if you have good alignment or a bad alignment.
I'm so glad you tried out this mod, probably the best 1.4.4 mod right now, it adds so much to Terraria's exploration, the lore feels natural, the sprites are gorgeous and the bosses are really fun.

4:00, tell the devs to add an unlimited dart pouch and I will consider using them.
You might actually want to give it a try, even without an endless pouch... Darts are dead-easy recipes that don't need *any* work station to craft up, since you can just make them by hand (like a torch).
A *single* Crystal Shard, makes *100 darts.* So with 10 crystal shards you can have the old max-stack level of 999 (+1 spare dart), and with 100, you have have a full 9999 darts (+1 again). Crystal darts fly straight as a meteor bullet, and automatically aim for nearby enemies upon ricochet. Not to mention that while you are gathering crystals you also have get plenty of Souls of Light (and Gelatinous Crystals) while you're there.
Same math (1 item to 100 darts) applies to corrupted flame, and ichor drops too... they either give your ranged attacks a fire that can't be put out in water/rain, or a debuff that shreds enemy defenses so you can hit even harder. There is a poisoning dart you can craft (still just by hand, no benches) from stingers, but that is a pre-hardmode ammo that actually isn't worth the effort in hard mode. The draw back, is the Ichor Darts and Corrupted Flame darts fly more like arrows than bullets.
Darts are easier to craft right from wall of flesh, sits in ammo slots at stacks of 9999 (more than double how many musket balls you need to make the pouch), and the dart guns themselves fire reasonably fast and deal some decent damage. You might not want to discount them wholesale just yet. ;)
The final boss has a second phase if your alignment is evil and iirc in future updates there will be some bosses exclusive to certain alignments, i don't remember where i heard it though

That patient zero fight is absolutely a skill issue. I find it hard to die against this boss since there’s so many safe spots. (Also starboard sucks ass)
I could never find a safe spot. There simply weren't any.

i would love to see you try homeward journey as well, it properly fleshes out a few of terrarias weirder subclasses (rockets and sentries) as well as having a hardmode 2 after moonlord, and i rarely see anyone talk about it

Ever heard of the mod called Light and Darkness? They are currently translating the whole thing from Chinese to English.
patient zero was so hard because you didnt clear out all the sludge in the arena and the boss requires slower movement otherwise you'll just zoom into the attacks so celestial starboard isnt good with it, wings would've been better
Well I did clear out the sludge at one point, or at least as much as it would let me mine. And I tried that small movements to but I got hit no matter what I did. Especially since one of the moves is a laser that shoots out of nowhere the moment it transitions between the two parts and when I moved slow I was always hit and just about one shot by it.

I have a suggestion for another mod and its called dragon ball terraria its quite different to what you usually do but its tons of fun and quite refreshing to not have loads of new bosses to fight its just a calm fun experience

patient zero reminds me of erchius horror from starbound
The lost labs in this mod very much remind me some of the pre-gen structures in Starbound (not to be confused with StarDEW). I think you might enjoy playing through that game once. It's no Terraria, but it's worth a playthrough, if you ever want something a bit different than Terraria (but still kind of close). ;)

It's a shame this mod doesn't function in Multiplayer so me and my friend had to get rid of it.
ah, that's too bad. It is in beta though so maybe it'll work at some point
@Throarbin yeah, hopefully. Just made me as player 2, unable to see slimes (possibly other things, didn't test enough), plus I couldn't see half of the bosses attacks. On my friends screen he was seeing me on low health, getting hit left and right, but on mine, I was at full health... plus they made the odd decision to make it to where each player has to deal equal damage to the boss, so once I dealt half his health I literally couldn't hit him anymore and had to let my friend solo him. Mad the decision to get rid of it and create a new world after the first boss.
that wasnt a "decision" that was just the multiplayer not working, its being fixed in the next major update@@camerontheninja9592
