You should go down to Puerto Rico, they got some mean horsepower samurais down there, with some crazy high horsepower mods 13b/sr20/4g63/3sgte etc, even with the 1.3 engine there are some making around 400hp

In France this Jimny has been announced with 10X horsepower, is that normal that yours even tuned doesn’t make those numbers? Or do you have a different engine ? I dunno man sounds strange ! Did the same to my + k&n filter and it's just fine for highway on overtakes you don't worry anymore
Its just enough to compensate for heavy and non aerodynamic items that most jimny owners put outside their car 😁

How much does it cost to make ecu tune ? Does it work for auto gear box? Does the manufacturer warranty fall in this case ? Wish to hear from u 🙏
It will be cool to bump the power to 180-200... It will probably outperform most SUVs on off road races with that

Would you know how to switch the language from JP to EN? it is a JDM 2018 Jimny and doesn't have the options to change language on the dashboard so I assume it needs to have EN loaded into it somehow.

good day, I watched your other vlog about the pedalbox, would you recommend an ecu tune and pedalbox or a ecu tune only?
I'd suggest going for one or the other only. Don't get both because your tuner can actually adjust the throttle map already when tuning the ecu, which is what the pedal box does. A tune is more expensive than the pedalbox however so weigh your priorities before deciding which one to get.
Nice small power bump. Have you considered an air intake, and bigger diameter exhaust?
we considered it but after seeing other Jimnys in the country do it, the gains were very little considering how much money you have to spend for those parts...

Good question! We put back the fuse for ABS/TCS back after the final tune. 😁

fog lights are from IPF Japan, ladder is from Front Runner.

For me, it really made the car feel more alive so yes I would recommend. This is better than buying an expensive exhaust system for the JB74 and seeing no gains. Yes there is no gains (dyno proven) when you put on that catback exhaust on the Jimny and not have a tune.

Would you consider turbo charging your jimny?
Good question but no. The cost of going turbocharging is not gonna be worth it vs. the outcome in my opinion. The Jimny also was not built to handle at faster speeds. The steering rack alone is already a let down when it comes to performance driving so yeah its a no from me. 😬🤷♂️
6 hp increase. Could get that with a good air filter swap and some high octane fuel.
We're running 100RON on this already with a drop-in filter. 😁
Its not the power figure you should be interested in in this type of vehicle, the more important figure is the torque.
Hi There, which fuses did you pull, to disable the traction control, and did it affect anything else, like the ABS, power steering etc? My 2019 Jimny is a manual, and I would like to drive faster than 35kmh in sand, in either two wheel drive, or 4x4 high range, without the traction control interfering. Yes, I do switch off the traction control, but it automatically switches back on in two wheel drive or 4x4 high range when driving faster than 35kmh. Thank you for any help...

Bro what is the equivalent of 83 wheel hp to mechanical hp?
The 2019 Suzuki Jimny is advertised to have 100hp (crank), but translated to only 77hp to the wheels. The hp is lower when measured at the wheels because of the drivetrain loss which is 23%.

Fuel consumption of the Jimny is not good to begin with so we never bothered checking hahaha
As a matter of interest what are the published hp in your market, as in the European market the 1.5 is said to have 101 hp 🤷🏼♂️

the 75 HP on the display could be kw? So 75 kilo watt * 1.36 = 102 Horse Power
Ok cool, been looking at getting one but the allocation for the market I'm in is really low, and waiting lists are over a year now, and new model Jimmy's on the used market are more expensive then new.

We didnt cause that would mean installing 2 other hub dynos up front. Power would most proobably be less with 4-H.

Its worth it to have it tuned if you have other bolt ons like intake and exhaust. Ours was tuned on stock components so the gains are small. We did this to inform you guys the results and help you decide whether you'd want a tune or not. To each his own. 😊

there is no noticeable difference with 6 horses at the wheel or even with 15 atmospheric horses. various would exist only with the use of a turbo or a supercharger.

@@VLXVNDR This is what caused the second generations to get criticised in India over poor fuel economy, as the switching wasn't in-cab. It turned out, they were driving in 4wd mode constantly, as they didn't know how to switch to 2WD.

The jimny is 101hp from factory, that dyno must be off
101hp is crank horsepower on paper. When on a dyno, we are talking about wheel horsepower, which takes into account drivetrain loss and other factors.

If something happenned to your engine while under warranty and they found out that the engine ECU was remapped, they will void the warranty. So goodbye to the warranty.

Ohhh yeah it's 103hp to the crank but of course you get drivetrain loss which makes the wheel hp lower
