    In this episode my friends and I trek in 10 miles to a natural hot springs in the Olympic National Forest.
    We encounter a little more snow than expected, make an adult hot chocolate, and find a few forest items to take home for medicinal tinctures.
    Come join in this snowy January adventure!

    Y'all should be using trekking poles, especially over those river crossings.

      Ive heard of government camp! I was just looking into some options when I was down there last (just a couple of weeks ago) so I think I came upon that in my research . Snowshoeing is so much fun! Winter can be so magical!

      Yeah and those were some fresh cat prints too 😬 But there were tons of deer so we just hoped they were more interested in that. 😅

    Good riddle! Here's one for ya 😎 What has 4 letters, Sometimes has 9 letters, but Never has 5 letters?

  • @HeartCompassAdventures

    Looks like you had a pretty successful adventure. It's on our list to get back to those springs. Haven't been there since the road washed out. Much Aloha!

    • @BackcountryWahine
      @BackcountryWahine  Před 2 lety

      If you take a bike, the hike could be a breeze! (well not so much on the bypass part, but the rest for sure.) Ive only been with the road washed out, but Im assuming its a lot less popular because of it..which is a plus 😄 Maybe itll be a whole new experience the next time! 🤙

    Hi. Which wilderness permit is required ?
    Could you please guide us?

    • @BackcountryWahine
      @BackcountryWahine  Před 2 lety +1

      You can book your permits through recreation.gov for the olympics. I believe the permit is for boulder creek trailhead. Happy trekking!
