I’m here just to say how brave & courageous you are to speak out about this - it has been going on for decades - we were all silenced into not speaking about any wrong doing coming from church & state - horrific acts were done on innocent boys girls & women - our people were brainwashed to the highest 😢
The fear put into us all was shocking - I’m 52 yrs old & have seen communities turn a blind eye just to keep the local priest happy - the do -gooders ! The control & brainwashing put into us all was truly horrific!
I’ve no other words to say only thank you 🙏 for speaking out you are one of many survivors 💚

So True - when you think of all the young innocent boys - grown men now - the suicide rate - so difficult to come out & speak about these barbaric evil acts done to them -

How is this possible? This is the worst abuse of trust you can imagine. Somehow you can think that these predators would be easier found in places like Letterfrack, but it's all over the place. There's a massive institutional failing that's got to be learned from and the vulnerable and fragile, both in age and in social circumstances must be protected. Look at what this man has gone through, the waste of potential, the suffering, it is horrendous

The silence is deafing here - says it all - a bit like the mother & so called baby homes - septic tanks barbaric acts - but we don’t want to talk sbout that do we ? All in the past all will be forgotten about NOT !!!!!
I feel so angry for all those who have been abused. These 'Holy People' are full of crap! I am so sorry for your pain. You were born beautiful and you still are. Thank you, you have helped so many.
Hurt one child you hurt the whole community. If I could return to Secondary School I would bring a few Nuns to court for mental abuse.
I never even hinted about my Horrific Children in an Industrial School My daughter is in her 40's and said to me Mum I didn't even know you are Irish, I blocked the dark abusive Childhood that Well used to change my name even worked paid Tax but in different names, Derek I am proud of you you are a true Born Survivor,

I Was in the same school as u, at the same time, i remember , mc cool, an mac donagh,, those two priests,, mac donagh, felt up a friend of mine, in first yr, an mc cool, with the drum stick, made innapprotiate suggestion to me ! Iam sorry what happened to u ! you brave for goin public, !! take care an heal

Back then the nuns and priests ran the country 😢so glad you’ve spoke out and your dad got your brothers out 🙏 I pray for more strength for you and try and heal and ease the pain in your heart ❤️
cause every thing he says is true, cause, i know those two priests when i was in that school, nothin happened to me, but, mc cool, known as noddy, made a completly innappropiate comment to me, an my friend from, derry, , was felt up by fr mac donagh, in first yr!! we used to call that priest rat !! as far as iam concerned, the whole church should be liquidated of there assets! u look after yourself !!! i was a foriegn student there !!
