I'm pretty sure the benefit of Sani flow was not to cut into concrete, if I'm going to cut into my slab I'm miles well put in a normal plumbing system then cover it again with cement.
What about replacing it? Would you have to break up the floor all over again?
Can this also be done on a second story wooden floor without needing a step up into the shower?

Yeah, I only see one major flaw with this.....HUMAN HAIR, how do you deal with it?? Cause it will sure get hair clogged pretty fast
it is right that hair is not an easy thing to deal with...but actually same as any traditional shower trap: a regular clean to maintain your installation is required

I wouldn't bust up the basement floor in my house I would purchase a fiberglass shower pan.

Make sure that that reverse flow valve is replaceable and that it is availably .. it's the first thing to go !!! ..other wise your stuck with a $ 800 dollar ..peace of crap !
