I started watching this anime without doing much research, thinking it's going to be just another school romcom.
I was punished.
I just finished watching the finale, and I have to restate what I said in an earlier comment. *_Your Lie in April_* is an absolutely beautiful series that is very much worth watching. The story, drama, characters, animation, music, and direction all blend together to create a wonderful symphony that has you stand in awe. I cannot recommend this series enough.

***** Doujinshi's. Both the best and worst forms of the fandom.(worst only because some of the things that come up are not relevant or couldn't have happened in the slightest so it doesn't make sense). But in this case, fanfics are very viable.
That last 3rd of the episode where he reads the letter was so incredibly well done. I went and checked out the manga after seeing it, and the anime far, far surpassed what the manga did.

T. Wood yeah, I understand the first like 12 episodes are quit boring. But after that it gets better. They're slow moving, but if I knew the ending, I would of wanted it to move even slower. Have you watched the whole thing though.
Miiinyoongi Yeah. I'm new to anime and was experimenting with all sorts of different genres to see what I do and don't like. I watched Your Lie in April to fill in that romance/drama requirement and I didn't really like it. On the bright side, at least I gave it its well-deserved shot.

I dare you to watch Plastic Memories and AnoHana. Not a lot of people know these anime yet they are beautiful and and also painful af. You will realize that a robot (Plastic Memories) and a spirit who can't go to heaven yet (AnoHana) can mess with your feelings

I watched this show when I was depressed. I was having fights with my mom. I watched this show and I swear it changed the way I look at life and love. I actually really like playing piano and this show got me back into it. Then, the girl I had a crush on played at the talent show and I asked her to duet with me. She said yes. Thank you to the creators of this show for bringing me out of my depression.

For me the saddest thing is that Arima couldn't tell how happy he was whenever he's with Kao knowing that he's only the friend A 'cause he thought Kao likes Watari but in reality all of it was a lie and Kao was the one who's filled with overflowing happiness when they're together T_T

I am utterly shocked with how good this series is right now. If you are looking for a wonderful slice-of-life, romance, drama series, you cannot get much better than this. Only 9 episodes in, and I can honestly say that it can easily be amongst the top 5 series of the year.

One of the best anime's I have watched this year, this was very moving the characters are amazing the animation is nothing short of spectacular,but the story and the music is what did it for me, I still can't get over the ending this is going on my top anime list and its never being removed.

There was no space for me to slip into. I had a surgery as a chile, and then got treated regularly as an outpatient. After I collapsed in seventh grade, I was in and out of the school repeatedly. I started spending time in than out. I was hardly ever in school by then. I knew that I wasn't very well. One night, when I saw my mother and father crying in the hospital waiting room. Or rather, even if I asked her straight-up, "Please introduce me to Arima-kun," I don't think Tsubaki-chan would've been okay with that. After all Tsubaki-chan was so crazy about you. We'd all know that for a long time. The only ones who didn't know were you... And Tsubaki-chan. The "you" that my underhanded lie brought to me wasn't who I'd imagined. I am overwhelmed by the huge character development in the anime. Needless to say, Kousie and Kaori are the best but the other characters like Takeshi, Nagi, Tsubaki, Watari and Emi...they a show a lot too. I just loved it. It pulled my hearts' strings in a way that I can't explain but I am totally touched. Unexpectedly, I didn't cry in the last episode as I should have (just teared up a bit) but I cried in the mid of the show a lot. But that doesn't mean the ending was not good. It was one of the best ones and I expected her to die...after watching Kimi no Suizo wo Tabetai but something touched me a lot. This anime is one unforgettable one.

This anime really is different from other anime (emotional and touching) movie and series! Your lie in April made me realize that we should live our life fullest and the way we want it to be because you never know when it is going to be the end. Just live, look forward to every opportunity u are given, set a goal to your life and try to achieve it. Live for your friends, family for the person that brings light to your darkness. You should totally watch this anime (especially music lovers like me :) )

I watched it all non-stop, after 5 episodes the tears never stopped till last episode, Piano and violin made it so hard not cry. my emotions were bursting out like fire-crackers, the combination of story with music is just beyond perfection,. it was like i was in the anime, living it with all the characters, but just a mere spectator.
It is the most beautiful experience i have had in a very long time, this isn't just an anime, just watch it experience yourself and you'll know.
At the end we all need the one who chooses us over everyone under any circumstances .. 🖤🖤🖤

this anime was on my top list.
I remember being in middle school when this had just come out and having absolutely no clue what it is was about except it being centered around music and first loves and springs I dove in happily.
It was certainly a beautiful and bittersweet anime but I remember thinking to myself “no that’s how things are supposed to go” and being so upset watching an anime for the first time that didn’t end up how I had hoped it would. And then coincidentally all the animes that I decided to watch after this one had similar endings that made me want to scream in agitation because the mcs are supposed to have plot armor. To this day I absolutely cannot stand endings like this in any shows I watch or book I read because it legitimately does upset me for a few days straight. But I did appreciate this one because they allowed closure and somehow you felt at peace

This is the only anime I rated 10/10 on my anime list out of like 23. The emotional roller coaster I went through was amazing. The way that this anime can make you feel sadness is purely incredible. The way that the anime ended aswell was fantastic and yet sad at the same time.

I needed some lighter stuff to get my head away from this anime, Its been days I finish binge watching and I still cry, what a beautiful story, it was bitter sweet ending, sounds cliche but sure hits you like a truck and gives you perspective that time is limited and you should not waste it, live at max with your loved ones, damn this anime while inspired me also crushed me, think I'm going to be quite depreesed for some time, what a piece of art, for anyone that will watch it, plz disregard this happy trailer, if you don't like to cry watching an anime stay away, I am a grown ass man and still cry like a baby after watching it. 10/10 master piece of animation.

when i started anime i mostly watched the action packed stuff but somehow when i saw that anime i instantly knew i had to watch it. Maybe because i play an instrument myself, i really don't know, since i thought this genre isn't really my cup of tea.. .Boy was i wrong, this has to be the best thing i've seen so far and it really got to me. I watched a lot of sad/touching movies (not always out of my free will :P) some of them made me think for a while but i wasn't affected by them and never, not even once made a movie or anime me cry because I always have that thought in my mind, that it's not real and only fictional. Somehow this was different. It got me from the first epsiode and i couldn't stop watching it, it was just so good and call me an idiot but at the end i was crying like a little bitch (and i'm pretty sure that expression was invented for the state i was in). I can't really describe it so just watch it and if you love music (especially when you play an instrument) this anime is a thing you definetly shouldn't miss.

This anime gave me the inspiration of being a pianist, despite that I'm an amateur and all credits to this.
I wanted to watch this anime for a long time... But for some strange reason I kept forgetting about it... Maybe I was burdened with studies and all... But the thing is, I watched this anime in April 2021... Maybe it was in my subconscious to wait till April to watch it? Who knows?
