INTPs are basically allergic to small talk and addicted to debates.
This comment is underrated
As an intp I approve this message
As an intp: truer words have never been spoken... Or typed
i can confirm i also love a little bit of arguing there, it's really cool when people have they're own opinions on certain things and theories
but that doesn't mean that they have dumb opinions and if they would have i would give them some of mine *"that's not true lines"*
and maybe that's the reason why i am still not really sure if i am INTP or ENTP :/
@@Trashy8 So you are not sure if you are an introvert or extrovert. I mean maybe base on the stereotype of being argumentative and from my perspective close to bullies one INTP might see themselves in their shoes, but when you take the letter appart I mean. If you spend a lot of time alone willingly because you feel normal as oppose to be surrounded by people and also feel like group gathering even with friend or family is exceptionally draining and after a family gathering or friend gathering you feel like you could be alone for a week or more and you would be completely fine or when someone cancel a gathering, or any social event you feel an incredible sense of relief than you are an introvert no doubt about it. There is more to it than that obviously but I would say it would be enough to make you an introvert. Even if some of us are maybe less introvert than others, I mean we are all on a sort of spectrum I don't think you can never truly gather a very large number of people, complex as human can be and sometimes in some case very contradictory into categories where no overlap can occur. Well I gues you could try but I don't believe the result would be a fair and accurate representation of a large demographic.
As an IxTP, I can add one tip for catching our eye (the healthy INTP in particular):
Teach us how to do something that we legitimately didn’t know before. It doesn’t have to be “intelectual.” Could be something hands-on/physical, emotional, or even spiritual.
BUT, whatever you show us, don’t be offended as we dissect it. We simply have a need to understand things to enjoy/appreciate them more.
[Edit] As an additional point: While you’re teaching us that special something, teach us _why_ you value it.
the way this is accurate and i didn’t even realize it about myself until now, wow
I relate to this on a personal level
I showed mine how to use power tools for her house proj. Then she started posting stuff she had fixed. Yay, pretty pleased
Exactly. We need the WHY.
I had not understood how to articulate this before, but it is true. My friend is quite passionate about math. I asked him to teach me calculus, which he happily agreed too. As he would explain things, I kept asking him why it worked a particular way. He couldn’t always explain the why or felt I needed more information before I could understand the why. I need to understand how it works for the process to click in my brain. It was a really fun time, and I love watching him get delusionally excited as he explained things because it is what God made him passionate about.

I hate it , cuz just the idea is too tiring ,so how tf do i allways find my self in that situation and enjoy it
My wife is intp and I am entp. We will say, let's go to bed and 4 hours later we are still debating about family dynamics of Stoneman society.
oh and yes she is super cute.
pics?
Yuck.. just goes to show you intps intrest veary widely. Id be so bored in such a convo.
You lucky bastard...
That sounds so amazing
As an INTP i can confirm i REALLY do love debating. Not because i want to argue with people it's just i love sharing my opinion and hearing other's opinion on something. I don't mind whether i win the debate or not i just really love looking at things from different perspectives and debate is one of the way to do that
Same here. It's the best way to find the flaws in my own arguments and expand my knowledge
I've been with my gf for almost five years and I still have to tell her I'm not actually advocating for genocide
Same, it nice to hear a refreshing opinion but if it’s just an ignorant and uneducated opinion I explain but if they still don’t care that just makes me mad .-.
I'm INTP who fell in love with another INTP and got rejected lmao im crying now
How can you imagine yourself with yourself I'm an intp and I don't imagine myself with another intp, change is good
I had the same situation literally 20h ago, holy sh1t
Long lige to INTPs we are god XD
(At least she told me that she consider me as a very good friend and actually if I still can help her with problems or give some hugs, I don't need any other type of love :>)
@@XCAT_OwlLover now she lost a good friend 🤷🏻♂️
@@KarimKarim-qd9ot nah I'll still talk to her It's the only intp with probably same hobbies as I do

3. Debates are fun ~ INTP.
Meanwhile ENTP: God Mode Activated.
(God Mode Activated) Well, theoretically, yes, you are correct, but that's only a commonly accepted stereotype. The only major difference between and INTP and an ENTP is that the first letter: I or E. I stands for "Introverted" while E, yes, stands for "Extroverted." When you dissect it, being introverted means searching for answers and happiness and, I guess, everything, within yourself rather than without. Extroverts are the opposite. From there, it seems that introverts don't like to talk while extroverts do, it's only because they NEED to to find what they're looking for, and introverts don't necessarily. That doesn't mean that introverts don't like to talk. Some don't, but there are a good many who do. ENTPs, who are extroverts and are interacting with the concrete world more than INTPs, will constantly be debating, but if you're close enough to an INTP for them to want to, like to, and even need to talk to you, there's a good chance that they will want a debate. Though you are correct, ENTPs debate on much more of a regular basis.
-INTP who doesn't mean any harm but likes arguing
@@LilacDeijii just loved this good job fellow soldier was fun reading this comment 👏👏👏
Um, INTPs aren't the ones that love debates, it's actually ENTPs, INTPs prefer to learn in silence but ENTPs prefer if people know how smart they are through debates. You aren't an INTP if you think debates are fun, INTPs only debate with other INTPs because they relate to them.
Entps want to make you look stupid lmao. Intps want to ensure what they believe is the best as we usually think it is but need confirmation.
@@cledotikeji5830 nope. INTPs debate to those they relate to regardless if they're ENTP or INTP because the moment that flow of debate starts to become a vibe for both of them they would want to continue because they're now starting to have fun in the exchange
I love it when my INTP friend can't stop talking about a topic and his eyes sparkle because he's clearly excited ❤️
All of us do this. You can really see our passion when we talk about this stuff lol

Love being str8 forward and hyperfixated and stuff
My roommate is an ENFP and he appreciates me (INTP) I don't know why. I'm blunt, sarcastic, and love to hide in my room.
I’m in love with an INTP man and he values intellectual conversation, he enjoys pressing me for difficult answers when he asks very challenging questions , he’s very silly at times and yet very serious about getting to the bottom of feelings, thoughts and ideas or philosophies. His biggest thing ever is complete honesty and the truth . He’s also very introverted and he gets drained if we go out for too long. I’m an INFP-T
🥰
Hey, I am talking with an INFP guy right now. What can an INTP like myself do to excite an INFP when we're still getting to know each other?
He's a lucky man. I regularly matched on dating apps with INFPs, but Ne in an Fi hero didn't work for me. they would read between the lines positive things at the beginning and then question my morals when we disagreed. I think my Ti reasoning sounded insincere to an Fi mind making my reasons seem as excuses and it would death spiral from there to the point one woman claimed I lied about being INTP because of my emotional reaction to her pulling away. I think INFPs are awesome, but getting inside their walls against trusting others is a huge obstacle. My happiness was in finding an ISFP. Their Ne trickster hurt our having deeper philosophical talks, but made reading between the lines harder for her allowing my words and actions to speak for me and not having to parce my words for fear of what she might think I really meant.
@@MrOoglebog how tf did you find an other human being interested in talking to you , also bread👍
I’ll admit I do like to have silly arguments 😂
Really that's me ... i argue with my mother for no reason ... she's a traditional woman ... She wants me to follow useless superstitions ( just mom things ) ... and I just argue for no reason even if sometimes I already know that my logic isn't valid there ... then I just start laughing very hard that my mother gets angry that I argued with her 😂😂😂😂 ... the more mom gets anrgy the more I laugh
As an intp, I confirm that I try to argue with ppl but they don't like to debate 🥲
Hello! INTP here, I think everyone should accept the fact that we have negative Rizz. Please take your decisions properly.
Old and long married fellow INTP here and I had to look up Rizz - Yes, ours is in the negative; acceptance of immutable facts and adjusting corresponding expectations and behaviors would logical.
To sum it up, INTPs are very lonesome, grumpy, child-like (in nature) individuals. 💀
Lol very immature INTP maybe.
As an INTP, I am very sarcastic, and love to just surround myself with about seven blankets while watching random CZcams videos
So yes, definitely
I'm never grumpy. As I matured, I have learned to suppress the closest aspect to that I have, sarcasm.
you described me so easily - by an intp
As an intp I approve this message
I wouldn’t say argue for the sake of arguing. Ignorant people who can’t expand their mind are the most frustrating to talk to. Whereas someone who can help you flush out and polish your own beliefs and values with intellectual conversation is what we need
It’s important that what we may want and what is best doesn’t always mesh up. There’s nothing wrong with encouraging an INTP to get out and experience something new. Just be mindful of when they’ve had enough and need to retreat to recharge. INTP as most NPs are generally in to people who are in to them. Give them attention and they’ll likely reciprocate. But individual results can vary.
I do like having fun debates (as other people call them), but I also like peace with people. Unfortunately, some people take my fun discussions too seriously, or they don’t realize that you are trying to grow and engage in new ideas. I don’t think of it as debating as much as engaging in a conversation. It could be considered debate sometimes, but people give debate too much of an argumentative connotations. Thankfully, I have pretty good people skills, but I have learned which people I can have what conversations with. I love being able to have a good, in depth conversation. Sometimes it’s hard when someone asks a question wanting a two word explanation, when in reality, to accurately explain it would take 2 hours. 😂
I don't debate and argue for "fun"... 🧐 That's a waste of my time and energy. I debate in search of truth.
But if the other person is just trying to win, or is very emotional about it, the debate is moot, and I'll leave.
Accuracy and truth are like an itch that must be scratched. INTP can debate to be silly but most of the time it’s important. Like you say, if we notice it causes emotional backlash (let’s face it, we aren’t always that aware) we may go and be accurate privately to avoid the conflict.
Me personally I debate for the competitive aspect.
@@00Klingon yes, you described what I meant perfectly. But then again, we're not all exactly the same. There can't be only 16 personalities in the world...🤪 so I stopped taking this very seriously.
As in infp, i currently have a crush on an intp and she likes me back. Everytime we have a sleepover, at night when the rest of our friends go to sleep, it’s no more small talk. We both love truth or dare (which always ends up being truth or truth lol) and it’s so fun. I love hanging out with her, i love hearing her voice, and since she’s a normally quiet person, i love when she starts ranting about something. It makes me fall in love with her all over again. ❤❤❤
This is what the guy i was in a Situationship didnt get, i wasnt arguing with him because i wanted to be rude, just because it's fun, then i get tired if the person starts annoying me
This is the truest thing! I will talk about my cats 24/7 and most people get bored when I don’t. Also I love arguing for no reason.
My best friend is an INTP, we know each other for 7yrs+ and *never* been in serious argument, we're also talk together everyday and I kinda make them more of an Extrovert because you know, introverts don't like making phone calls right? But my INTP even call me more than I do
~ESTP
Finally someone understands me and I thought nobody understands me.
In other words, make me (INTP) act as ENTP with you. That means we are closer to you. As friends maybe. But, for love ... Mmmmm... I think it is not that easy, even if it wasn't romance but besties, still hard to imagine myself in love.
Also, don't ask about our lives, we hate to talk about people's lives, and we are kind of losers, if not true losers. I hope this will shortcut the questions. Our life is empty to tell you something. We love to talk more about facts and general knowledge, even if it was stupid knowledge subjects like anime and video games. If you want us to talk about life, put your question in between other subjects... Like: "You know a lot about plants. Do you have experience with gardening?", or "You are interested in MBTI. Tell me a story that happened to you about your Ne function"... etc.
I guess I’m the only intp that debates stress me out 💀 I fear losing my emotional control over a topic

@@kiersor They may be "turbulent", as in, INTP-T. Whereas, you and I, apparently, are assertive, INTP-A.
I definitely need an INTP in my life, I do like how smart they are and how they want to know and learn more, they know their way.. I cannot even defend myself because it is hard to think of words that I am trying to express. The test says I am an INFJ, though not sure if it is accurate... I try to take the test so many times just to see If it gives other possibilities but nope lol.

i have a crush on an intp. and i can tell
he argues just to have fun but no hard feelings. and i played along with him. and it was actually fun. he didnt expect me to argue back. so in the end we were both laughing and having fun!
I would say arguing is not just fun, but intellectually stimulating, and I am open to exploring new ideas so if you present me with solid empirical evidence, I am enjoying it very much
The arguing is in order to learn for one's self. Too few push back to work through ideas, and ehen it happens it's extremely welcomed. For some people in this world, the truth of a matter is valuable and worth pursuing.
I've never felt so accurately described in my life 😅

that last one is spot on. I LOVE DEBATING PEOPLE AND THINGS I LOVE. I'd really like to fight back against the "cute" bit, but I've been worn down over the decades and just accept it [through gritted teeth].
However I will push back on #2. I think it'd be better to give the advice of "be selective with wear you drag them, they like to experience new things, but it needs to be interesting to justify the excursion and they'll thank you for the experience (and be impressed you figured out something they'd actually enjoy).
Otherwise, yep (perhaps with a note that they may not believe what they're arguing for, but testing your knowledge and beliefs, or just to see if they can argue for that side).
P.S. Nice channel name.
We debate because we're always seeking truth
Spot on 😄
As an intp:
Why are you acting like that?
That's so wired 😆😂

"so argue back"
ooooohhh boii xd
"They aren't arguing to be rude ... But they are arguing beacause its FUN " this is why i don't have many friends, because every moment i start arguing people just go away, they don't want to argue, like what should i do ??
This is correct and very nice! Thank you! - INTP
I was gonna say, when we're going on and on, just tell us to shut up! lol! Not that I want that, but I also don't want to be a bother!
As a female intp, yes.
As an INTP-T that is actually correct 😂
Arguing back can be dangerous, though. First off, they're probably going to prove you wrong, because they wouldn't be arguing in the first place unless they already KNEW they were right and could prove it several different ways. They're going to show you you're being stupid, and they're not going to worry about hurting your feelings.
Second, it you make really dumb arguments, or your argument shows multiple levels of ignorance to where it's like they have to tutor you for weeks just to catch you up to the point of understanding how out of your depth you are, you're going to make their heads explode and they may lose patience with you.
Don't argue with them unless you do it well. I don't mean that you have to be right and win. I'm just saying that you have to acknowledge reason and evidence and be able to incorporate new information. Arguing well includes recognizing when you're wrong. Your INTP does this and expects anyone arguing with him to do the same. Otherwise, he feels like he's playing chess with a pigeon.
Let me make things clear: INTPs like arguing for the sake of arguing. We don't care about "winning an argument". If anything, I can say that I like being proven wrong or going into a debate on a subject I know very little about, because that means I will *learn* something in the end.
As an INTP, I can't do debates.. strong 9 in my tritype, sometimes I end up getting into them anyway but it feels like a lot of work and energy and just.. no
If you want to date an INTP, then you probably want to date a warm computer.
(Coming from an INTP)
I like how all INTPs assemble under a video talking about them all the time just because they find it enjoyable when people boost their egos even though they would never admit it-INTP
As an intp, I approve
Ya yall better listen to us rumble🙃
As an INTP i hate debating because it's pointless...life is...also pointless.

No I don’t like how true this is stawp
As an INXP (Half INTP, half INFP), I relate to all three of these things.
Edit: I think that I’m actually just an INTP now, but just acted like an INFP before to try to socialize.
Glad I am not the only one who thought of having this label 😂.
I am still trying to understand why and how I keep flipflopping between the 2 🤔.
My best guess at the moment, is that I am an INTP when it's about me and INFP when other people are involved 🤔. It's still too abstract and not clearly defined, but I am working on it 😂.
@@GGGG_3333 Yeah. I think that now I’ve figured out which type I am (INTP) because of the cognitive functions, and enneagram (5w6), but I used to be unsure, and used this label. I think that it could go either way. It makes sense both ways. I think that my best guess is that you’re an INTP based off of your comment, because you are trying to logically determine it. Also, I have heard of INTPs who act like INFPs in public, including former me, as a way to try to socialize. But it could go either way.
@@user-mh5be7rj5j that's quite an interesting hypothesis 🤔.
The interesting part of this is how I feel about it. I think I am an INTP but I forced myself to become an INFP. Sometimes I question if I have true feelings and emotions or if it's just logical understanding of emotions as I seem to have the ability to completely shut down my INFP tendencies. It scares me to be honest 😔.
@@GGGG_3333 That kind of makes sense. An INTP can still have emotions, but the question is, are you completely FOCUSED on your own strong emotions, and values (Fi), or more on your own logic, and what makes sense to you (Ti) with an understanding of your own emotions. I think that initially, besides the fact that i sometimes acted like an INFP, I also believed the stereotype that INTPs couldn’t have ANY emotions, or emotional understanding. That blinded me, but eventually, I realized that I could still have emotions as an INTP. I think that it is possible to have multiple personalities as well, and maybe you’re both, but it seems that you may just be an INTP who is more in touch with your emotions, or is able to logically understand them enough to use them. If you are an INFP, it is possible that you just are a more logical one, but you seem to be more of an INTP.
@@user-mh5be7rj5j Even though I don't like the stereotype of the emotionless INTP, from my personal experience I can see where it came from 😂.
I think, had I been through other circumstances than the ones I lived through, I would have just ended up embodying that stereotype to the tee 😂.
Now I am interested in knowing how these personality types develop and the role genetic predisposition has compared to the environment in shaping them as well as the interplay between the two. More things to research I guess 😂.
