The drums are heavily edited though and produced by a computer. So people preferred the most artificial element of the song...

@Nicolas Reny I have, and it's sloppy at times, that's why I can say that he cannot drum like on the records. Also, it's no secret, their producer talked about using triggers, recording to midi to re-quantize with a single click (and fix all the sloppiness).
Them: "I don't like the vocals..."
Me: "But he's like 6 vocalists in one!!!!"
I know right??!! He's fucking amazing hahahhahaha
It's wild how, generally speaking, the more brutal the death metal, the cooler and more chill the people making it.

I love how cattle decapitation started to become more technical after the years. The athropocene extinction was my first cattle decapitation album and it blew my mind just after discovering technical death metal
Word. I like all their stuff but where they're at now is so good.
I remember when I discovered this band for the first time, it was right after Harvest Floor dropped. Changed my musical taste forever, permanently impacted how I approach drums, and kick started my emo phase in middle school! Ah, good times.
Monolith and Harvest Floor absolutely fucking blew my mind but Anthrocoplene is the best thing I’ve heard from metal in a long time

That baby! Lmao. Travis, I avoided listening to cattle decap for a long time. I judged based on the name that it would be tasteless. Don't get me wrong, I'm into all genres of metal, but I gravitated farther from the death metal because I didn't think anyone could bring anything new to the table. Cattle decap, namely you, Travis, if you're reading this have definitely brought something new to the table and I absolutely love it. I went back on the band's discog and bought all the albums. I can't fucking wait until Death Atlas. Everything about you guys is right up my alley. The delivery is phenomenal from all of you.

I can remember seeing cattle d th first time, 2 songs on the 2007 summer slaughter dvd and i was blown away, The Vocals were a cut above, so wild, i loved it. And the guitar, being in basically standard e tuning, still was super heavy. Death Atlas is so polished, its amazing, ive been listening to it for days, the vocal layering is magical, beautiful chord cycles and melodies, done at the highest possible intensity. Hats off. This is a huge addition the the library of "what it means to be heavy".

First heard of Dave when he was playing drums for Sleep Terror. It's amazing how far he's come, considering the drums in ST are already pretty fucking insane.
Saw cattle in toronto at a small club and i met travis and in the middle of the set he ran down into the audience and screamed the song in my face from an inch away from me. Greatest fucking night ever , they tore the roof off the fucking club.

"Good sport" shouldn't even be an issue. Of course random street people aren't gonna like it. It's more surprising that 80% of them didn't aggressively give back the headphones after one second of listening. The fact that nearly everybody found something to appreciate says a lot to me.
