    Horrible ball knowledge. Everybody hates this guy on twitter. Don't listen to him he doesn't know shit.
    Kroos is one of the most press-resistant midfielders in the world and has excellent ball retention. This guy's ball knowledge just stinks

      Toni kroos never evades the press he just avoids by passing his way out. when we say someone is press-resistant, we talk of player like modric, pirlo, mainoo, iniesta, xavi etc. have you ever seen Toni Kroos keep the ball on him like a magician, all you'll see from kroos is great passes and the occasional sweetly struck screamer.

    What a silly take! Anyone who has played the game knows that escaping press or retaining the ball (for your team) doesn't have to involve holding on to the ball. This man has been playing for Madrid for 10 years, you don't think all opponent coaches put their best pressers on him to take him out of the game? Yet, he still finds space consistently to make an "easy pass". Your argument can be better worded as Toni Kross has poor dribbling ability or he doesn't give you "wow, the ball is stuck to his feet" moments on the pitch.
    Of course you can continue to believe that all teams Madrid face let Kross have the ball to make an easy pass.🤣

    • @samuellaureano9159
      @samuellaureano9159 Před 27 dny +3

      @BIazy Nah, not being a flashy dribbler isn't the same as not having good ball retention. Ball retention is more about intelligence. Knowing when to play the ball out wide, when to pass a long ball. Having your team keep the ball is way more important than you doing something cool to get out of pressure. Takes like these are what made Toni leave Bayern. He wasn't appreciated there and Madrid took advantage of that. Everyone that played with him at Madrid says how he dictates the play for the team.

    • @thetruth4654
      @thetruth4654 Před 26 dny

      @BIazy Ball retention is simply not losing the ball, that can happen either through dribbling or passing to an open teammate, while passing it backwords or sideways is less ideal then passing it forwards, but it is still always better then losing the ball.
      As long as the team with the ball can keep it under their control, the opposing team cannot score or create dangerous chances, corners, or dead ball situations.

    I think that I never ever commented a football video in CZcams but you’re the one who deserves a feedback. Please go watch some other sports because you obviously don’t understand nothing about his geniuses of creation multiple options for his teammates and irritations of his opponents, stepping into several positions in a 90min match. He spends more than 50% of a match of his in other positions that he was aligned at by his coach just to open spaces for Option B C and D. But at the same time you don’t even deserve to be told better or giving you deepdive into football. Please go watch another sports man. This hurt my soul.

    I wonder how none of the RM opponents knew about this. Maybe this guy is a genius and only him can see this. *wink *wink There are tons of games were Kroos faces a lot of high pressure and he comes out of it anyway. Why do a lot of teams do not press? Because if they press and leave a good space (not great, just good) then they might face a deep pass that leaves their defenders in 1v1.

    Bro I have never seen a video that contradicts itself like this one... YOU actully showed why his ball retention is amazing in the video LMAO. by him staying away from the press and doing his passes without press because before press comes he releases the ball making him the ultimate ball retainer but LMAO you have gone opposite and call it literally small irrelevant passes in his half but these passes are ball retention basically he passes he gets it back etc etc...
    These small passes you talking ABOUT is ball retention and they have ONE purpose to shake off press and he recieves it back and does the same thing that is how he controls games and then he goes with high balls or same times stright balls to the forwards

  • @akramaouaiss2455
    @akramaouaiss2455 Před 26 dny +2

    yeah i agree he might be a bad ball retention due to his age because you lose agility and athleticism as you get old (he was more agile whe he was younger) but he rarely makes bad decisions he uses his experience well. His ability to dictate games and set the tempo is second to none,. its what makes him rare, gets out of the press most of the time with his great decision and passing accuracy which not many can replicate. most of the times he can beat the whole team with just one pass to create a 1v1 for his forward

    go watch sweden vs germany was it worldcup or the euros I think it was the world cup 18,, he started by doing a mistake that led to a goal against Germany, whatever shiet you were saying you will rub it, you have to understand when playing at real you play like a system when you attack you have to be aware of the rest defence, as a cdm you simplify your game follow the press when receiving the ball control the game, at the elite level you understand ball movement is the best way and quickest way to build attacks, you use the trickery keeping the ball at the final third where it is necessary to create half spaces, ( you take is ameteur- ish but good analysis)

    Greetings from Australia, not sure how I came across your videos, but have been thoroughly entertained from the handful I've watched, it's rare to hear contrary takes from a sea of agreeable fandom, so I enjoy your cutting analysis and remarks, even though never sharing all your views.
    Yes you correctly highlighted his physical limitations and lack of agility, which never allowed him to excel in the final two thirds of the field, despite reaching a high level as a metronomic conductor in the first third of the pitch. You mention he is rather barrel chested and ungainly physique, which I've noticed he's acquired in the last two season as to add other elements to his waning game, in terms of robustness in duels and the like, attributes which don't really elevate him above players of his genre in the past or present, but that's fine as all players have a potential cap, similar to that of a chess ELO rating
    Your channel seems to attract plenty of twitter dwelling simpletons, rather you should channel your intelligence onto greater platforms, I would love to collaborate via podcast, as there's an extreme dearth of thought provoking content in our sport, but I still sense a thirst for material from smart people who either keep to them selves or already hired by professional clubs, it's really an echo chamber of nonsense out there
    Maybe a new channel along the lines of 'The StatisticalEyeTest', as I still lean towards the traditional sense of gathering information about players through visual cues, which are far more complex than 2D objective numbers which only paint a fraction of the picture
    Cheers, looking forward to hearing back, add me on Twitter, if you wish to continue DMing
