Another day in the field! Brandon Currin / Currin1776 takes a look at the Fat Rope Stick. Take a look - we would love to hear your thoughts. Is this something you would include in your pack?
Excellent break down of how it works, and showing how to get many more uses out of it by unraveling the ropes into smaller twine was a real eye opener for me.
Here’s an idea... winter is coming... perhaps the next box can focus on surviving in winter... it could save people’s life’s... I go to North Dakota all the time and it gets -40
Really enjoyed your video. I use fat rope in the manner recommended. After your video I’ve learned a whole new way to spread it out and expand its use. Thanks.
Thought #1: Your demo/test videos are definitely adding value. Thought #2: Your comment about breaking down the Fire Rope into smaller segments was a good one (added value). Thought #3: Your comment about the black waxy material being flammable so don't toss it was insightful (added value). Question #1: Are you just testing or are these videos a prelude to what items will be in future boxes (or are you just teasing)? I enjoy learning about new-to-market survival products. Continue with these short review videos!!!
Nice upload mate - good demo. Thinking of buying a couple of these for my bug out bag now. Would the bits that you chopped up dry out after a few weeks, then not light? I thought maybe you could bag the bits in a small resealable polly bag to keep them moist?
I too like the Pyro Putty, mostly because I can put a wad on a stick and once lit, I can accurately and easily place it in my tinder pile. However, in survival mode, I would be very happy to have a Fire Stick.
If you brake it down into individual strands & let it stash for awhile..it's not as combustible as if you just carved of a piece and used it. Unless you plan on using it within a couple weeks ..best to keep it whole & use it as you go. Great product..best on the market. I've have gotten 35-50 fires started off òf One stick..burns for a long time even on rainy days.
ho yea that would be a great add to my fire starting kit. like that you can split it up. there is four packs in my family so I can put some in each pack.
It's funny because the past couple days I've been looking at this and the other fire starting products made by them and I planned on getting some to make a kit with. If one is coming in the next box that would be great. This and the other products like the wax wood stick and fire tape are excellent for getting a fire going and I'm all about getting a fire going☺
@@jaysonjones5527 it's not actually tape in that it's not sticky or used like that. It's rolled in the shape of a roll of tape and you tear or cut off strips like tape.
Production hanger 51 is the maker of those and lots more products, most of their stuff is on amazon except the tape witch is sold thru an outfitter company exclusively. Google will tell you the rest .
Have had these a year or so since another channel (Iowa?) tested by putting in stream under ice in winter. Great product. A lil pricy. Also comes pre-shredded in tins.
you probably dont give a shit but does anyone know of a tool to log back into an Instagram account?? I was stupid forgot my login password. I would appreciate any tips you can give me!
@Bode Mayson I really appreciate your reply. I found the site through google and I'm in the hacking process atm. Takes quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
@@exploringitall8588 - TOPS Texas Creek???!!! Now you are just teasing. The Texas Creek is real man's knife and would be a great KOTM item. I'm setting my sights lower and just hoping for a *REAL* knife, not like that impractical foo-foo Mission 55 Lord & Field Fortel Fisherman's knife.
This works about the same as birch bark(I do live in Scandinavia so I have tested both) Which in itself is quite tall order... So yea if you don't have access to birch bark this is best option and/or the fire strip from same company(I think both are made by same company correct me if wrong)
Wow that knife sucks get a barkriver there no matter what warranty is the best plus there sharper than anything get a bravo one in 3 v steel it’s the best won’t rust

Very good idea and one that hasn't been focused on yet.

@@SandW6384 hey i killed 2 squirrels so far with that takedown bow! i lost all my arrows though and haven't invested in anymore yet

I dig it.
Awesome item, but is it water proof, can u dunk or submerged under water and still light?????
That’s awesome! Love the flexibility of it!
That's cool. I like the idea of being able to make smaller pieces of the rope.

Good product but like all expendable stuff, the price is the deciding factor.
