I love the music as well.
I worked at this Resort in the 90's before it was renovated.
I worked 6 months busing tables at what was called the Palm Court restaurant and 3 months in the beach and pool department.
This was absolutely heaven to watch. I have fallen in love with the resort. The style and ambience pure perfection.

Stayed here on vacation and loved it. You show cased this hotel very well and it brought back memories. Time for another Maui trip!
That view is why I love Hawaii so much. Also that resort is spectacular I'm tempted to try it out in April.

I watch your channel when I am stressed because it's so relaxing. Everything's perfect. It feels like I traveled to those beautiful places personally. I also like that you accompanied your videos with relaxing music, and just put subtitles instead of talking endlessly or taking videos of yourself like some of the CZcamsrs I've seen. :)

Hey doc. It felt good to be in Hawaii for a change. Far from Italy the videos of which I have been feasting on for the last couple of weeks. The palm trees dotting the ocean front , the pristine beaches, the tiered swimming pools, the feeling of openness in the hotel makes this property a class apart. Hawaii in the tropics is a destination worth visiting and dreaming about.
I like all the music in your video. I really like the song that starts at 12:58 and ending at 17:08...It has the island scene of your stay there so much!!!!!!
I remember watching this video (and all your videos) during the lockdown and saying to myself "one day, I'll be there",
well fast forward a few years later and I just returned from getting married and honeymooning at the four seasons in Maui. So thanks for the inspiration and getting me through some tough and lonely times during the lockdown!

Loved the video.. However no video would do justice to this resort. I stayed here for a week on my last trip, every day I was watching whales from my balcony. Definitely my favorite resort in Hawaii. I can't wait for my trip again in Feb... Counting down.

the Luxury Travel Expert sunrises and sunsets are clouded over...during the day, the light appears dimmer...but white instead of yellow.

I could swear I was at this resort 32 years ago for a company event: I had won an award. The towers and location of the suites are the give away for me. 30 some years ago it was a resort with good bones that needed to be remodeled. I was in the towers for the company event, then upgraded to a suite when I stayed over. The suite was as wonderful then as now. It is gratifying to see the resort’s revivification into something glorious. It makes me want to go back, though the sheer number of people there gives me pause.
Stephen It was the Stouffers Hotel back then. I worked there for 25 yrs. I liked it much better then this ..... they took all the Hawaiiana out of the decor plus they didn’t hire anyone over 35! Real shame there were a lot of good ppl that worked there for years .... a real Ohana!🌺
DV 121 Thank you for confirming this. Back then, MAUI, and this hotel were my introduction to Hawaii. My experience could not have been more beautiful. I told people that Hawaii was one of the few things in Life that totally lived up to its reputation.
The beach is very beautiful.
My wife and I stayed here for or honeymoon visit to Maui and absolutely LOVED every minute!! Felt so much like home the way we were treated to the feel of the property!!! We will stay again next time we visit Maui without a doubt!! Great video!!!
You need to go the Grand Hyatt Poipu on Kauai.
We prefer the Grand Wailea -- larger and less crowded although Morimotos was our favorite place to eat.

I would like to say thank you "the Luxury Travel Expert" for replying to my comment on your other Hawaii video. Secondly I can see why you really like this resort. I will have to start checking into this property.
And can you do a "Behind the scenes" video on how you make the decisions on where you plan on vacationing and where to stay? And maybe include who you travel with? Like the "Green Shorts" people.
Thank you for your suggestion. Maybe I can do that one day :-). My hotel choices are mostly inspired by the Kiwicollection and Virtuoso websites (which list the world's most amazing properties). Safe travels!

The Andaz hotel in Papagayo, Guanecaste (Costa Rica) has all the Andaz features, but in my opinion is way calmer and nicer than this Andaz. You should check it out!

One thing im wondering for each video is why you don´t mention somewhere how much the prices is for the hotel, the food breakfest, dinner etc. Im trying to pause everytime I see the food menu, if I see a price tag :D
We flew from Louisiana and for 5 nights it was a little over 5k back in 2015. We purchased the breakfast package as well so breakfast was included in our overall price. You still receive the receipt and for me and my wife if we had not already prepaid it would have been $149.00 for the 2 of us. So you better believe we got up every morning and ate breakfast.

Because if he told u how much u would shit yourself how much not paying those prices u would be making up your own prices for Breakfast and staying there. No not paying 😒😑that DEAR. That is not worth it. U would be wanting it for nothing. Then when something went wrong u would be telling them i have paid a lot of money for this. (YEAH).not staying there at those prices. Next thing u will be wanting something knocked off the BiLL what comes in mind to me is Dont Ask for credit or a smack in the teeth offend affends. Ok now do u know the prices. Right glad we sorted that out. 👍in other words it is out of your League. And price range. U may have to Dream a Bit Longer ✨💖💕❤💙. ✨

When I click the links to your videos from your emails, it always jumps me in part way through the video. Can I suggest you use the shortlink youtube gives you when you're uploading? I think you're using a link from when you've already played it half way through or something. Might help improve your viewing figures!

This is a bit more like the high end Asian resorts you've filmed (although still not as good). Much better than the other ones in Hawaii in my opinion. Nice. 😊

Love to watch your videos. I know it's just a matter of personal preference, but the look of this hotel doesn't appeal to me much. Everything inside is so brown! Nothing in the decor suggests "Hawaii" or even, really, "tropical resort." The rooms you show are nice, sure, but they look like they could just as easily be in Copenhagen as Maui. Maybe I'm too old, and prefer more traditional (read "cliche") design. Glad you liked it. Happy Holidays.
Grand Wailea beats this in my book - lovely open-feel lobby leading to circular bar in the middle of a soaring atrium, with sculptures all around. Fantastically-fun pools with water elevator, tarzan swing, pool bar, adult pool with beautiful fountain, multiple water slides; nice beach front, large rooms with spacious lanai, concierge tower, etc.
Very nice, not bad for an American venue. Good lord, we Americans are LOUD!

Big chain hotels just have no soul,,like this one, u,must search for that great small-mid hotel ,they are there.
Smooth move on LTE not doing a stay at the Grand Wailea Resort..the service is subpar. I am a party planner and while I was there I was scouting the site for future weddings and the catering mgr was very 'unaccomadating'--seriously!?--I'm trying to bring you business and you ignore me? Unless I was handing them a deposit check..they went about their business. Although a nice property and beautiful pools..I do not recommend it. The subpar hospitality & service did NOT jive with the amount of money I doled out and there are many other nice places to stay like the Four Seasons and Fairmont.
If you want, and conform to the Corporate Formulaic Holiday Resort, this is ideal for you.

Ive always felt that any deserted beach is for lovers and the very depressed
Looks like a prison complex - "modern" usually means 1960s square throwbacks because architects can't come up with anything new.
Unfortunately, these american beach hotels are always too noisy for my taste.
I suspect there is a lot of urine in that pool - with many carbs!
Americans seem so loud and crass. Granted there are many Canadians like that but i didn't expect the people attending there would be.
I've stayed here...not impressed. Yeah, it looks cool, but its loaded with bored 30-somethings staring at their cell phones. Mediocre drinks are $18 in a plastic cup. Need to go to the Grand Wailea for a real class Mai Tai. Also, if a group is there they take over the hotel and treat other travelers second class. If this is your favorite on Hawaii then you either haven't been anywhere else, or more likely, you're on their payroll.
Crowds of people EVERYWHERE. Not my idea of a relaxing vacation..
and SO many fucking kids, UGH
