Can't believe Billy wrote this song back in the eighties! the lyrics stand up so strongly now in 2023. I did nick , the lyric Country Of The Blind for one of my songs (go to Dave Tommo you tube Channel) called Obey. I saw The Faith Brothers a few times live. They were a great band and should have been heard by way more people..RIP Billy you were a genious ! love Dave Tommo X
Saw them supporting the Boomtown Rats in their 1985(?) V Deep tour in Aberdeen. Fabulous band. This song always stuck with me. Why they never made it big is a mystery
If you like this, you gotta read Christopher Brookmyre's deadly crime novel, Country of the Blind - this band and Brookmyre nail it - what it? All of it.
Hey Joyfish21 that would make you Lee's daughter or son? Love it I Lived in Fulham Court along with Billy and co. Mum and dad were great you know every Friday night playing cards with my mum and dad and not forgetting the dog Rex!
Thanks for all the comments. I first saw them at the UEA in 1985 supporting the Alarm. Country of the Blind came out as a single shortly after. I also saw them at Milton Keynes. The Eventide album was disappointing though - terrible production. As a live act I have rarely seen better - after 25 years of gigs.

seen them a few times easter parade was brilliant and when you sit and listen to the words it is still topical today
Brings back brilliant memories following The Alarm all over the country. Saw them at some great little venues as well. The nuts.
Great song!
Thanks for this. A great band that were truly under rated.
Class been looking some Faith Brothers on here for ages
good band I remember taping the video from music box singer had a cool red harrington and that was good enough for my youthfull mod sensibilities.
