Shohin School's 2024 Winter Seminar

In this video Andrew shares photos and highlights from the 2024 Shohin School Winter Seminar with special guest Daisaku Nomoto from Japan. Daisaku is a shohin master and award winning bonsai artist with a passion for shohin bonsai, and has come to Portland for the second year in a row to passionately share his knowledge of shohin bonsai with our growing shohin community. Shohin School was founded by Jonas Dupuich and Andrew Robson to help students create, maintain and display outstanding shohin bonsai art.

love the concept: "we made 25 new stands that are now part of the community" ... local club is changing to be like this but every meeting the effort is for members to make new material correctly for the local hobby

Ah man. Wish I'd knew. Would've gone. I have knowledge on deciduous trees and junipers, but I'm trying my hands on Black pine. Would've loved to learn from this Shohin School. Will you guys do it next year?

Yes we’re doing it every January, and will hopefully be doing a pre-bonsai themed summer event this year too!
