I know if a Korean girl gives the stamp of approval it’s a winner! I so wish I had a friend in Korea (our neighbors and my stand in mom is Korean-but doesn’t go back to Korea. While I get kimchi when I’m sick I’ve got no one to get into Korean skin care with me).

I always hate how influencers fast forward makeup application process and show the finished parts and it leaves beginners clueless. I love how she clearly shows how she got the look just like a bob ross tutorial :D

Yes! It makes me nuts when people are doing their makeup and they'll start applying a product and just go, "And now I'll boend," and the next clip the makeup is perfectly applied. It's especially annoying when you can see the product application isn't starting off so well and the its perfect.

Often times when I see other beauty content it's to achieve some unrealistic standard and it just doesn't put me in a good place, it's definitely difficult growing up around that culture. Gahhh I hate all of those concocted norms, especially for women, that send the message that the most important thing in life is to put others' needs before your own. It makes no sense.
So many have said it, what's in fashion yesterday is repackaged and new again. Yet, you always give it such an elegant take to it. The glass look is so nice, I like the idea of mixing elevated glow with foundation. I bought the Pink Moon today and excited for its arrival. Thank you Lisa! Lisa, I would love to see a video that addresses "allergy face." Many people, including myself, have terrible allergies this time of year, and I would love to know how to achieve a brighter, fresher look. Instead I greet spring and summer weather with red, puffy eyes and skin irritation.

I loved this video (and already ordered the new highlighter), but I really appreciate your realism when it comes to the whole “perfect skin” issue. My daughter is only 11 but is starting to have issues with hormonal spots etc and when I try and explain the focus should be on caring for her skin both inside and out she thinks I’m talking rubbish! I had acne as a teenager and really look after my skin and try to teach my daughter the same ethos. I feel really sorry for young girls now, there seems to be so much emphasis on body perfection, skin perfection etc etc and it’s just not realistic. Thank you for being honest about this, I’ll show my daughter and hopefully she’ll believe you. X
Yes, my 11yr old knows that if she eats crisps, biscuits etc then the junky oils in them will give her spots, hard for a child :(

I think social media and marketing keep inventing synonyms for the same thing and treat them like new words, ha. Admittedly, the better my skin is the more I gravitate toward glass skin (my synonym of choice) looks. You aren’t wrong about growing up around these terms if you don’t already have the kind of skin that is flattered by shiny minimalism!

Thank You Lisa! I’ll be turning 50 next year and have been struggling with signs of aging, and how to wear makeup and stay more natural without looking like I’m trying too hard. It really is about perfecting the base and keeping skin clean and hydrated. My Nu Face broke sadly, so I switched to a Skin Gym Gua Sha tool and it works great too.

Now that I'm older, I appreciate small brushes to really target what I'm trying to conceal and perfect and bring light to areas. I don't really want a lot of product sitting on skin now that I am 49 and have much more texture than I used to. Less is more.

every now and then i get told i don’t need skincare products (not even sunscreen they say lmao) or makeup because i’m “young” (i’m 20) but then when i have a bad skin day and don’t wear makeup those same people will tell me my skin looks bad
i have acne-prone skin and your pin-point concealing technique is a huge confidence boost when my skin is acting up - you helped me realise i don’t need as much product as i thought (not that there’s anything wrong with a heavier base), and i’m so so glad i found your channel not long after i started doing makeup (a year or so before uni)
i loved the glass skin technique you shared as well - it was super useful for adapting the dewy skin trend to suit my very oily/shiny skin! so i’m definitely gonna try this glazed skin look the next time i wear makeup!!
Omg, no skin care? No SPF? Not meaning to be rude but that’s the most wicked advice I’ve ever heard for the health of your facial skin. Don’t ever ignore your skin! It’s the largest organ of the body and the most subjected target for everything you don’t want.

I’ve been mixing a touch of Jones Road Beauty Miracle Balm in Dusty Rose to my moisturizer to give an all over glow and then finishing my makeup with a touch more just over the high points where I want it to pop! I have a fun video idea for you… a look combining all the iconic products you’ve developed for other lines (no7 lip liner, Lancome eye palettes, etc) with all of your own line of products.

You look phenomenal. ♥️ All of this fits you very well - as the true artist that you are (on mixing and matching in this specific case). I was wondering specifically if using loose powder instead of pressed (both clear and pigmented) and would make a noticeable difference?
A big THANK YOU for the tips mentioning “problem” areas. My skin looks much better now (hoping to reach that level of perfection) but I do struggle with the occasional spot, even though I’m 32 and having done skincare religiously for the past decade at the very least. The good thing is that even though I use potent ingredients (or pharmaceutical products), I take my moisturizing and sunscreen very seriously and I actually do not experience any peeling or dry skin. So I cannot wait to try this look myself, I personally prefer it over the “glass skin” which I actually never attempted to do because it seemed a bit too unrealistic for me personally and too shiny for my combination skin. Also, I’ll most likely try this step by step after purchasing Pink Moon because it looks absolutely stunning. (I’m shade 9 so I have high hopes, as Crystal Nebula is also fantastic and I loved you mixing them.) Thank you again for breaking down seemingly easy make-up looks in such detail and being lovely and encouraging as always!

Wow that is such a top tip re the organic pharmacy masks! I have nuface and use the accompanying gel but don’t love HRT ingredients and have used the organic pharmacy a lot previously but it hasn’t occurred to me to use a gel mask… excited to try 🤩
