I have not lost faith on Modis govt for the 3 rd term . I am sure they will do introspection and do what’s necessary. But have completely lost faith in some right wing commentators . They behaved like a echo chamber. Every one was hyping . And now post election they are trying to justify everything no introspection on their part .

You can watch that if you want better understanding of why BJP lost 60 seats, despite only losing ~1% vote share. The problem is we humans like to simplify everything. But indian elections are the biggest elections in the entire world and there is way too much complexity and unpredictability. It's easy to point out 2-3 things that went wrong, but there are 543 constituencies in india and 800 million voters each with their own issues. you can't say these 2-3 things are the reasons BJP lost 60 seats. becasue that can't possibly be true. also it's not the right wing commentators fault that every single exit poll turned out to be BS.

Sangh actually deserves a LOT more criticism. Kushal is giving too much cover for that slow, incompetent organization. JNU is still a leftist bastion, the Sangh keeps supressing non left Academic within India and it's too busy appeasing Muslims. Meanwhile, our Academic keep balkanizing India fueling Jattiva while the Sangh watches, our holy sites like Dwarka keep getting surrounded by Muslims ghettos, while the Sangh watches, when they had power and influence, they were too slow. The Sangh deserves the angry responses. They have ignored Hindu concerns in their mission to become more friendly. Sangh forgets that Ayodhya was a Jan Andolan, not a Sangh Andolan.

This argument of "bjp ne party tod di baate karne vale bolte reh gaye" is pretty damn stupid. Sure, they broke the parties and formed the state government, took their banners etc. But look at the lok sabha performance. NCP has one seat. Shinde Sena has got 6 seats. Maharashtra has been one of the biggest electoral failures of the bjp in 2024 after up. It was a somewhat shortsighted political move to break shiv sena, but it was a political disaster to absorb ajit pawar and praful patel.
And the Modi government has been crippled in the 3rd term. You are absolutely right that the upa had far worse numbers, but the upa was stricken with policy paralysis, instability and the like. The comparison is not exactly favorable for the BJP.
Political strength has to be measured in terms of your goals. For Rahul Gandhi, his goals are to destabilize and weaken the BJP, and he has done well in that regard, as opposed to the BJP, whose reformist goals are extremely ambitious. For them 240 is absolutely a major setback, if not a five year break. Kushal's analyses on this are way off in my opinion

I hope BJP doesn't loses hope and does something weird because of this bombardment of right wingers. BJP should introspect, doesn't fall for this ridiculous advices and take a sane decision of continuing its good work, like reinstating the same cabinet, which will ensure economic stability is there and puts trust in VC's and investors, grow the economy to No.3. Next it should focus on the upcoming state elections this year and move ahead. Once it gets all the states under BJP rule, which go into elections this year, then it can very well implement all it thought about implementing if this have got a majority by themselves alone. BS whatever you propose will ensure defeat for BJP , to win BJP must play the caste card shrewdly, give tickets to dudes who actually win elections , give targeted freebies to major vote banks (caste based or OBC or ST), play politics besides bringing eco reform at speed . The only way to counter is to create a system where percentage of failure is less than 10% if not 0. This is the only way they can save their faces, they cancelled UGC net exam yesterday because of paper leak suspicion, they should be more vigilant, otherwise they won't be able to stop anything.

About geopolitcs, this kids don't know we have border disputes with China but still we do business with them. We have good relations with Russia still they are in war with Ukraine , then and then also we have good relations with Ukraine also. Agree with both the respected commentators on all things except: 1) The NEET test is a big fiasco. 7 or more kids from one exam center scoring full marks needs to be thoroughly investigated. The NTA just cancelled UGC-NET due to suspected fraud. 2) Sports and politics are already mixed. The Indian team was wrong to kneel for BLM. The issue with comparing Modi 3 with UPA is that Modi has burned a lot of bridges with potential allies in his 10 years and has completely polarised Indian politics. UPA 1 and 2 could have ditched some allies and taken on new ones without much issue. That is not possible now because leaders of all parties that are currently not in NDA have extreme hate for the BJP for one reason or another. Even his allies are suspicious of him because BJP has a track record of backstabbing their own allies. The numbers of Modi 3 are the max he can reach after all possible concessions while UPA had a lot of flexibilty with whom they could form the government.

As if Modi was doing anything earlier as far as domestic issues are concerned. Became a Mauni baba during Punjab Haryana farmer's protest, Manipur riots, CAA, Agniveer scheme and now NEET scam. Not only he, but his whole party remains mute on such issues instead of properly communicating with public and resolving the issues quickly so that normal public like us don't suffer at the hands of the protestors like we did during CAA and farmer's protest. Now, they are hell bent on making the youth their enemy by not communicating on NEET scam. During the water supply crisis in Delhi, they are just busy playing blame games with AAP and doing dharna protests, instead of taking matters in own hand via LG, so that public doesn't suffer. Let alone these issues, christian conversions by luring and befooling people have been happening in Punjab right under their nose but they have done nothing.
BJP is a Congress 2.0. Other side of same coin. Despite enormous power and parry support, PM Modi have no clue how to act at critical time. No consistency. All issues they act like hit and run. Modi Cabinet works best under Pressure. I think BJP will take "Bade Faisle" along with strong opposition. Are there any steps taken by India/Global leaders to find some way to live peacefully with Islamic radicalism? E.g. some talks with prominent islamic leaders to change their policies. I am not talking about the aggressive stances, but actual ground level work to find a solution.

Tushar I always like to listen your thoughts and most of the times I agree with you. But your thoughts on railways are completely wrong. In Maharashtra the route I travel has no Vande Bharat. Only twice I travelled by train and my experience was horrible. I travelled with my 3 year old and my train was delayed by 16 hours and to reach the destination it took 19 hours whereas it used to take only 8 hours. This happened twice so you can imagine the level of frustration. So please get some reality check before defending railway minister

But we strongly question BJP on the rise of inflation and disrupting the lives of common man. The Opposition's claim of high Unemployment and Unaffordable Cost of Living is NOT wrong & Air fares are Sky Rocketing. BJP may not make it, even in Urban areas next time, if they do not work on inflation and creating Services jobs for Graduates, that are the backbone of Middle Class.. and NOT just Labour jobs. Middle class casts its votes on how their lives are impacted and NOT on any propaganda For or Against any party.
These so called OBCs, elect Govt. for Freebies, so that they can sit Idle. Let us see How Long and How Well, they survive on Free Food and Free money, if Middle class can't afford to employ them anymore. Already Governments have no money for Municipal work. Street Cleaners are collecting Money from every house to clean streets. So what is Middle class getting, after paying the taxes, we are paying Municipal Salaries too, because Govt has No Money to pay Municipal workers, but it has Money to give "Free Cash to Women " - to sit at home an increase the Population further.
Educated Middle class incomes / jobs have not increased but basic monthly grocery bills of Nuclear Family have roughly increased from 3k to 5K, additionally Petrol, Cylinder and household help costs. We gave BJP full majority and they are trying to increase vote share by giving Freebies like AAP, making it impossible for Middle Class to get Labour Services. If Labour Community (Shramiks) gets Food, Cash and House without any commitment or Services in Return, why will they work. Is BJP trying to create and Army of Beggar Women in the Country, and buy votes in return. This is Nonsense in the name of Welfare Programs. They are pushing Middle class in the Poverty line.
