  • Drills from footage of Kirill Karpizov's highlight tapes.
Steve from BK Hockey runs us through several skating-based drills that replicate what we've seen Kirill Kaprizov do on the ice (games/warm-ups).
You'll notice a big focus on opening the hips with mohawks, as Kaprizov utilizes the "10&2" skating in his game more than almost any player in the National League.
2023 Toronto Summer Camp - BK Hockey and Hockey Training are teaming up for a summer camp in Toronto. Sign-up here before it fills up: hockeytraining.com/bk

Steve always makes it look so effortless and easy, and then I try even the most basic things, and end up looking like a baby giraffe walking on ice! Great as always!

I appreciate the slow footage, it’s helps a lot as someone trying to learn more, and look at what I need to work on.

Yeah we've heard that before so I'm going to try and do a little slo-mo with every drill in the future. Thanks for the feedback!

As always impeccable transitions. I would add a single leg outside edge to the warm up.

Is Steve Korean? I think I heard him speaking Korean in a previous video. I am korean and my son, 15 years old, is playing in U18 Major AAA NB and he wants to play in QMJHL next year. He is a big fan of Steve and hope to see him in person in future. This channel has helped a lot to improve his hockey. Always appreciated.

Slow footage REPLAY helps breaking things down... And makes me anticipate how much I will struggle when I attempt to practice this.

This would be great to apply what I got from this video, but ice is so expensive. May just have to wait until winter again..
