I love Ren. Found him in a very dark time. His story could be my story. I am 20 years into autoimmunity and weird shit no doctors can figure out and psychosis comes with it. He keeps me going everyday.

Amazingly sad but he explains painfully how he felt in with Lyme disease. From one veteran to another I thank you for your service. I was in the Air Force many many years ago and no where near any battle lines. But I can understand it from what I have heard from others that were in the Viet Nam conflict. I shudder, and thankful during my time women were not normally on the battle fields.
The fact he was misdiagnosed for seven years, told it was all in his head, given all sorts off drugs that didn't help, only to finaly find out he had lime disease. But by that time it was to late and the permamet damage was done. Sad story but amazing strength to be able to bounce back.
You put Ren beside his musical contemporaries, and he's simply streets ahead. The vast majority are singing about inconsequential crap, over beats we've heard too many times. And from Ren, brilliant music that's actually saying stuff that desperately needs to be said. The World needs more artists like Ren. Music is the most excellent medium to communicate with each other, and 99% of musicians are wasting it with simplistic nonsense to make a quick buck.
I adore Ren...please understand he's still a young (33 I believe) man with a sense of humor...loves to have fun and poke at folks ...his talent is obvious and he will melt your heart and make you cringe all in the same week

I’m a 46yo musician who’s recently gone through some medical issues and been misdiagnosed too, which lead to so much physical and mental pain. I can’t remember a musician having such an impact on me. Ren knows how to communicate honestly and uniquely and is an absolute superstar 💪 So much respect for him ⭐️
I found the sample in a subreddit. Gank - Ressurection. I've known for a long time there is no money in a cure but they can make a shit ton in perpetual treatment. I've literally told my therapist how we run this world makes me sick, I've heard the voice when you loosen the noose on the rope. It's insane how much I can relate to this man. And I can only imagine how hard it is to throw his physical challenges on top of it. This dude is hard af still being here today. So inspirational.

The "Butcher Pig" represents many different things to many people. Ren has never said on record what it represents. However, that said, he is a big fan of George Orwell's book Animal Farm. Im 40 years old. I was just diagnosed with Complex-PTSD from my childhood. Ive been living my whole life with it. And just found out. I agree, the pills are treatment but not a cure. You have to try to unravel all the feelings and traumas by yourself... And for anyone who hasn't been there.... it feels like you are fighting for your life. I so identify with what you're saying about coming home from Iraq. My husband is an Airforce vet. And has ptsd as well. It can be really rough.
I agree on the medication problem.. People made to think it's normal to shove pills down ya throat not knowing what it's doing.. Ren was misdiagnosed for about 7 years caused him to breakdown mentally and physically.. Finally he was diagnosed with lyme disease.. He's getting treatment now but alot of damage was done.. He's got amazing strength.. I'm glad you stuck to your guns I know it's the hard way but you can do it if determined 💪❤✌️.
I'm nearly 60 and have CPTSD from not having a safe place to lay my head until i was 40 and they started me on antidepressants at 32. It took 25 years before a DNA test showed why I was having such bad side effects to the meds was because it showed none of them were compatible with my DNA. I went through hell for 25 years taking one pill that made me ill, another made me suicidal, yet another left me sweating profusely with the windows wide open and the temp 33° in my bedroom Like you said, if you need it and it works, take it but it's pushed too hard on people as the only option sometimes

Not that many Ren tracks get old for me (most of the songs he chose to not release a full video for on the album are songs I skip listening to), but this one, especially, never gets old for me. The gritty beat, the Bulgarian choir sample, and the message - including the chair smashing and table flipping - just... GO SO HARD in my soul.
I adore you! As a widow of a Marine and a Sucide Hotine counselor in Okinawa for Marines while lliving there....I get your story. I also have auto immune and TBI. I was misdiagnosed with MS for a year. I have Lupus. So....I am fighting for life like Ren .

🎉 Welcome to the Ren rabbit hole 🤘 I first went down here at the start of the year. I’m a 46yo musician who’s recently gone through some medical issues and been misdiagnosed too, which lead to so much physical and mental pain.
I can’t remember a musician having such an impact on me. Ren knows how to communicate honestly and uniquely and is an absolute superstar 💪

I found the sample in a subreddit. Gank - Ressurection. I've known for a long time there is no money in a cure but they can make a shit ton in perpetual treatment. I've literally told my therapist how we run this world makes me sick, I've heard the voice when you loosen the noose on the rope. It's insane how much I can relate to this man. And I can only imagine how hard it is to throw his physical challenges on top of it. This dude is hard af still being here today. So inspirational.

The "Butcher Pig" represents many different things to many people. Ren has never said on record what it represents. However, that said, he is a big fan of George Orwell's book Animal Farm. There is a strong correlation for corporate greed, corruption, butchering each other for power and wealth. Just my personal perspective. Loved the reaction! New sub here! Im 40 years old. I was just diagnosed with Complex-PTSD from my childhood. Ive been living my whole life with it. And just found out.
I agree, the pills are treatment but not a cure.
You have to try to unravel all the feelings and traumas by yourself... And for anyone who hasn't been there.... it feels like you are fighting for your life.
I so identify with what you're saying about coming home from Iraq. My husband is an Airforce vet. And has ptsd as well. It can be really rough.

I agree on the medication problem.. People made to think it's normal to shove pills down ya throat not knowing what it's doing.. Ren was misdiagnosed for about 7 years caused him to breakdown mentally and physically.. Finally he was diagnosed with lyme disease.. He's getting treatment now but alot of damage was done.. He's got amazing strength.. I'm glad you stuck to your guns I know it's the hard way but you can do it if determined 💪❤✌️.

I'm nearly 60 and have CPTSD from not having a safe place to lay my head until i was 40 and they started me on antidepressants at 32. It took 25 years before a DNA test showed why I was having such bad side effects to the meds was because it showed none of them were compatible with my DNA. I went through hell for 25 years taking one pill that made me ill, another made me suicidal, yet another left me sweating profusely with the windows wide open and the temp 33° in my bedroom
Like you said, if you need it and it works, take it but it's pushed too hard on people as the only option sometimes
