I have a laptop, it's very slow and runs minecraft 1.20 at 18 fps at 620p resolution
ok
А теперь поставь Arch Linux на данный ноут и поиграть на нем, там только под Linux работает Vulkan и многие другие фичи
@@ZephyrrLegend mine runs 1.16 at 7 fps and 1.17 and above on 2 unstable fps

@@NotroDan the laptop at 0:14 is also the same laptop my uncle has but way more abused, the fingerprint sensor is destroyed, keyboard ain't working, and Windows was corrupt, so a 13 year old (me) has to fix it all the time, hey, at least I'm allowed to use it
@@NotroDanI remember watching your Christmas PvP pack video. I believe to date it is the BEST PvP pack I ever tried. Using it today gives me ton of nostalgia, although it is kinda broken on bedrock 1.20, which I was thankfully able to fix
Bruh those specs are better then my pc 💀
how much is your pc worth?😭😭
Bro I've been watching ur vids for so many years but they never get boring! Keep up the good work man❤
1. Repaste thermal paste
2. Save the license key and reinstall debloated windows.
3. Install drivers separately
4. WINDOWS updates repeated 3 times.
5. Then run Chris Titus tool in laptop configuration and check more things.
6. Done.
7. Install Arch Linux on kernel zen
this isn't "optimizing" this is just making it into a new laptop???

very nice
what you lack in minecraft modding and settings you definetly make up with your knowledge in tweaking the OS and hardware
yo the last video i watched literally 1 year ago because I thought you quit CZcams, so sorry, but looks like you're back! (if you're back I don't know if you even quit), I will watch your new videos again now!
On the simply optimized modoack there is an intenside guide on how to optimize the latest version of minecraft as much as possible, it event talks about flags and jaca versions
Great video I subscribed just wanna say you kinda look like a good guy and your face matches with Napolean.
I have a laptop with the intel hd 5500. I made some modded drivers for it based of phdgd and latest 2021 drivers. If you want to try it, let me know
Dude can do anything fr
This video is really nostalgic ❤
I think you should research all of the possible upgrades for this laptop and possibly even get one of the external GPU slots so you could run a dedicated graphics card.
For some reason when i turned off fog i got a jump on fps. Not sure if this will work for every laptop though.
I always use your astral 16x16 texture pack in all my montages, it's good
Hey Notro, the video you made on the best gaming os(which was Nobara OS) has some download issues if you are not from an asian country.
I would love to see you using the Fedora distrobution however it's basically the same.
Nobara's been updated to the latest version of Fedora and has many more fixes though, another good video idea would be to test all the operating systems on the 20$ laptop which are different in a sort of way and advise us if they can be used for a lower performance laptop too.
Hope you see this, I don't really think it is the best idea but you could think about it?
maybe try bazzite if you are having problems with nobara
Good video, Dan! Maybe I can apply it to a laptop I have to see if it works
Have a go, hopefully it will help
hey dan, i got some reccommendations for you. you should try and maybe install a lightweight distro of linux on the laptop. or if you dont want to do so, switch to another client as feather actually decreases performance while in gameplay. when you start the game, you should go to task manager and search for minecrafts process in the details section. after locating that, right click on the process, then go to priority, then click on realtime. what it does is locate more of the resources to minecraft than usual. also, try to use a video capture card and stop using obs. obs usually takes away most, if not all the performance you could be getting in minecraft. you should also use 8x8 packs as they also help.
he is using a capture card
8 by 8 packs actually help very minimally since that’s a storage medium bottle neck and not a cpu or gpu related performance upgrade
@@Novessian 8x8 packs should help in really low end pcs because i tried it out in 3 types of pc myself..
yeah, the performance and everything would be so much better on anything else than Windows lol
@@hyperkun the only problem imo is the hundreds of distros thst are gonna confuse the average new linux user
same . when my laptop is plugin my minecraft fps is like 120+ but when unplug fps is 60 stable
How do i figure whats the latest and best intel for me at 9:51 ????
Cuz i have gotten a intel core i5 6300U cpu @2.40GHz 2.50 GHz
Dan, you should try to upgrade the cpu to something like a Core i7-4910MQ it's a fairly cheap cpu for like ~50$ and it's also a PGA 946 socket so it should fit in it can also be found on ebay easily i hope you could try this and show us the performance of it❤❤❤
Hey quick question, how do I know if i can keep my laptop plugged in while use?
My laptop has a core i5-3380M (almost equal to i3-4000M) and I get almost 200 fps by just using sodium and by lowering the setting on latest Minecraft
This is my new favourite channel
This guy is a pretty good nice new sub❤
I think you would be better of with fabulously optimized than just throwing together a bunch of mods. A lot of mods are incompatible or do the same thing. Some might even make the experience worse. Using a modpack which has been tested, and is made to get the best performance possible would probably be a better choice.
This video is absolutely amazing, also can you upload the mods that you used in the description?
There's a lot. You can find all of them in modrinth easily tho
I have an old x250 and 1.20.4 with simply optimized is infinitely better than 1.8.9 so im using that. Also your cpu render ahead limit was quite low and keeping it on 5-6 is normally better so that's probably why you werent getting many frames.
You must try to use modpacks such as Simple Optimised to get the most FPS in 1.20.4
Fabulously optimized with nvidum if you have a nivdia gpu goes crazy
I noticed at 8:39 the error popup resembles more of windows 11 than 10 or maybe I'm going insane idk
Please NotroDan, try to optimize the uhd 600 next video?
Ur the best❤
Great video 👍
Thank you!
On my old laptop I already upgraded ram and ssd, I'm not sure if a cpu upgrade would be possible but that's probably the only bottleneck now..
Wow that's crazy! Could you do a tutorial on how to get more FPS on minecraft?
No tutorial needed, here's the easiest way:
Install Fabric for Minecraft 1.20.1
Download the following mods: Sodium, Lithium, Iris, FerriteCore, C2ME, Noisium, (and if you have an Nvidia GPU from 2019 or newer, like an Nvidia GTX 1660) Nvidium and then run the game. You should be able to double your FPS.
i like how the ultimate performance power plan is just a renamed high performance power plan
True
Can all of this also work for other games not just Minecraft to have a better performance?
Hey Dan! I am trying to make some content also but I am having trouble recording and keeping a good gaming performance. How did u record on this laptop??
Capture card
I tuned my CPU so much it was @2.4GHz now at 1% it runs at 3.35GHz - 4.02GHz.
Hello what do you think about asus tuff f15 i7?
yeah, my old laptop using Intel® Core™ i3-2350M, 6gb ram, 128ssd. I try to using ubuntu to playing minecraft and wow, in 1.20.4 it run smoothly in 10chunk with 70fps fast graphic
dude i would like to see you test other games on devices like this stuff like call of duty (older ones not new ones unless u want to)
Yeah if people want me to test other games the most popular suggestions I can try and run
what is the recording app you use on this pc ?? the recording looks so smooth
Obs studio and a capture card
Love the video but do you remember me in the fps world record I uploaded?
the video is amazing, try switching the processor. It will help
You forgot one crusial step in boosting your performance: install Linux.
Also don’t use ultimate performance it is causing the lag spikes
You should have used sodium and iris fabric version, its more optimized then anything else.
Feather actually decreases your performance when gaming. As well as injecting code into some modloaders, it's pretty bad.
Yeah should use Badlion
@@QuickVicMCbadlion is even worse, the should use forge with of foamfix and another mods
I use feather and its good for me but that's my opinion
@@saulsho29 foam fix is ass
Feather is better for lower amounts of ram and 3rd-8th gen CPUs. I went from 8gb of ddr3 on 200 fps with a i7 4th gen, to 24gb of ddr3 on same CPU about 100 fps.
the Sodium mod for minecraft would’ve greatly increased your performance, and would be a lot less difficult to do.
Actually i found a trick in new versions. If you have one good laptop( like a 4070 or 3060 laptop) and make a world on that good laptop and then join on the fheap or old laptop your fps is much better like 50 to 200% from my testings
I used chris titan tool and my keybord takes imput a bunch of times. Whenever i type a letter it just spams it. Do u know whats wrong
How to get the renderer option and all the other options I can’t find them. Or am I using the wrong version
Bro can you tell me why you run msi on your laptop i also need to optimize my latop
never in my life have i wanted a shittier PC than what i have more than i do now
I have a shittier laptop than this lol
Try running it with Nobara os or PikaOs (PikaOS is a very nice os)
Hey notro been subbed for a very long time I wanted to ask you something can you run Minecraft 1.20 on 8gb ram Intel I5 2nd gen with ssd integrated graphics with tlauncher you might think why are these specs specific cuz it's my PC 😅 ik it's bad I hope you see this:)
integrated graphics probably wont let you play 1.16+ versions of minecraft because of the opengl version that is limited to 3.2 while you need 4.6. also, try to use legacy launcher since tlauncher is suspected to have included spyware with their launcher.
@@AnAverageNightStalker I use legacy launcher
I have some performance mods use Linux with vulkanmod just in case the gpu doesn't support it inside of windows it make a gt 1030 go from 60 - 100 to 400 - 500 16 chunks both you should really try it
тут нет вулкана так что Vulkanmod не прокатит а хотя подождите он только под Linux поддерживает, да хорошая идея, я так несколько ноутов ожил и тут тем более intel у которого Opengl станет 4.6 и вулкан 1.1
It depends on your gpu the minimum gpu is the ivy bridge mobile processor on linux but if you have a new gpu like maybe an rx 570 then u could use it without linux@@archlinux573
bro how to download ap im not understanding it ?
edit; can you tell me?
This vid was amazing
I love your vids keep it up
Thank you, glad people are enjoying this one
im 100% sure you can optimize glass stone and wires to play 100 FPS on minecraft.
What do you mean, explain pls
u need a good cpu to run monecraft at 100fps (atleast a 4/5 gen)
أراهن أنك لم تشاهده حتى النهاية وقلت ماين كرافت
@@Dryashs To be fair, Minecraft is a pretty old game based on voxel, I wont be surprised if a 3rd gen intel can run it
@@bacon_with_brussels_sprout it can
Which software are you using to record on this laptop?
i dont know if you disabled mipmap level
i saw it was on maximum and that has a pretty good performance impact
notrodan i optimized my laptop soo good that i can get 600 fps on integrated graphics at accetable graphics and its pretty old too i used the xtboxtool to download a bunch of optimizers and after running all of them + some internet and regedit optimazations and overclocking my ultra low power cpu i managed to achive 3.4ghz with a 2.3 base clock and the 600 fps at 6 chunks 720p in 1.20.1
Great work!
my laptops specs are - intel pentium quad core , 4 gb ram, intel hd graphics 128 gb ssd, what do i do to optimize i did everything my laptop doesnt even support ram upgrade it can harldy rum mc at 60 to 80 fps with lowest texture pack everything at lowest setiing all optimization mod wt do i do? 😭😭
You should try installing tiny 10 or tiny 11 on it (it’s a super cut down version of windows 11/10 with barely anything on it)
Had a laptop with i3 3110m and with fabric and mods like sodium I easily get 60+ fps but
compromise with 2 chucks :(, don't lie but with upgraded ram and ssd it will last long than any ultra budget comes in today ,for surfering net and low intensive task.
Had? like you don't use that laptop anymore? Cause there are a couple things left out from the video which would improve the performance even more. If you are interested that is.
Close the screen recording app to get more fps. Screen recorders like OBS makes minecraft run slower (less fps) because it's also using resources minecraft could be using.
I am using a Elgato capture card to capture the screen, no recording software even installed or running :D
@@NotroDan what capture card do you have, I have an elgato hd60x
I have this same laptop and I still have it and it works after many optimizations now it runs cm pack and bat mod with minimum 120 fps
I also use tiny 11
I mainly used ur videos for optimization like the Chris Titus tool
What version of Minecraft do you play?
@@user-c29dxkl4 1.8 works perfectly
my minecraft clients all say they give me around 100-150 fps though it feels like 40 until I put on my charger. 1.20 works better and I have no issues with that, its only on 1.8.9. I have hone and razer cortex on and I have tried most popular clients, anyone got a fix?
Hey, this is my laptop
Like yours yours or just the same model
@@birkyt8400 like the same model but has i5
Why didn't you turn on smooth fps in optifine??
I must be doing it wrong, but the best performance setting I've found for feather client, is to not use feather client.
you know it's a good day when NotroDan uploads
a laptop like that could still be used as a home server or something
notro how did you make feather client account?
download the NATTA AQUA texture pack it boost ur fps SOOOO MUCH from 150-200 fps
Palm rejection moment. Most laptops have a setting like that that disables moving the mouse and/or clicking while using the keyboard.
Yo Notro can you do a client review for silent client pls
What recorder do you use to record in that loptop
Dose this man not look like Crispy from Zwormz Gaming😮
In last u said that the fps are fluctuating a lot. But what if u cap the fps to like 60 fps? Will that help in the performance?
Possibly, but it just goes down to 30FPS one minute and 300 the next
But if we cap it to 60 it won't go above it
But it will come down. So capping can make the game smoother if the fps is in the 60s range. What do u think about it?
Bro why so much thermal paste for such a small die, that would be too much on a thread ripper.
I love How Hes Getting 600 While Recording, Its Fascinating on How He Used So Many Optimizations.
He is recording on another pc with a capture card or plugging it into the pc. Directly
0:24 my laptop also has same problem like this how to fix this any idea?
Thanks man
bro if u will record and play game at the same time it will definetly lag my pc specs are same and im easily getting 70 to 80fps with mods and on 32chunks so please try it with without recording...
Use the Sodium mod, it will 3x your Minecraft fps.
One tip is to turn minimap level to zero for some reason this will affect performance
I was gonna say to use nvidium which is a mod that tripples your fps in mc. But you dont have a gpu..
Why does everyone think 4gb ram is bad? I run minecraft at 60 fps by changing 2 settings and i also run tf2 perfectly but stalker anomaly is sometimes laggy
Was the screen sold separately?
here's a challenge, can you optimize a laptop with intel celeron n4020 with 4gbs of ram, tho im not sure if you've already done this
