  • I cover how to program Honda keys and how to add a new keyless access fob on Honda. This is done on Honda Accords 2013 - 2017, using the Autel scanner MP808TS. This will also work in other Honda of similar year with smart keys or proximity keys.
    If you are looking for how to program keyless entry remote or how to program keyless entry smart key to start car, or how to program a new Honda keyless entry remote, you will find this helpful. To program proximity key fob for Honda e.g., Accord, Pilot, CRV, Oddysey, Civic, etc, a suitable scan tool such as the Autel MaxiPRO MP808TS is required. Programming keys for Honda with push to start is quite simple if the right scanner is available and instructions followed. This can be done DIY with appropriate knowledge, avoiding the trip to the locksmith and saving money. You can check Autel's vehicle coverage tool here to see if the MP808TS can program keys for your car: www.autel.com/vehicle-coverag...
    Considering the Autel MaxiPRO MP808TS device? Buy on:
    Amazon - amzn.to/3mddOH1
    Aliexpress: s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_AAGO0F
    I may earn a small commission from a purchase made through the link above. This does not increase the price you pay in any way, rather it helps support this small channel.

      @DIYAutoworksNG they're really helpful I've been awake all night watching your videos, yeah ill let you know when it comes, really hard to get reviews on it, there isn't even 1 video of it on CZcams either, as you said I don't think it will do the infrared keys but I won't know until I get the key tool separately, on the description it says it can help performance on cars with the ecu coding, is that remapping?

    • @DIYAutoworksNG
      @DIYAutoworksNG  Před rokem

      Otofix actually approached me sometime back to do a review, but they wanted to have a say in the final content of the video, so I said no. They weren't too impressed by the 3000 subscribers I had then too. 😂
      Remapping is more advanced than ECU coding. Remapping rewrites the ECU software, coding doesn't.

      The remote key only has the lock and close the lock
      The remote key is the same model as jazz and brv
      Can I upgrade to a remote auto start key?

    • @DIYAutoworksNG
      @DIYAutoworksNG  Před rokem

      I'm not sure if the car supports remote start. Maybe it does, maybe not. I'm thinking if it did, it probably would have come with a fob with the remote start button. Check in the vehicle settings and see if you can find remote start anywhere.

    Thank you for your video. Let me understand, you are copying the existing FOB. I purchased a USED vehicle with one FOB - the seller claims he lost the other FOB. My questio: Can 2 NEW FOB be reprogrammed, so the missing FOB can't be used to operate (steal) my vehicle.

      This car and many others with smart keys can only be programmed with the appropriate scan tools. The cheapest tool I know that can do this is the XTOOL D7. They may be cheaper ones, but that's the one I've used and can confirm. I also have a video on it. I also have some discount coupons for added discounts.

      I agree with you. If all one wants to do is just program the key and not much else, taking it to the dealership will be more cost effective. The tool begins to make sense if you are a heavier user.

    Video cuts out to show the part where the machine has to read the PINCODE and this scanner cannot do that so do not buy this scanner if u want it to program keys ... you will have to buy the pin codes from dealers ... 😆 atleast explain that part in the video

    • @DIYAutoworksNG
      @DIYAutoworksNG  Před 8 měsíci +1

      Some cars need pin codes. Not Honda.
      I have never programmed a Honda that needed you to read pin code data. Even Toyota don't require it either. However, Dodge, Nissan, Benz and some others do.
