Why were the scenes cut? When Carrie sees the movers and says "wow" Doug responds with "forget it, they're gay" which was taken out here. You can still hear the laughter after his sentence. And when Carrie mimics the neighbors, she continues after the line about butter, mimicking "can we use the phone? Our house has been robbed"

3:41 It always bothered me how Carrie puts her robe on the bed. It's barely staying there as it is. Then they're going to be sleeping. It'll surely fall off. That's not how anyone would really put it away.
I always hated how cowardly Doug was. Maybe the only reason Carrie was always aggressive was because she had to protect the family instead of her miserable husband.
Doug wasn’t being a coward he was being mature and recognizing that he had to deal with these people everyday and it would be foolish to burn the bridge immediately.
